It turns out the magic of friendship did not destroy the Wendigoes; it merely sealed them away until they could become more powerful. And once they did, they returned in one fell swoop, covering most of Equestria with snow and ice in a single night.

It's up to Spike to seek out seven ancient artifacts and to use them to defeat the Wendigoes once and for all, before they freeze the rest of the world.

At the turn of the millennium, when Nightmare Moon returned, most ponies would believe that our society was impossible... that it was a beautiful horror story, where money is more important than friends and harmony takes second place to profit.

They'd be right, in a sense. But in these twenty years, we have come so far, so close to a perfect Utopia; Equestria has never been better. From Sparkle Industries' augmentation monopoly to Sweet Apple Acres' dominance of food production, the civilized world is controlled by those who were once its savoirs.

Change... has never been so profitable.

350 C.E. Three hundred and fifty years after the Banishment of Nightmare Moon. Three hundred and fifty years after the founding of the Equestrian Empire in response to the new shift in power. Three hundred and fifty years during which Celestia has held absolute power over Equestria and, indeed, the entire world, albeit in the shadows.

Technology is advancing at a rapid pace. Airships held up by small solid steel balloons instead of massive canvass behemoths, once a thing of only fantasy and fiction, now commonly roam the skies. Soldiers equipped with rifles powered by either powder or magic, firing either metal bullets or beams of pure energy. Massive dreadnoughts capable of leveling entire cities.

But the world is a changing place. Tenuous alliances and non-aggression pacts in the face of war and destruction. A Reich so mindlessly infatuated with their leader that they have lost sight of everything beyond their world. A General obsessed with utter annihilation of any enemies of the Crown. An Admiral afraid to throw his ships at the enemy. A Princess afraid of unnecessary loss of life. A student controlling the vast majority of the economy.

And in the middle of it all, an airship captain just trying to make a living for her and her crew.

Scootaloo has been flightless since birth. A natural defect with her wings made them too small to ever allow her to fly for more than a few seconds at a time; however, she wants more.

So she decides to achieve her dream through technology, most of which ponykind has never even seen before.

This project has been temporarily abandoned.

In an alternate universe, Twilight Sparkle is a robot unicorn running across floating platforms for all eternity, with no memory why.

Written in about an hour with very basic knowledge of what the idea came from.

Twilight Sparkle is alone in a dark room. The fire is dead. The room is cold. Outside, the wind howls and the rustling of the leaves can be heard, but nothing else. This is the future of Equestria. This is Twilight Sparkle in a dark room.

Two hundred years after the first Changeling invasion. Since then, ponykind has made many great achievements; powered flight, firearms, cars, massive ships; but the most important, most world-changing achievement has been the power to split the atom. They put this power to two uses; the helpful power to generate electricity for the world, and the destructive power of nuclear weaponry. With the changelings invading and the royalty systematically being assasinated, Celestia has only one option left: to utterly destroy the changelings.

Earth undergoes a constant cycle of warming and cooling. Humanity, in the year 2014, is currently in the middle of a warm period that peaked about 1500. Within ten thousand years, Earth will undergo a new ice age. During that time, Humanity is likely to either escape to the underground or disappear entirely. This is the story of the San Francisco Bay in the year 141673, at the end of one of those icy periods.

There are many roads from the Southlands to Las Pegasus. One of them follows the coast rather closely, with many points where it juts out over the cliff edge. Automobiles have long replaced transportation, chariot, and even flying as preferred methods of transport. This is the story of a lone stallion driving down the coastal road at night, and coming across a certain "Hotel California."

Kerbalkind has long reached for the stars. Since they were but a young species, they dreamed of going to the stars. Thirty years ago, Jebediah Kerman was the first kerbal in space. Now, Kerbalkind has set foot on every planet in their home system, including the gas giant Jool(that mission didn't turn out too well). So, they've decided to go further. Horizon is the first interstellar spacecraft Kerbalkind has ever built, capable of housing five crew for up to six and a half years. Its mission: to orbit the third planet of the star Skolo-138. The first possibly capable planet for sustaining life discovered other than Kerbin and Laythe, it was considered imperative that a mission be sent to examine it and make contact with any life that might be there.
The five crew chosen by the Kerbal Space Program's Astronaut Complex were the most experienced Kerbalnaughts in the corps: Jebediah Kerman, first Kerbal in space and first Kerbal to land on every single planet; Bob Kerman, his long-time friend and copilot; Bill Kerman, that one guy who stayed in the orbiter and was more or less forgotten; Hanald, a professional pilot and long-time test flier for the Space Program; and Alsted, a radio operator who had helped at Mission Control since before Jebediah's historic first flight.

Now back, and better maybe better hopefully the same as ever!
