Princess Luna has been freed from the influence of the Nightmare thanks to the Elements of Harmony, and she is now on her way to reintegrate with the society. However, when she realizes the weight of crimes she has committed as Nightmare Moon, she decides to create an equally nightmarish servant to ensure she will not fail her subjects ever again.

After several years spent amongst the dragons, Spike returns to Canterlot to take an entry exam at Princess Celestia's School for Gifted Individuals. His old friend is there to witness it, and she is not too happy with what she sees.

After a crushing defeat suffered from her ungrateful citizens, Starlight Glimmer continues her crusade of bringing Harmony to Equestria. To spread her philosophy further, she sets up a pawn shop in downtown Manehattan where everypony can exchange their cutie mark for a handful of bits. Everypony needs money, but those who don't pay the loan back in time have to say farewell to their talent, becoming yet another follower of equality Starlight dreams about.

The best part? It's all legal. It's not like anypony reads terms and conditions, ever.
