The Fragmented State of Spoilers in the Brony Fandom · 5:01am May 28th, 2018

TL;DR: Me complaining about spoilers and how it makes discussion harder

A few months back, I put up a poll on Reddit asking what people’s spoiler policies were when it came to the huge leak that had gone down.

Fever Dreams · 3:00am May 17th, 2018

Something strange happened after I married my wife: I can dream now.

I'm really not a fan. Dreams seem to be a random smattering of unpleasant material mashed up in uncomfortable ways. It takes away the void that was my sleep before and replaces it with bizarre hallucinations the likes of which I find barely comprehensible. It just feels mysterious, y'know? I get married and now sleep next to the wife of my dreams... and she [gifts||curses] me with the ability to dream.

(Not) Going to Everfree Northwest 2018! · 5:06am Apr 24th, 2018

I've been sick with a stomach flu for a week, and the doctor says I'll have it for another week. It's apparently super contagious, so I'm skipping this year's Everfree Northwest :pinkiesick:
EDIT: According to the doctor, I have mono.

The con staff have thankfully given my wife and I deferred passes until next year. Thank goodness.

So sorry I won't be seeing you all.

How I Met My Wife · 5:13pm Feb 10th, 2018

This is some creative nonfiction that I’ll probably freak out about a few days from now and delete off the internet. That and for such a light-hearted sounding topic, it’s… umm… pretty dark. Trigger Warning suicide and all that.

Personal Blog: 2017 Review · 5:28pm Dec 31st, 2017

Someday I'll have a better place to put deeply personal thoughts in a public place other than FimFiction. But I honestly can't imagine where. There's just something about freely posting my feelings on a subsection of the internet devoted to fanfiction for a cartoon show for little girls. Any person that would make an account on such a strange place must be a pretty good person.

Well anyway, have a bunch of personal random thoughts below the break.

Poll: What is your spoiler policy to the leaked content? · 3:29pm Dec 17th, 2017

The login credentials to DHX's work server was hacked. Meaning everything the show staff was working on for the next several years of MLP is now being rifled through and distributed.

The MLP fandom has never had such an extensive leak like this before. But spoiler policies have never been harsher, meaning it may be possible to get through this unscathed.

Knowing all that, what is your spoiler policy towards this leak?

Jumbled Thoughts on: Turtles All the Way Down · 4:42am Oct 12th, 2017

So I finished reading John Green’s new novel: Turtles All the Way Down. And it is now my personal book of the year for 2017 and my new favorite John Green novel. Though I’m incredibly biased as the book is essentially about anxiety and mental illness, of which I am terrifyingly familiar with.

Understanding your Feedback Personality type · 4:01am Aug 30th, 2017

I recently finished rereading the book: Thanks for the Feedback. I highly recommend it as it's chock full of good life advice about how to actually give and receive feedback.

But what really struck me about the book was one chapter that described what I'm going to call "Feedback personality types." These are just the way in general in which we respond to getting feedback from others.

Thoughts on Star Trek: The Original Series · 5:01am Aug 5th, 2017

TL;DR: I finished watching all of Star Trek: The Original 60's Series. The 90's series is better. But the 60's one has probably left the bigger cultural impact. And I offend every Trekkie I know with uncultured opinions.
