This story is a sequel to Starlight Rising

After Starlight had been sent to Canterlot, Trixie's control over Twilight continued to intensify with each passing day. Now that things have returned to normal and Starlight having been crowned "The Warrior Princess," all attention turns to Twilight. The princesses and Twilight's friends decide enough is enough. They have decided that Trixie's control over Twilight must be broken.

Cloudchaser has been dating Thunderlane for quite some time but things don't go so well when she discovers he isn't real serious. Cloudchaser is heartbroken but fortunately for her, her sister Flitter will be there to mend her broken heart.

Colgate is bored, very bored so she decides to take a walk through the Everfree Forest. She journeys into the darkest part of the forest and discovers a portal. She goes through it and discovers a different world from an earlier time. What she discovers there amazes her and piques her interest. She finds something that not only her, but her sister Lyra Heartstrings would want so she returns home and tells Lyra about this. The two sisters decide to go to this world and acquire what they want but the inhabitants will not make it easy.

Equestria has recently split into two nations, West Equestria and East Equestria. Unfortunately for West Equestria, most of the wealth and The Tree of Harmony lies in East Equestria. Deteriorating economic conditions leads to public unrest and two princesses abdicate, leaving one to rule the land. Is her magic strong enough to keep the country afloat or will it revert to an earlier state?

Parts of this story will be told by the character that the chapter focuses on.

Colgate has told us about how she hates problem patients and even what she has done to some of them but it isn't just the "nice" ponies that she has issues with. Given that other dentists across Equestria are sub-par, she now takes care of all sorts of patients, even the "evil" ones and she is very unhappy with some of them.

Colgate and her friends sit down to watch the new episode of MLP: FiM like they do every other Saturday but this episode isn't like the others. It actually includes Colgate and her friends in a meaningful role, which makes the three of them happy, at first. Soon Colgate does not like how she is portrayed and decides to let the writers know.

Starlight Glimmer discovers inequality at a very young age when her family can not afford the fee for her to apply for Celestia's school. She uses unconventional methods to gain entry but eventually gets expelled and banished from Canterlot. When she discovers who her true ancestors are, she realizes that her true destiny is more than bringing about friendship through sameness, it is something much bigger.

Colgate is Ponyville's friendly dentist, the one everypony thinks is a sweet, caring pony with that beaming smile. Don't let that smile and those caring eyes fool you though. Deep down Colgate is irritated and holds a lot of resentment towards some of Equestria's residents. While her views may surprise you, she has damn good reasons for harboring them.

Sweetie Belle wonders what is running through Opal's mind when she attacks Rarity one morning. During Twilight Time she runs across a spell that allows animals to talk. She memorizes it and casts it on some of the pets. While she, her friends and the animals love it, the pets' owners aren't so thrilled over the results and demand that she cast a counter spell that she will have to write herself. Will it work or will she have everypony mad at her forever?

For ages Lyra Heartstrings has absolutely loved humans. She has been fascinated by them, thought they could do no wrong and has always wished that she could have hands like they did. While seeking shelter in a cave during a thunderstorm, she discovers some ancient relics, history books written by the last humans. What she reads horrifies her. The things she learns about humans changes her views about them and she realizes that they were not the sweet, caring beings she thought.
