Firstly, allow me to say thanks to everyone who has been beating down my figurative door asking... demanding- darn near pleading with me to get my ass-embly in gear and post another chapter of Semper Paratus. Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond (and within) my control, the next chapter is delayed slightly. I have been writing it but I've found myself writing two chapters in tandem this time. Had I been focused on only one, it would have been done by now- but my outline has changed because of some reader input. I took the advice of a non-FiM reader to alter a part in a future chapter and it must be setup properly starting... well, now.

Yep, after some debate and re-writes on the "Semper Paratus" story outline (that isn't published yet) I decided to add the tag "Pony on earth" to the story. Say what?!

I probably jumped the gun on adding that tag but I think the readers will be pleased with the intended twists that justify said tag.

Good grief this chapter ran long and I had to spend nearly an entire DAY just trying to end the darn thing. I'd get within a couple sentences and think I was done- aannnnddd, nope. I realized something this past weekend as I wrote/read a little, I never put "Semper Paratus" up in the HiE group. I'm sitting here wondering if I should do it or not... I'm guessing that will mean a wider audience will actually see the story since now its just floating in limbo FiM space. Hmm, I think I'll do one more solid edit/review of the published chapters before hitting 'that' button.

So what I 'thought' was going to be a super easy chapter to write when I introduced Discord has turned out to be as challenging as those chapters involving a certain rhyming zebra! Trying to keep Discord's interactions fresh and believeable has been a nightmare. I'd get stuck working a scene and notice it didn't feel natural at all, scrap it and save the outline, and try again. Almost wrote in Rainbow getting into a fight but ended up deleting it because it wouldn't have flowed very well later

So I was kicking around some ideas for jokes to use in the Discord/awesomeness chapter of the story and came up with one but I can't use it! The characters wouldn't get the reference because its not implied...

*So a cow walks into a pony bar, and the bar tender asks "hey cow, why aren't you going to that cow bar down the street?"
The cow turns to the tender and says "no Moo friends, no Moo friends..."

Oh boy, once you read Chapter 3 of "Semper Paratus" you'll know their are some shenanigans ahead! Chapter 4 is gonna be fun to write and just in time too, I was getting burned out on Zecora's rhyming...

Yup, chapter 2 of Semper Paratus has been published out. Enjoy you readers so eager to read the next chapter! I've got a good start on chapter 3 and even outlined (possibly) the rest of this story... but don't get all crazy on me. I've been working late hours to get all these thoughts on paper as it were so if the chapters don't get posted as quickly from here on out- no hate mail please!

So Semper Paratus (next chapter awaiting) is bogged down in some dialogue with Zecora. This HAS to be the most challenging part of the story! I think I will use interactions with Zecora sparingly hence forth. It's taking waaaay too long to get the sentences just right and one little slip up makes it seem awkward or hurried. Can't have 'that' now can we?

While progress is slow, it is still moving forward. Dunno if I should set another date for a 'maybe' chapter post or just wait it out...hmm.
