I don't remember who I said it to but I told some one that I am a great fan of the concept of trying fathers. This piece you wrote perfectly shows the common problem with father and son having different values, opinions or interests.

Yeah its a really touching story, heart-wreaking and tear-jerking. Beyond the overall dramatic feel pact dialog (all wonderful things to have in a story) One part that I am awestruck by is the combat between Celestia and Draggle, such horrific, grim and mesmerizing details.
Tightly followed by the head count Celestia is forced to do over the battlefield, her beloved friends and allies dying. so tragic that I almost cried.
And to top it all of you finish it beautifully with a caring Celestia, despite all she have been trough, it's still her
lovely
