The old Empire, said to be the origin of all equine species and sealed behind a barrier of storms and weather on the old continent since even before Equestria was founded. After Sailors Report the passage to be open again Princess Celestia sends her newest Equal, Twilight sparkle to investigate and hopefully rebuild the Connection to the ponies past.
The old continent however holds many dangers, the worst of which is doing its best to prevent that.
