Rainbow Dash was flying back home one night, when a cry picks up in her ears. She flies down to see Scootaloo bawling her eyes out. After hearing her say that her wings would never work, Rainbow tells her a tale about her past.

You see, she didn't always have those blue feathers and that rainbow mane.

Discord, Luna, Sombra, and Celestia are the best of friends when they were small. They played and laughed together. They even got in trouble together.

But something happened to take that all away.

When he enters Ponyvile, he is ambushed by the mane 6. A green mare comes to his rescue. She takes him in and cares for him. She teaches him everything he'll need to know to get his reputation out of the gutter. This mare has given him something he's never had before.

After returning to Ponyville to stay, Cheese gets a letter from Pinkie. He goes to visit and he asked a question he should have asked a while ago. Now, where did he get the bits for that ring?
