A young mare desperate to re-unite with her family, a weather-pony haunted by her past, and a magician breaking new ground in long distance communication, three mares dreaming of a better tomorrow. In the vast empty wastes of space wanders the last creation of a dead race searching for a home it can never find, while an ancient menace watches from the galactic core, wary for any threat to its power. All are unaware of the cascade of disasters they will bring. It will be by their choices that ponykind will survive, or perish.

These are the days before The Fall.

When I was young, I woke up in the Everfree. I couldn't remember my name or where I came from before waking in that cursed forest. All I could remember was hunger and the need to hunt. Yet I travelled with a filly I should have turned into a snack. The only thing that held me back was that she held a clue to my missing past.

Danger surrounded us in that evil place; a pack of wooden wolves, an angry dragon, little blue flowers with a twisted sense of humour, and something else even more terrible than the rest combined. But the biggest threat of all lay hidden in my past. After all, what is worse, the threat you see coming, or the one that you trusted?

Prophecies; Twilight Sparkle has come to hate them with a passion. Caught unawares by an ancient prophecy, Twilight awakens on a strange land surrounded by creatures she's never heard about before. Worse, she is no longer in her own body, and none of her magic works. Having to learn a new form of magic, Twilight resolves to do whatever it takes to return home, and to her own body.

She'll just have to avoid assassins, creatures out of nightmares and from Tartarus itself, while dealing with a group of violent companions, if she is to have any hope of succeeding.

Meanwhile, Equestria is threatened by a form of evil it's not prepared to confront. Rarity is haunted by the creature, and if it should get its claws on her no pony, not even Celestia herself, may be able to save her, or Equestria.

Two worlds touched by the hubris and arrogance of a dead civilization will tremble. The Sins of the Ancients have, and will again, lead to destruction, and perhaps, salvation.
