When Spike went to bed, he was a 162 year old dragon, war veteran, twice widower, and living on the outskirts of Ponyville. This morning, he wakes up to a voice he hadn't heard in decades on the eve of the 1000th Summer Sun Celebration.

Now, Spike must choose between the future he knows and a future he can make.

An experimental one-shot story about the maiden launch of The Celestia, in a strange universe very unlike the Equestria we are all familiar with. A deeper peek into a mysterious world of science, sorcery, and psionics, a world which is dubbed by those who observe it as "Dragonfire".

The curtain sets over the stage, but the characters continue to move, to speak, to live. This is just one event that occurred after we tuned out. An event which would occur as the Ponyville Days festival drew to a close and and Twilight would finally ask for her assistant to speak his mind on the events which had transpired.
