You know, I was younger when I started Operation: Patriotism, and I just saw someone add it to a library, which prompted from me this thought; perhaps it would have been better if it was an M-rated story with more gore. Because at the time I started, I wouldn't have been up into real M-rated splatterfest, but now it seems it seems like it would have been the thing to do...

Then again, perhaps that would have invited undue comparisons to Fallout: Equestria...

It's taken three bloody years, (with some bleed over in Fimfiction's) case, but the absolutely final chapter of Operation: Patriotism is up!

If you've been tracking my activity, you'll know that I've been uploading new Patriotism chapters per day. I decided to make a blog post about this one because it marks the beginning of the fourth and final quarter of the story - the train is now on its way to its final destination.

I have some very sad news to share with anyone who happens to be reading this today. I've just learned that Carrie Fisher, probably most famous for her role as Princess Leia, and who just recently published a memoir earlier this year, has passed away after suffering a heart attack. It's always sad when somebody dies, when a public figure dies, but Fisher's loss feels especially painful given that she did some great feminist work and spoke out against sexism, and it's a excellent compounding of

So yeah, I've updated it again. But you know what else? I finish editing the first 12 chapters with Troubleshooter's suggestions. So I can't update them all on Fimfiction right away because of the one-chapter-per-day rule ... but do you know what what means? Do you know what that means?

It's Winter Break, which by rights mean I should have all the time off in the world to finish my remaining stories.

Everybody in my house is sick, including the dog.

Those of you who follow me or my story may have been noticing my stillborn red-headed stepchild that I just can't bring myself to let go, Operation: Patriotism has been updating a bit recently.

... yeah.

It's just been updating.

Trying to set things up so that, come winter break, I can start blitzing right through to the new chapters.

Yeah, that's it. I'm contemplating it for one of my novels. (Maybe more than one.)

I have went ahead and published the final chapter of The Color of Royalty after a cursory readthrough, without waiting for any proofreader. This was what I call "an executive decision", as I simply must have all this fanfiction wrapped up before yea'rs end, and there's less and less time to get that accomplished in.
