A bit of silliness that I wrote in about four hours, trying to get rid of a writers block.

Starswirl the Bearded, his faithful student Celestia and her little sister Luna, find themselves battling the frigid cold, the cursed wailing of the Windigos everywhere around them. It is up to Starswirl the Bearded to see the two winged unicorns safely to the lands of the north.

But the windigos are unrelenting in their chase of Starswirl and his charges. To protect them, he is forced to keep using an item of incredible power… one that is slowly corrupting his mind.

A slightly different take on the Starswirl/Discord idea.

Swansong, an exiled changeling, is living in Equestria; surviving by any means she can. There’s a reason it’s considered Equestria’s second oldest profession. Swansong ekes out a living as best she can, until she finds herself in an impossible situation; she has laid an egg, a privilege normally restricted to the Queen’s brood.

As the the little hatchling grows, Swansong knows something is wrong. The child eats regular pony food, and she feels the love emanating from it. Her fellow changelings would either steal the child as a resource, to be fed on until she died; or they would kill her as an abomination.

She knows this, because being around the child makes her hungry herself.

On the eve of Twilight Sparkles wedding, Princess Celestia has some things to get off her chest. So she pens one last letter to her faithful student.

Pinkie Pie is alone in a place she does not want to be. She wants to go home. She wants everything to return to normal. Pinkie Pie has to deal with the reality of a tragedy she does not want to face. Her friends, and the staff of the Psychiatric Ward of Ponyville hospital do their best to support her through this time.

Written well before Season 4 started, so expect some incongruities.
