One of my old stories has been revised · 2:17am Dec 31st, 2015
Clarity from Shadow, my little one-shot about Twilight Sparkle sharing her mind with King Sombra's consciousness, has had an editing pass and is hopefully improved from what it was.

So I wake up this morning. Bring up fimfiction, see I have a couple more favorites on a popular story of mine. I check out the numbers and see this.
Number 1 on the whole site with a voting record of 562/3. Huh.
Seeing how it had five downvotes yesterday, someone (or two) probably got themselves banned and their story votes wiped out rather than my attracting new readers to my work. But you know what?
Another season in the books, and again, another season with its share of controversy in the brony community.
There’s certainly a lot of ground to cover--from the Cutie Mark Crusaders, to Diamond Tiara, political bickering about Equality Town and Starlight’s philosophy, debates about cutie marks and the concept of destiny, Luna and the Tantabus, Starlight’s backstory--but frankly, all those mean just about nothing to me now.
Just as we humans gather around our pies tomorrow (and cookies and candy for pretty much the next month), the kitchens of Canterlot Castle produce a grand cake for Hearth's Warming Eve every single year. And every single year, a chunk goes is stolen the night before. For a young Twilight Sparkle, this mystery is just begging to be solved, regardless of what superstitions have grown around this phenomena.
Glimpsing the Future, the sequel a great many people have asked for over the past year or so, is now available for your reading pleasure.
Blast from the past, huh?
All I really want is something beautiful to say.
Ain’t that the truth? Why else do we talk so much?
Seriously, try to remember every word you said today. Or wrote. Or heard. Or read, including these. Can you do it? I doubt it.
Yet all those words were conveyed. They all held some kind of meaning, right? Why else would you say something?
All I really want is something beautiful to say.
Welcome to the sequel no one asked for!
I’ve got three more stories for all of you, three more coin flips to make, and three more reviews to write. If the coin comes up heads, that story gets a positive review, and I highlight the things I enjoyed. Tails, and I go negative. After all, just because something is perfect doesn’t mean it can’t be improved.
And away we go!*
So, since I’m posting this, I assume my changeling story has been posted and marked complete. I started writing this thing when Noble Thought and I finished editing Chapter 10 together. Retrospectives are supposed to be posted after the story, so I figured keeping a... journal? Diary? Something about this story could serve that purpose.
So after a brief mention of this idea in a Skype chat last night, I figured I might as well give this reviewing thing a shot. There’s just one little wrinkle, but it’s rather simple to understand.
After I read a story, I flip a coin. Heads, I write a positive review. Tails, I write a negative one.
Let’s see how convincing I can be…*
