After the terrible defeat at Canterlot, the changelings have been scattered all across Equestria. And with Chrysalis dead, they are disorganized and lost. Ceras is one such changeling. She had been on the edge of Canterlot when Shining Armour unleashed his spell, so she hadn't been thrown too far. The only problem is that she is badly injured, has no clue where she is, and is still being hunted by the royal guard. But she can survive if she can find somepony to provide love for her. But who? Who would love a changeling. One lavender unicorn may provide her with that answer, provided they don't end up killing each other first.

Twilight and Celestia have been at odds for a few years now, but they have always just stepped out of each others way. But the arrival of a new alicorn may ignite the final spark needed to start war between the two factions and tear all of Equestria apart in the process. One thing is certain though. Lives will be changed, bonds will be tested, and somepony won't be walking away.
