Everyone thought King Sombra was dead. Or lost. Or lost and headed towards death. But for a pony with magic, it's not too hard just to teleport someplace else, out of the terrible snow and somewhere where light shines. Somehow King Sombra ends up teleporting to Ponyville, wanting to escape from his horrific past.
It turns out, the only way to get away from his bloodied path is through music - the last thing anypony was expecting.

Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle had been a stable couple from the start.

But sometimes publicity becomes too much to bear - it hardly seems right for Twilight to blame her true love, but what else is there to do?

It takes four years to realize pouting about isn't going to fix anything.

It's hard to imagine it, but ponies do die. Some young, some old. Some strong, some simply foolish. It matters not who they are, but eventually all ponies are destined to dance in the stars.

It's a shame so very little ponies actually know of this.

And the ones that dance alongside the stars aren't the kind to share.
