I'm a fantasy enthusiast who loves to write, and I'm aiming to be a professional fantasy writer eventually. I love to help out other authors when I can. Feel free to PM me or drop by and say 'hi'.

Very Flattering · 5:06am Oct 9th, 2014

Keepers, Must Reads, Awesome!, Amusing Stories, Twilight's Choice, Epic, Stuff I Would Recommend, Classics, Exceptional.

The new library names are truly flattering. It inspires me to get back into the groove of writing after suffering through a week with a nasty head-cold. I really like this site update so far. What do you folk think?

How Immersive To Be · 2:21am Sep 23rd, 2014

The following writing is what I had prepared for the panel I was a part of at BronyCon. At the time of writing this, I was planning to memorize it and recite bits of it for the panel, however I quickly realized that doing so would kind of go against the general atmosphere of our panel. So I ended up focusing on a point or two during the panel and emphasizing them as concisely as I could. I never really got around to touching down on all the points I wanted to during the panel, so I figured

Dramatic Reading of 'Shattered' · 8:41pm Sep 17th, 2014

So, after finishing off the final edits to chapter 22 of AHoC and sending them to my editor, I finally got around to recording this. This recording is of myself performing a dramatic reading of my story Shattered. I don't consider myself that great at public speaking and the like (though it's something I'm aiming to get better at). The audio turned out far better than I had any reason to suspect it would, what with construction happening right next door. I don't often read aloud for an

The Icebucket Challenge / AHoC Update · 5:17am Sep 8th, 2014

What's this? No youtube link to a video of me being drenched? Well, sorry that I don't have the recording equipment. So I thought for a while on how I could still do the challenge, and the answer is pretty simple, and I think worthwhile, perhaps even more so than getting drenched in water. (Not that I think it's a bad thing to do the challenge mind you, not at all.)

The BronyCon Panel · 6:34am Aug 19th, 2014

Hmm... 100th blog post. That's neat. I was going to do a dramatic reading of one of my stories, probably Shattered, for this particular event. However, with all the noise pollution from nearby construction, I have found no time to do so as of yet (though I hope to soon). So, I figure that I might as well share a video that has me in it. For those of you who couldn't make it to BronyCon and were curious about the adventure writing panel that I was a part of, here's a video, courtesy of

BronyCon – What a Journey · 4:52pm Aug 5th, 2014

So I went down to Baltimore over the weekend (I'm typing this in my hostel at the moment in fact), and I went to my first ever convention, BronyCon 2014. I knew that when heading out, what I would experience would be something that I wouldn't able to prepare for. So I decided to head down there after convincing a good friend of mine to join me, and we went to the Con. This friend of mine is someone who I've known as a good friend for twenty years now, and he has called himself a Part-time

Last Blog Before the Con · 7:46pm Jul 29th, 2014

Preparing to go to BronyCon has left me sort of nervoucited. It's why I couldn't focus on writing more AHoC for the last two weeks. However, one night I did manage to channel my nervous energy into something somewhat productive. Take a look at this. It's my most recent side-story thing to SoC. Moments in Chaos is a compilation of poetry that I am going to be slowly crafting on the side of writing AHoC. It's kind of a

Less Than Two Weeks · 10:35pm Jul 20th, 2014

With BronyCon only 12 days away, I'm getting pretty excited. It's my first con, and I'm sure it'll be quite the experience. As I have mentioned a couple times before, I'm bringing a few signed paperback copies of Scion of Chaos to give away to whoever wants one. Drop by and talk to me. I'll also be at a panel on August 3rd, I'm on The World Beyond Ponyville: How to Write an Adventure panel at 11:15 AM, so it would be cool if you swung by for it. We are also aiming to do an after-panel

When Inspiration Strikes · 9:58am Jul 17th, 2014

It has been a while since this happened. You know that moment when you're aiming to go to sleep, but then an idea is playing around in your head and it seems like something you just want to write? Well, that happened to me just before 2:00 AM, and I couldn't shake the feeling after about an hour or so. Giving in to the feeling, I figured I'd grab my laptop and get the small idea out of my head. Now, I'm not saying that my work is all that great, but rather that I was inspired by a couple other

Writing Experiment Finished · 5:16am Jul 13th, 2014

Thank you to everyone who came down to hang out with me as I wrote. I know not too much got written (just under 350 words an hour), but we had a blast. I hope that those who came in to watch got to understand that the finished product is really far from its conception, yet at its core, it holds the spirit and the direction of the story. I hope you enjoyed this snippet of my craft and perhaps gleaned an understanding of why it is that I enjoy writing as much as I do.
