I said a while back that I'd start a series of writing advice blogs, but I've kind of put that off. 'S a running theme with me, most of the time. But there's no time like the present to start!
Definitely gonna write the thing... tomorrow.

Behold! Fluttershy as a witch! Isn't she cute?
... Oh, so it's supposed to be spooky?
Well, this has skeletons, at least. Those are pretty spooky, I've heard.
As of this moment, I am five minutes short of having spent 65 hours on writing during this calendar year. That sounds like a lot--that's more than two and a half entire days out of the year--but it really isn't. 275 full days of 2015 are gone. They've already passed. That represents 6600 (extra hours from today cut off for the sake of rounder numbers), which means I have spent just under one percent of my time writing. And that's after I just started writing a few hundred words every day
I try not to do blogs about my personal life. I'm very reserved, and I don't really like to open up unless I'm speaking to someone one-on-one, preferably face-to-face. But this has gotten to a point where it's relevant to anyone who likes any of the content I produce, whether it's blogs or stories or whatever. (So, presumably all of you.)
Okay, yes. Fair enough. I have made several of these blogs about blogging, and yet I haven't followed through on most of them. I will start my advice series just as soon as I get a buffer on my homework, which should happen this week. There's a lot going on lately, and long story short, it has been a very rough week.
I'll admit, this is going to look unusually petty of me, but a certain incident today has got me feeling like this cannot be left unsaid. Everyone fawns over groups like Equestria Daily, The Royal Guard, Seattle's Angels, and all those snazzy reviewers who've got nice little English degrees, yeah? They're the experts, after all. They know what they're talking about.
So, uh, I just spent most of the day just listening to nightcore remixes of songs. I even sought out new songs I didn't already know. No regrets.
For those who don't know, "nightcore" is a fancy term for speeding up songs and slightly increasing the pitch. It's surprisingly catchy. Have a few samples.
Edit: Youtube links! How do they work? Eh... have the urls, I guess.
I really hope I don't sound egotistical here, but my follower count has grown into a pretty good-sized number. I think it's safe to say I have some level of influence, even though I obviously don't have all 247 of you hanging on my every word. (Probably not more than one or two of you... at best.) But I'd assume that a lot of you are interested in my writing, and I feel like I should at least do something to help newer writers out. However, I'm no master of the craft. I only know so
I don't have a whole lot of time, since I still have schoolwork to do and a research paper to research, but I just thought I'd make a post celebrating two years of being on the site.
Well, episode 100 happened. It was a thing. Was it a good or bad thing? I ain't saying here! Read below the page break, ya bum! And to those of you who haven't watched the episode, watch it! Then you, too, can become one of those people screaming that it was the best/worst thing ever!
