This story is a sequel to Child of the Night

Helping other ponies with their insecurities and nightmares has always been the job of Princess Luna, and one she took quite seriously.

However, after saving one small filly from a terrible nightmare, things get turned on their head when the filly begins helping Luna instead.

Prior to Luna's transformation into Nightmare Moon and subsequent banishment, there was always one little filly that appreciated the night sky for what it was.

Princess Luna invites the CMC to drink with her. The CMC can't handle their alcohol.

They've finally done it. They beat Cozy Glow, Tirek, and Chrysalis. Twilight became the new ruler of Equestria.

Now there's no better way to wind down than getting drunk and playing party games until they pass out.

For years, Twilight never wondered why ponies randomly broke out into song.

When Spike asks why and Twilight doesn't have an answer, she decides to go to the one place she'd never been led wrong, where she could always get a clear, concise, and trustworthy answer.

Princess Celestia.

Celestia doesn't help.
