Stoutheart. He's not from another dimension, nor does he have special powers. He's just your run of the mill Wondercolt who harbors a strong fascination with naval battles, shipwrecks and, strangely, the exploits of a long forgotten pulp vigilante known as "The Wraith". He also harbors something else: romantic feelings for a girl in one of his classes. Feelings that have so far been stymied by fear and self-doubt.

In a few days, Halloween will descend on Canterlot and that means the annual CHS Halloween dance. Stoutheart plans to be there as his literary hero and he's certain Flitter will be there too. Will the teen seize the opportunity and finally muster up the courage to confess those feelings his fellow Wondercolt?
