"Friendship" is a magical-class noun.
Hello again.
This is a followup to my previous blogpost where I detailed my immediate reäction to a sudden and (yet somehow not) total loss of my data to a hard drive crash.
So.
Some of you, mainly over on Discord, might've been wondering why I kept a near-total comms blackout over the last two weeks.
I've written a lot of Equestrian dialogue in this story, but never bothered to translate it in the story itself. I wanted to leave it a mystery for the reader -- and besides, from my experimentation I found in-story translations to be rather tacky. But now that it's complete (including the paper explaining the phonology, grammar, and so forth), I think it's high time to pull the curtains back and show the reader what the hell the ponies have been saying all along.
First, I'd like to open this blogpost by reminding you that Fimfiction's development started ten years ago on this very day. Feel old yet?
That said. . . .
For almost seven years, I've wanted to write a particular fanfiction. I've gravitated to similar stories, but they all have their own shortcomings. Even the classics and the most technically adept have their flaws in one specific department -- which motivates me all the more.
. . . try, try again.
Something you've never seen. . . .
Almost two years ago, my browser, Google Chrome, started acting up on me. No matter what I tried to access, the "He's Dead, Jim!" error kept popping up. No rhyme or reason to it.
Today, on a whim, I relaunched Chrome. . . no issues. None at all. It works flawlessly.
I'm still sticking with Vivaldi. That thing where you can group tabs together is so cool.
Good night, and good luck.
I am, Shia! Now shut up and let me concentrate!
