Okay, now that I've finally gotten my squee together, I've gotten Checkmate up and running. So far so good.

Lesson here: plan a story out from the beginning before you start writing it, and make sure that everything fits together.

Just heard today that Batman: Arkham Knight has been delayed until June 23. My reaction was as follows:

Oh, well, at least we got a pretty sweet new gameplay video. And as far as I know, MLP Season 5 is still go for April 4, so that'll tide me over for a while.

So I need some suggestions for a good pony name for Australian or Aboriginal, to name Phillip's "people." So far, the best names I can come up with are "Aushaylians," "Sidneighsiders," and "Bushponies." Anyone else got any ideas?

So I watched Rainbow Rocks today. It was okay: more or less just an hour and 20 minute episode. Plot was pretty typical and kind of stretched out. Sunset Shimmer kind of got some character development, which makes me disappointed they didn't really do anything with Flash. Other than that, it really didn't add anything to the characters, which is part of the reason that I don't consider EQG to be canon (at least not in my story universe). One thing that always amazes me about this fandom is the art we produce that places characters from the show in tender moments that never fail to bring in the feels. Some of my favorite art of this type is Scootalove, where Scootaloo gets some TLC from Rainbow Dash and others.

As someone who considers the Equestria Girls universe non-canon, thought the first movie was somewhat enjoyable but didn't really add anything to the characters or story (besides Flash, but that's another story), and as someone who already spoiled the plot for himself by looking it up on Wikipedia, should I really take the time to watch it?
