However, Fluttershy's evening takes an interesting--and unsettling--turn when she encounters a very odd mare.

Spread out through several volumes, she has documented the various ups and downs of her life so that she may reflect on them. Derpy's diary tells a long story of positives, negatives, and the occasional tragedy. But through it all, Derpy always manages to find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Pinkie Pie is one of the best spirit mediums in Equestria. Ponies from all over the land have called upon her at one time or another to communicate with or dispel beings from the other side. On one particular night, Pinkie and her faithful assistants are called to a lonely cottage in an otherwise deserted part of Equestria. The owner wants Pinkie to get rid of a spirit who has taken up residence there. What unfolds as a result is nothing like what they expected.

Now in her late forties, Sunset Shimmer has built herself a career as a doctor. She has devoted her life to helping others, be it by prescribing pain killers or simply bandaging a scraped knee. A part of her longs to return to Equestria, but she is mostly happy with her new life. However, one day three very familiar girls drop by her office, one of them injured. Old memories flood back as Sunset is shown an unexpected harsh reality related to her high school life.

They refer to it as "The Crossroads". A place without life, without death, without time, without light. A realm that existed before Equestria, before time itself came to be.
Every few centuries, Princess Celestia meets with this realm's sole inhabitant. A game is arranged. A wager is made. This is how it has always been and how it must always be.
But this time, this creature desires something more.

By day, Pacific Glow (also known as Molly) is a dance instructor with her own private school in Manehattan. Despite being well-known for her unorthodox teaching methods, it can't really be said that Pacific Glow is exceedingly different from any other citizen. However, by night, Pacific Glow takes on a completely different line of work. A line of work that isn't quite as straightforward as it would normally be.
This is the story of how Pacific Glow acquired this strange night job.
