"Inscape" submitted. · 1:33pm Jul 1st, 2012

The sequel to Petriculture has been submitted to the mods for approval. I don't know when it will show up on the site, since that depends on when they actually approve it, but if their past track record is any indication, it should be up by Monday at the latest.

Nearly done with Chapter 1 · 3:21am Jul 1st, 2012

Okay, folks, I'm a few sentences away from completing the first chapter of the "Petriculture" sequel. Basically, today was way more productive than expected, because I had some of my prereaders watching and chatting with me in Google Docs---and I now understand why artists go to the trouble of livestreaming, because having an audience makes it much easier to focus on the creative process for some reason.

You know that thing I do? · 12:48am Jun 30th, 2012

Where I start updating people on the progress of my next story/chapter? Well, I'm doing it right now.

Does anyone know if there's a way to PM more than one person at once? Because copying and pasting them to each of my prereaders is really time-consuming (and I occasionally forget to include one of them).

"Wild, Sweet & Cool" is in the Pony Fiction Vault · 7:15pm Jun 22nd, 2012

You can now read a little interview with me and get a high-quality ebook download of the story here. Or, if you don't like clicking on links that aren't to other parts of FIMFiction.net, you can wait a few months before it's reposted here, I suppose.

Oh, well. You can't win 'em all. · 9:21pm Jun 21st, 2012

"So, Just What Went Wrong, Exactly?" got rejected by EQD. Apparently, only two prereaders looked at it, and their reactions were decidedly "meh." Honestly, I can't say I'm surprised, since it was written to appeal to my personal sense of humor, which can be odd at times. I might try revising and resubmitting it at some point in the future, but right now, I really want to move forward with my next story.

Spiffy new Stratochase diagram! · 4:19am Jun 20th, 2012

In preparation for Wild, Sweet & Cool's addition to the Pony Fiction Vault, RBDash47 went and cleaned up my MS Paint diagram from the Chapter 9 quote, and now it looks like it might actually be an illustration from a fictional history book.

Behold its glory!

Naturally, I've replaced the link in the actual story itself so that all may gaze upon its beauty.

Is anyone else having problems with this? · 3:02am Jun 19th, 2012

I've been trying to attach a cover image to "So, Just What Went Wrong, Anyway?" for nearly three days now, and my efforts still keep turning up the same error message. It can't be because FIMFiction's programming is off, because other new stories have been posted with graphics since then. It can't be because I'm trying to upload .png files, because I've successfully uploaded them in the past.

1-shot · 4:32am Jun 16th, 2012

Well, the one-shot's done, and it should be up shortly. Of course, it would have been up sooner if I could get my cover image to load up, but I'm going to assume that's some sort of temporary problem I can solve later (because I've already successfully uploaded .png files in the past).

Update time! · 11:44pm Jun 15th, 2012

Okay, the writer's block has mostly cleared now (thanks, prereaders!), and I think I'm going to get the one-shot done some time this weekend. If I get on a roll, it might even be done around midnight tonight, but I wouldn't bet on it.
