Their trek leads them to new and familiar faces, new sights and experiences and a great deal of self reflection for Aurelian as he attempts to move forward not only from his thousands of years of isolation but from the great highs and lows of his long and storied past. The ancient Alicorn begins to see things in a new light and finds something that was right beside him the whole time.

Sunset and Hunter are back home with their friends. Now officially a couple, Hunter begins to adapt and settle into a more civilian life as he works to improve his social standing in the city and become a full time part of Sunset's world. Canterlot's magical troubles never cease though, as a bizarre bank robbery leads the pair and their friends against a duo that represent a combined threat of both Equestrian and human world magic. Hunter may be off the clock, but that won't stop him from protecting Sunset, his friends and his new home from the enemy.

Eventide, a loyal and dedicated member of the night guard, is discovered in a bizarre magical coma. Princess Luna uses her magic to enter his unconscious mind in order to find out what happened and rescue the stallion from his unnatural slumber. Once inside, she finds herself in a surreal homestead where she has been cast as Eventide's wife.

Ponyville is filled with ponies who know their place and have clear and bright futures, but that is not true for all. Zephyr Breeze, Marble Pie and Snips are all ponies whose lives are far from what they wished they were; filed with unsatisfied desires and lingering worries. They remain in the background of Equestrian life until a mysterious Unicorn offers them the ability to become what they could never be on their own and sets them loose to confront all the pain, anger and fear that secretly surrounds their hearts. Everything inside them comes boiling to the surface as they use their newfound power to make sure that the world finally sees them.

Tirek, Chrysalis and Cozy Glow are processing their chance encounter with Aurelian very differently. At a temporary impasse, the three part ways to pursue different paths and find truth, reflection, comfort and strength where they did not expect. In the midst of their travels, a long sleeping power that no creature can control is brought back to the world; leaving grand revelations for modern Equestria in its wake.

Once again imprisoned within Tartarus; Tirek Chrysalis and Cozy Glow manage to free themselves from their cages. Seeking an alternative exit, they explore the deeper parts of Tartarus and cross paths with an ancient creature who has sat silent within the prison for countless years. Sensing the villains' intent to escape, the long lived prisoner seeks to offer his words to them in hope of seeing them free from more than just their physical confines.
