I like writing. It's the thing that drives me. My goal is to reach others through my work and have a nice talk. He/Him.
Yep, I recently started watching the Doctor. Nothing much, just about three episodes (one of Twelve's and two of Thirteen's), plus a comics mini-series about Missy. Which inspired this very quick and very unfinished story. Nothing much, but I'd love to get some feedback since I haven't written anything in over a year.
Okay, so extrapolating 2 years into days, that's 730.5 days for the queen bee against the 30 of the worker bee. In other words, 24.35 times.
At precisely 13:50 on September 11, 1973, Gen. Javier Palacios sent a succinct message of six words from the Presidential Palace of La Moneda in Santiago de Chile to his superiors in the [USA] Armed Forces who had, that very morning, launched a coup d’état against the democratically elected government of President Salvador Allende.
Misión cumplida. Moneda tomada. Presidente muerto.
“Mission accomplished. La Moneda has been secured. The president is dead.”
Text: Main character says that discrimination is bad. Narrative insists that people should all be treated with respect.
Subtext: [the only queer people in-story are portrayed as unpleasant people and antagonistic to the main characters. The main antagonist is a 'psycho lesbian' archetype]
My reading: The author is a hypocrite and an asshole.
Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
I'd like to add more, but this one sums it up pretty well.
Okay, this is it. The big reveal. The final answers at the end of the road.
Tomorrow I mark my tenth year on this site and fandom. I started watching the series and reading the fics a bit before the date, but joining here marks a nice date to remember anyways.
Well, that. In about seven days (don't ask me about hours), it's going to be one decade since I joined this site, was reading avidly and writing obsessively, sleep hours be dammed.
I have nothing prepared for the occasion, though. Maybe I'll publish the sketchbooks for the unfinished stories. Or the ones for the ones I never got around writing. IDK.
Are there any queer friendly groups in this site?
I just saw a couple of threads on a couple of groups (no need to bring too much attention to those) that ended up brimming with queerphobia in general and transphobia in particular. And I'm tired. I may have come out fairly recently (two-three years now?), but I've seen enough queerphobia in my life for the rest of it.
