Snowed In!!!! · 12:17am Jan 21st, 2012

I write this from a coffee-house in Olympia, where we are in a frozen nightmare. State disaster. No power, no Internet; only this afternoon could we even leave our driveway. Obviously, story updates for Code Majeste will be delayed for a while. We currently are keeping warm with a kerosine heater and blankets.

Sorry, everyone. I know you are waiting, but I honestly cannot help it. Please forgive my interruption of the story, especially at such a cliffhanger.

Precocious Readers and The End Of Stories · 10:29pm Jan 15th, 2012

I was working on Code Majeste and suffered a minor crisis when, reading the comments - such a tasty treat, I adore the feedback between author and audience - I realized that some of my readers had already essentially guessed the ending to my story.

Oh woe! What was I to do? My head was in a spin, my heart confused, was I that obvious? Was I such a poor author that my schemes were instantly apparent? Would everything be ruined because of this?

Code Majeste · 1:36pm Jan 10th, 2012

I have begun a new story; I think it is a Conversion Bureau topic no other writer has dared. I dare.

It now waits for review, it should be available soon I hope.

It is The Conversion Bureau: Code Majeste.

I hope you will like it. I do not know how long it will run, but I do know it will be many chapters.

Here is the link, taken directly from the story page itself.

I'm back: a quick note to those who follow my stuff. · 11:25pm Dec 30th, 2011

A week ago, I and one of my spouses got severe food poisoning from a local Taco Time. I am gradually recovering on my own, but my spouse ended up with a very rare condition called Acute Esophageal Necrosis. Basically the inner esophagus dies and gets puked and shat out. It is beyond nightmare horrible. It is often fatal.

Special Guest Epilogue for The Taste Of Grass · 12:55am Dec 21st, 2011

The writer that inspired me to try my hand at doing my little stories of Equestria has graced me with a marvelous gift.

Midnight Shadow wrote the most marvelous, perfect epilogue for The Taste Of Grass. I consider it Canon.

I have added it as Chapter 31, with, of course, all credit to the amazingly talented Midnight Shadow (whose works you should be reading RIGHT NOW!)

The Taste Of Grass, COMPLETED. · 7:20am Dec 20th, 2011

Finally, it's done. Chapter thirty, the final chapter of The Taste Of Grass.

111,179 words. I wrote a fair-sized book.

I am exhausted, but happy; I would like to think I made a decent account of myself with this work. I hope so, anyway.

I laughed too much at Windfeather's Lovecraftian end. Hee! Love and harmony as the ultimate Elder God horror. Yay!

Episode 9, a perfect episode. · 3:51am Dec 9th, 2011

I do not take back anything I said about episode 8; but I have to say that episode 9 of season 2 was just... perfect. Sweet and Elite was pitch perfect, excellent, and precisely what MLP:FIM should be - character driven and focused, with a self-consistent world of a unique and special flavor.

It's all in the writing, of course. It's always the writing.

On the Second Season, and How Episode 8 Broke My Heart · 12:53pm Nov 27th, 2011

Do you remember Equestria?

I do.

Equestria was a medieval world with magic, populated by sapient ponies. It was a Dungeons and Dragons world divided into a safe realm under magical protection, bordering a forest of ancient, mythical monsters. It had a unique and mostly self-consistent technology based on horsepower and some magic. The few exceptions were introduced by writers that didn't quite get the concept as created by Lauren Faust.

The Taste Of Grass · 1:15pm Nov 16th, 2011

I kind of fell in love with some of my characters from 27 Ounces -Caprice, Alexi, Buttermilk, and Pumpkin.

So, I've begun my newest story to follow their new lives in Equestria, and through them, what I imagine the typical newfoal would experience emigrating to that magical land.

I desperately hope you like it.
