So:
I started my story for the most recent Writeoff last Friday, two weeks after the actual starting time, and finished it this morning, two weeks after the deadline. Which means I now have this story ready to go through the Writeoff process...and no Writeoff to submit it to.
A few weeks ago:
Two-and-a-half weeks ago:
I learned about the NonBinary Review, a quarterly anthology that's figured out a way to legally pay writers for fanfiction. Yes, it's just a penny a word, but still...
This month so far:
Has been one ding-dang thing after another, and all of those things have conspired to keep me away from chapter 3 of "Great Wall." I'm guessing the story'll have five chapters all told with each chapter being between 3,000 and 4,000 words. All numbers are, of course, approximate, however...

I'm finally getting around to:
Finishing up "Grouchisaurus Rex," a story inspired by some prompts that the Writeoff Association used before I'd ever heard of their monthly contests. The new first chapter is up now, and I'll be rewriting the rest of it into two more chapters over the next few weeks. I hope. Maybe...

Over in AugieDog Land:
I've been working on a romantic comedy, a genre I've never tried before. Present Perfect gave me some wonderful editorial advice, but the result is no one's fault but mine. And by that I mean that the story ended up being more a meditation on the concepts of romance and comedy than anything else...
