Also, new Shylight chapter up.

You know, where you start typing, then hit "delete," then type some more, then delete it again because it feels like nothing that's being written is good enough?
Yeah. I'm mired in one of those. Next chapters may be a while in coming, yet.
Another day, another chapter.
I think I'm pushing myself a bit too hard. I'll probably take a few days off.
Eternally Devoid has seen an update this morning.
There won't be a Shylight update today. Grimdark is a natural place for my mind to be, and today it didn't want to stray out of it. That story deserves better than the best I can give it.
Can't believe I managed to post two new chapters for two different stories in six hours.
To all the people who've been waiting, Shylight's been updated.
To all the Eternal Storm fans, there's a sequel, and Eternally Devoid is up to Chapter Two.
Enjoy.
While the new fic's still set in the future compared to the show, it's not going to be as far-flung as I thought. I found a plot device...
I haven't forgotten. I'm just putting 10,000% more work into the new story than I did into Eternal Storm. I've barely got one character fleshed out - obvious expys are easy. The rest... much more complicated.
I'm also trying to digest Luna Eclipsed and tie in the "new" Luna. Amazingly, I don't think it damaged my portrayal of her in Eternal Storm too heavily, other than a lack of the royal We.
I'm also thinking of doing an AU version of Eternal Storm's final chapters.
Shylight is still on break until I can figure out a better way to convey her in written form. (I'm getting the psychology right when you remember that she's her own pony from a personality standpoint.) I'll still work on it, it's just on the back burner.
I'm actually starting work now on a sequel to The Eternal Storm. I'm going to move the timeline ahead - way ahead. It'll be OC-laden as a result, but maybe I'll do better not having to write for the Mane Six.
Not calling "hiatus" yet, though I will call "break." Getting to the point where I was trying too hard to get chapters out fast. Writing quality suffered.
I can only keep up so much.
I'm tired. Looooong day. Short chapter tonight. Have some curveballs.
