Rain… It was something that Twilight Sparkle loved ever since she was a filly. From the day she was born, the seemingly simple weather condition would draw her gaze whenever it graced her with it’s presence. In her early foalhood years, the weather condition would draw her with the elegant sounds of raindrops colliding with the roof and windows of her old home. During her time as a teenager, it captured her through the amount of science and magic that was involved in it's creation. As a full grown mare, the rain kept her interest through it's call to come out and play outside in the atmosphere that it provided.

No matter the stage in her life, Twilight has loved the rain. She didn't fully understand why she did, but she really didn't care to question why. All she knew was that the rain felt like it was a close friend, and that was enough for her.

This is a simple story derived from a writing challenge that I decided to do, in order to get back into writing. The challenge was randomly generated from an on-line writing challenge creator, and it had the stipulations that there be no dialogue present in the story. In addition, the story also had to feature weather in some sort as it's main point.

So after about a week of on and off writing, this fluffy bit was created.

For Twilight everything was going as well as it possibly could be. She finally had gotten used to all of the changes that came from her alicorn transformation, and her life was the way that she liked it. Structured, organized and full of friends that made everyday something to look forward too.

Little did she know that all of that was going to be turned on it's head, with one simple action from a painfully bored cyan coloured pegasus. For months she had kept a secret hidden away from her, and now thanks to dumb luck, it seemed that her secret was going to be in the hooves of the one that she kept from so for so long. At first she was worried about what would happen once Rainbow found out. What would Rainbow think once she found out? Would her worst fears of their good friendship breaking apart at the seems come true?

Twilight's fears however seemed that all for naught, as none of them were even close to coming true. In fact the one thing that Twilight never expected was the one thing that came true. That one event quickly cascaded into a series that eventually led to the development of the happiest relationship that she had ever had. Sure it was weird on how everything had happened, but as she looked back, she wouldn't have it any other way.

This is a small story that I wanted to do for some time, but never really had the ambition to do it. So after a couple of months, and some extensive procrastination... It's finally here! This is my take on what could possibly happen if the roles that Twilight and Rainbow typically have in TwiDash stories were reversed. What would happen if Rainbow was the obvious one, instead of Twilight?

Of course I have to give credit where credit is due. Thanks to Kodeake, jlm123hi, and Hardc0r3Br0n3 for helping me with editing, idea bouncing, and pretty much everything relating to the development of the story. Thanks also goes to a good MTG friend of mine for inspiring me to put this up as part of the National Novel Writing Month.

Small warning for material ahead: This story will contain scenes with fictional drugs, and maybe some rather depressing material down the line. Figured that I would let people know before they start to read, as there are some that do not want to read that material.

How long has it been? Months? Years? Lord knows that I have started to lose track of the days ever since that fateful night. .. Why could I have been there for her? All of those times that she asked me to come to her show, and I just brushed her off like some unimportant rodent, never even giving a thought to how my careless actions were effecting her. I never took time to be with her... To think I had finally worked up the nerve to tell her how I felt, only to have my stupid decisions blow up in my face. This is where my bad choices got me in the end. Sitting here in this gutter, thinking about what I could have done differently. Holding the pieces of by broken heart in my shaking hooves.

This story will be taking place a couple of years after the events of "I Am Octavia" and will be mostly told from the perspective of Vinyl with some third person scenes from Octavia's perspective. After Octavia severed her ties with Vinyl on the fateful night, both were crushed. For Octavia, she was able to get back on her hooves after a couple of weeks, devoting herself more and more to her music until finally everything returned back to an acceptable norm. However for Vinyl the hardship had impacted her much more. Secretly she had cared about Octavia much more then the friendship that they had, but she was always worried to risk the current relationship that they had.

It has been weeks since the death of Twilight Sparkle, and everything seems to be going downhill ever since that day. Twilight's death hit everypony hard, but for Rainbow it was the worst. She had always promised that she would be there for Twilight, but now that Twilight is gone, the days don't seem to have the same light that they once had.

But does a pony's life truly end with death? This is not the case with Twilight as she finds herself trapped in between the mortal plane, and the peaceful afterlife that awaits for her in Atheros. It is here where Death gives Twilight the choice, either stay in the middle and watch over her friends, or to fully pass on to the paradise that she deserves. However what will happen when Twilight chooses neither of the options, and decides to forge her own fate?

Yet another bus commute story by me :). In fact as a test experiment I have decided to try to write based on my mood given the day. So here is the story that I will be writing while I am a little depressed or sad about the world (It does happen a little more then I like, even for an optimist like myself). So I hope you enjoy this story, as I have put a fair amount of work to try branch out from the fluffy romance and go with something a little different. The base idea comes from a good non-brony friend of mine that I have known since high school, and I asked if I could write about it... So here is what you get as a result.

Some gifts are insignificant, only to be given to someone, then to be re-gifted once again. However some gifts are extremely important. They might not be expensive, no flashy by any means, but they are the aspects of our lives that mean the most.

Rainbow has tried for what seems like ages now trying to tell Twilight about her true feelings for her. All of her other friends have already noticed, but the mare of her dreams still remains oblivious to her feelings. However one day, Rainbow finally decides to tell Twilight how she feels, and she stumbles upon the perfect present to help sum up her feelings should she not be able to tell Twilight directly. Will Twilight accept the gift? Or will she turn it down? Either way there will be a decision made, and it will change the two forever.

So this is a small thing that I decided to do to help relieve my writer's block on When A Door Closes, so hopefully guys enjoy this one as much as When A Door Closes. That still amazes me that it was recieved so well but hey I am not going to complain that much.

This was mostly written on my 1 hour commute to work, as the bus system here in Ottawa can be absolutely terrible if you need to get anywhere. Although it is a huge pain in the ass trying to write 2000 or so words on a small phone. Not the nicest piece of typing equipment.

And yes I know the description is awful. I'm terrible at them...

Applejack and Rainbow have been secretly dating behind their friends' backs for a couple of months. However over the course of time Rainbow has found the farmer constantly making excuses to avoid her, and it seems that she is too busy for anything. It's a peaceful day, Rainbow is just taking it easy, doing her job just like everypony else, when she gets word that Applejack wants to see her right away. Unfortunately the news is terrible... It turns out that the mare of Rainbow's dreams had been lying to her all along...

Everything seems like it is spiralling out of control for the poor peagsus, and she seeks refuge in the one friend that she knows that will help her in time of need. Will Rainbow be able to piece back the parts of her broken heart? Will the now destroyed friendship between Rainbow and Applejack, be able to go back to normal after what happens? Does Applejack deserve to be forgiven for what choices she has made?

They say when one door closes, that another one opens... But why must some doors cause so much pain and suffering when they close?
