After five months of living in Equestria, more specifically in Canterlot Castle, it finally feels like the constant staring is long gone. You've gotten acquainted with a handful of guards, and even had a good friendship with two civilians. Life is starting to become a lot better, until somepony makes an off-hand comment about Nurse Redheart's paper on your health.

It does not take much to know that Octavia and Vinyl are very different ponies. However, most don't realize that they share some similarities. Octavia and Vinyl are both very well known musicians in their field, and for good reason, they both attended the same music school, they both excelled in their studies, they both graduated with Music Theory, and they both share a secret unknown to nearly everypony in Equestria.

Octavia's family owns a restaurant. If you didn't know her family, this would be shocking, it certainly was to one of her classmates ,Vinyl Scratch. Vinyl saw Octavia playing on a small stage in the restaurant while walking home from university, and decided to see what it was about.
Please keep in mind that the name in parenthesis in the chapter names is the point of view that chapter takes place with. Like, chapter one is Octavia's point of view, chapter two is Vinyl's, and etc.
