The virus sucks, a lot of stuff is on fire, and I think I might have ADHD. Too bad things aren't ideal enough for me to actually get my head looked at to make sure of that last one.
So what's up with y'all? Surviving okay? I've just kind of been knitting a lot and eating a bit too much.

Quotey Quotes

Monsters are tragic beings. They are born too tall, too strong, too heavy. They are not evil by choice. That is their tragedy. They do not attack people because they want to, but because of their size and strength, mankind has no other choice but to defend himself. After several stories such as this, people end up having a kind of affection for the monsters. They end up caring about them.

- Ishiro Honda

If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world

- Gandalf, The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien

When written in Chinese, the word 'crisis' is composed of two characters. One represents danger and the other represents opportunity.

- President John F. Kennedy

I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

- Bilbo Baggins, Fellowship of the Ring, Book I, Chapter One

This sentence has five words. Here are five more words. Five-word sentences are fine. But several together become monotonous. Listen to what is happening. The writing is getting boring. The sound of it drones. It’s like a stuck record. The ear demands some variety. Now listen. I vary the sentence length, and I create music. Music. The writing sings. It has a pleasant rhythm, a lilt, a harmony. I use short sentences. And I use sentences of medium length. And sometimes, when I am certain the reader is rested, I will engage him with a sentence of considerable length, a sentence that burns with energy and builds with all the impetus of a crescendo, the roll of the drums, the crash of the cymbals–sounds that say listen to this, it is important.

- Gary Provost

Fairy tales do not tell children the dragons exist. Children already know that dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed.

- GK Chesterson

Everyone is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody.

- Mark Twain

If you wanna thrive you gotta strive.

Wait, you mean you want to be sane? I'm perfectly happy being a raving lunatic weirdo.

Every man has his secret sorrows which the world knows not; and often times we call a man cold when he is only sad.

- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I recognize that the council has made a decision...but given that it's a stupid-ass decision, I've elected to ignore it.

- Nick Fury

WHEN YOUR DREAMS GO UP YOUR PANTS WILL FOLLOW

- A church sign that I saw everyday on my way home from school my sophomore year

Children are meant to grow up, and not to become Peter Pans. Not to lose innocence and wonder, but to proceed on the appointed journey: that journey upon which it is certainly not better to travel hopefully than to arrive, though we must travel hopefully if we are to arrive. But it is one of the lessons of fairy-stories (if we can speak of the lessons of things that do not lecture) that on callow, lumpish, and selfish youth peril, sorrow, and the shadow of death can bestow dignity, and even sometimes wisdom.

- JRR Tolkien, Tree and Leaf, "On Fairy-Stories"

I am young, I am twenty years old; yet I know nothing of life but despair, death, fear, and fatuous superficiality cast over an abyss of sorrow.

Random Bits of Writing Advice and Help

"Don’t tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass."

Any man who keeps working is not a failure. He may not be a great writer, but if he applies the old-fashioned virtues of hard, constant labor, he’ll eventually make some kind of career for himself as writer.

Shit I've said at various points, off-site and on-site

Fuck, I missed something big.(again:facehoof:)

I came here for a giggle and instead got squished by tons of heavy shit.

Introduction Box

Hi I'm Wyrme and I exist for some ungodly reason. I'm not really invested in FiM anymore, haven't watched since season 5, but I still look at this website sometimes. I like video games and drawing and stuff. I'm queer in every single sense of the word, but if you want to know more specifically, I'm nonbinary and asexual. If you think either one of those things is cringey or whatever, you can fuck off, honestly. I've heard it all and I don't have time for your nonsense. Of course, if you don't take issue with any of that, we'll most likely get along. If you aren't an asshole or purposefully ignorant, there's pretty much no reason for me to dislike you.
I was born in 1998, so if you wanna know my age, just do some subtraction. My pronouns are they/them.

I play Flight Rising, a game where you raise and breed dragons. Here's my Flight Rising user page. Please buy some of my dragons, I have too many.

I recently rented Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla, which was one of the first Godzilla movies I ever saw. I was feeling nostalgic and hadn't seen it in over a decade.

I was coming here to say the same thing.

I fuggin' love your current avatar! It's so...you!!

2419878 Well, there is Dragon's Dogma Online, but that's Japan exclusive - it would fucking awesome if they released it globally, though.
As for an actual sequel, that would also be fantastic.
