New YouTube video: F1 2020 My Team Career Pt. 1 · 2:05pm Jun 6th, 2021

In which Kris takes on the Australian, Bahrain, Vietnam, China and Netherlands Grand Prix, 50% length with 50% AI. (Sorry, no ponies, just horsepower.)

Had to do it this way, with voiceover and some music, because of the week I streamed not knowing my microphone wasn't getting picked up by OBS.

Would you prefer more vids like this, edits of live-voiced races, or whole-length unedited races? Comment and let me know.

New video up on YouTube · 2:40am Jun 2nd, 2021

Found a memorable KSP ponies moment while going through archived stream recordings. Did the barest of bones edits to get it up quickly.

Longer-form videos in progress.

Holy shit, that actually WORKS without magic?? · 3:02pm May 27th, 2021

Hat-tip to Latrans for this one.

You remember that, in The Maretian, Mark Watney had Starlight Glimmer put pyramid-shaped quartz glass on top of the solar cells on the Whinnybago to increase solar power collection during the drive to the Ares IV MAV.

Well... turns out, after a fashion, it works.

And it works using technology from one of the 1980s' biggest fads.

No livewriting/editing tonight. · 9:56pm May 22nd, 2021

I've finished editing CSP.

I don't want to stream the pagination, because that has zero interest for anybody.

But I don't know what to work on, writing-wise, at the moment.

So I'll see folks at 7 for Assetto Corsa.

Science Surpassing Science Fiction, Again · 3:44pm May 22nd, 2021

In The Martian, Andy Weir wrote that the two Ares III rovers each used a heavy, bulky lithium battery that stored 9,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity. (That was based off of early-2000s new-generation moon rovers built for testing by NASA.)

CSP: Print Edition Progress · 1:47am May 21st, 2021

I finished what I intend to be the final edit of the printed CSP today.

I'm beginning work on layouts of all the pages, though things may need to be changed here and there.

I've put in print quote requests on a certain page count, which probably isn't accurate but which is close enough to work with here.

The cover art is only awaiting the final spine thickness to be finalized.

A Kickstarter will almost certainly begin before the end of the month.
