Vinyl Scratch reminisces about her University days where she spent more time with her friends Lyra, Octavia and Bon Bon. Now alone, she thinks about what was and what could have been. She follows the trail of memories and wishes she could alter them as she relives the events of her college years and tries to make sense of how things have changed.

She takes comfort in the memories of kind loyalty from her best friend Lyra Heartstrings, Lyra's adorable obsession with criminal justice major Bon Bon, and her first meetings with the love of her life, Octavia Melody...

Octavia Melody is an expert at hiding her fear, but in the world of dreams, her subconscious takes hold and she is forced to confront the growing number of nightmares hidden within her. As she faces her anxieties one-by-one, she encounters terrified dream ponies, stalking black-robed figures and an ever-elusive Vinyl Scratch narrowly evading the cellist. Octavia must realize the truth about her terror or her fear may ruin more than her sleep...

This is the darkest of the current four surreal dream tales I've written, but the payoff is totally different from the related stories. I recommend Octavia's story for fans of Silent Hill. The other three are located below:

Humans have been on Mars for a while, but never before have they seen a unicorn. In the city of Syria Planum Alpha, Rarity is found sealing off an entire city block with a protective shield while the human leader, Jericho, realizes that a team of cops and criminals are organizing outside the perimeter and preparing an assault on Red District 3. Together, the humans and unicorn will have to find a way to stand up and fight. Or perish.

This is an extension of my story "Do Pegasi Dream of Flying Sheep?" This details the events Rarity undergoes during the time Rainbow Dash is searching the city of Syria Planum Alpha. You do not need to read Rainbow Dash's story to understand this because they are both their own self-contained stories which happen to occur in the same world.

A human is dying. His mind grasps for a realm to survive in and finds help from the pony Roseluck. Together, they must find a way to the House of Dust where the keepers of the dead roam amongst the fallen. He must plead his case in hopes of regaining life in the face of those who only see death.

The writing style and themes of this story were inspired by The Epic of Gilgamesh, but with a modern twist.

Other pony characters will be introduced later in the story and I will add their tags as they appear in later chapters. The cover art for this already hints at one of them...

Twilight Sparkle finds herself amidst a grand adventure in a realm of slumber. Unfortunately, her progress is being tracked by an unknown foe. With the help of a unlikely ally and a shocked pony, she makes her way through her own mind and beyond.

This is a surrealist work in the same dream-like style of my story "Rarity's Dream: And then the door opened..."

There is no easy way to describe this short work of surrealist prose. Rarity has a dream and this is the written form of her journey. The images meld and fuse as the unicorn attempts to understand the secrets hidden in all of the symbols washing up on the shores of her mind.

The point is not to understand the writing, but to move with it and enjoy the flow of images and words.

A fellow pony notices that Princess Luna may have a serious problem: there is a small, sentient race inside her mane and they have been living there for quite some time. Luna must decide what to do about this.

Three humans meet Princess Celestia and Luna through breaks in their dreams as they interact with the ponies during moments of sadness, anger and anxiety. The moments culminate into a tense realization by a human living today.
