It's been months since the invasion of Canterlot. Chrysalis has been overthrown. The changelings are free from her rule. But when Celestia and Luna decree that they favor the integration of their species, many changelings learn the true nature of some ponies, as ponies learn the true nature of their own kind.

A story about standing up for yourself as much as anyone else. A tale of finding strength within yourself and using it to overcome adversity. A series of events that lead to friendship, and sometimes love, when you fight for a cause you believe in.

I can't do it again. I can't put on a smile, walk over there and say it. Happy Father's Day? No. No! Am I just supposed to pretend the last 10 years didn't happen. Am I expected to make the day happy for him. Why? When he's done nothing for me. Where was he on my birthdays? Where was he when I graduated high-school? Where was he when I was being bullied?
I say this to myself, but I somehow still find myself outside his door.

Having their cutie marks switched around was somewhat scarring for the friends. However, the incident soon lost it's traumatic air once they threw themselves into their true work. But every once in a while: Rarity can't help look at the sky and appreciate the clouds. Applejack can't help but admire the dresses in Rarity's shop. Rainbow Dash feels the need to assist Fluttershy in her usual chores. Pinkie's learned to be a bit more serious and practical, and channels her extra energy into helping AJ on her farm. While, Fluttershy can't help but laugh just a little bit harder at Pinkies' jokes.

The bonds you form with others, sometimes you choose and want them. Sometimes you don't.
Bonds we were forced into, having no control over who we met or who we must interact with.
Bonds we've forged over time, putting in sweat, blood, and tears.
Bonds we've had all our life, ones that have influenced our decisions drastically.
Bonds we don't know about, and therefore don't act upon, until destiny rears its head.
The bonds you form with others can give you the power to do great things. They can protect you and the ones you care about. They can be the things that pull you from the darkness.
They can also endanger you. Used and manipulated to fit others' desires.

It's been almost a year since the Elements of Harmony saved Equestria from Tirek. Their fame spread as tales of their heroism reached the farthest corners of the land. Stories of Nightmare Moon's fury. Discord's revival, reformation, treachery, and repent. Sombra's tyranny. And Tirek's hunger for power.

The six bearers have been through much since then. But when evil once again threatens the land. They find themselves without their elements, and very limited knowledge of their rainbow powers. This time they'll need more than simply the Magic of Friendship to stop it. But who exactly can step up to the plate?

Celestia has discovered ancient texts that tell of a second set of Elements. Elements with the power necessary to protect Equestria. At least, she hopes so.
