June 21st, YOH 1500: When Fluttershy accepted the commission to provide birdsong for Princess Celestia at the Ponyville Equestriad Summer Sun Celebration, she thought she was being pretty brave. Little did she know that soon she would be treading the Everfree Forest in endless night, searching for the lost Elements of Harmony, contending against NIghtmare Moon!

She should have been terrified. And she was frightened. But why did it feel as if she was fulfilling her destiny?

April, YOH 1505 (almost 5 years after Luna's Return): Twilight Sparkle and her Companions defeated Starlight Glimmer at Our Town, and return to Ponyville. But though they are victorious, they bear battle-scars on their souls -- and they know that the mad mage is still out there, doubtless lusting for revenge. Sometimes, mere victory is not enough.

Takes place between S501-02 The Cutie Map and S5E03 "Castle, Sweet Castle."

Early Morning, May 4th, 1507 (7 years after Luna's Return)

It is the morning after the marriage of Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich, and Pinkie decides to give Cheese a very special present -- something only she could give him.

But during her long alienation from other Ponies, she has drifted toward Lone-Madness. Is the Magic of Friendship enough to save her from those she imagined her friends? This is a side story to Twelfth Equestriad Interview. The first couple of scenes are adapted from part of its Chapter 4: "Second Break," from which it continues and on which it expands.

Snailsquirm Carrot has just turned sixteen, and his few-months-older best friend Snipsy Snap Fields decides to help him celebrate what he regards as his newfound stallionhood by doing something perhaps a bit less cautious and well-considered than their usual wont. What could possibly go wrong?

Y.O.H. 1515

As the Great Changeling War approaches its end, and the High Queen Nightmare Hunger is reduced to an ever-shrinking territory and number of Hives, the disgraced Theoretical Infiltrator Compound, already demoted to Logistical Aide, is no longer needed. The resource flow between Hives has ceased, and all she is now is a warm body noling particularly likes.

She is reassigned to to Hive Hunger's Provisional Hive Defense Swarm, a last-ditch unit of Warrior cadets and confused Workers having weapons shoved into their claws and being flung in the path of the Equestrian advance. She has read enough of the reports to know what this means.

Her life is over.

But now, after three long lonely years, among members of a Caste she would normally consider far beneath her, can the impossible happen? On the brink of her death, can Compound rediscover the sense of belonging that alone gives meaning to the life of a Changeling?

Can a pariah finally find friends?

And, even if they accept her, does she fear what she might learn about herself?
