This story is a sequel to Quoth the Raven

The Raven's name is now one that makes many criminals think twice about committing any kind of heinous act in the city of Manehattan. Behind her shadowy mask, however, is a simple mare named Swirling Line (and a very cranky spirit called Nevermore) trying to live a double life.

Having taken down the leadership of Manehattan's mafia, Swirling Line now contends with a sinister cult, professional thieves, a ruthless scientist, monsters, and all manner of other cutthroats, crooks, and psychopaths.

But as each villain rears their head, so too shall the Raven.

It has been three months since the catastrophic attack on Canterlot by Sombra's army. Twilight has yet to truly recover from the event that she blames herself for. But the forces of Darkness are striking again in search of the Etna Key to free the dreaded Red-Black Beast. With time now short, Twilight and her friends must find the Etna Key before it's too late.

Swirling Line, your average pegasus mare, lives in Manehattan, working an ordinary day job until she finally reaches her dream of getting a career in the world of art. However, when finds a building on fire with a foal trapped inside, she saves the child.

At the cost of her own life.

Met by a strange spirit calling himself Nevermore, who takes the form of a raven, she makes deal that brings her back to life - though not quite as she expected. Now gifted with extraordinary powers, she will fight to defend the ponies of Manehattan, facing whatever threats may come her way.

Her name is Swirling Line. She is the Raven.

In case it wasn't obvious enough, the OC Swirling Line belongs to the artist Swirling Line. Now she can't sue me.

As a mare of logic and science, Twilight had never really entertained the idea of what could have been. She never worried about how things might have turned out. When she awakens in a dark, dystopian Equestria where ponies live in fear of their oppressors, however, she begins assaulting herself with questions. How did she get here? Why was she here? The Canterlot Academy is the most renowned and prestigious school in all of Equestria, and Twilight Sparkle is one of its newest students. While busy studying and meeting new ponies, however, a dark secret threatens the way of life of every stallion, mare, and foal. An ancient order is making its return, and seek to resurrect a great and powerful evil. Dark forces are at work, and Twilight must find a way to stop it before the worst possible thing comes to pass.
