"I have experienced a change. For the first time in many years, I find myself uncertain of what step to take next. I am not one to be so perturbed, but here I stand- as unsure and inexperienced as a young girl.

It's not your fault she's also unbelievably, irrefutably, incomparably gorgeous.

"Wait wait wait. Let me get this straight. The first time you meet this girl she nearly gets you put in prison. The second time you meet you both nearly kill each other. Did I get that right?"
"Pretty much, yeah."
"So you like a girl that almost ruined your life. Are you an idiot?"
"Don't think so."
"Then how the heck did you end up dating this girl, much less even liking her?!"
"Hmm... how about I start from the beginning?"

Things should be fine, shouldn't they? Twilight made right her broken relationships with her old friends, made peace with Moondancer and saw to her wellbeing in the future. Her trip to Canterlot had been difficult, but things had gone rather well, all things considered.
So why is Twilight still so upset? Maybe a walk will help clear things up.

Pinkie Pie likes to make ponies laugh. It's what she does. Her goal is always to make ponies as happy as they can possibly be. So when she hears Fluttershy had a bad day yesterday, she immediately makes it her goal to cheer her good friend up and make her smile.
But maybe not with parties and games this time.

Pinkie Pie is the master of random shenanigans and hilarity. Her oddity and overbubbly personality make her a Ponyville one-of-a-kind. She loves games, no matter the time or the place. If it weren't for her bright love for everyone, Ponyville would not have its vibrant luster. So one day, in typical Pinkie Pie fashion, Pinkie Pie visits Twilight with a simple riddle.
But there's a problem. Twilight can't solve it. In awe of the remarkable event, Pinkie Pie refuses to tell her the answer, or even give it a hint.
That proves to be a bad idea.
