First things first: spoilers for Equestria Girls!
My first fic, and at first a fairly simple one. The title says "short", but theoretically I intend to make three or four chapters' worth of material, though even then it won't be particularly wordy. Sunset Shimmer gets far too little backstory, and her arc is over with too quickly. This will not do. Here, we will examine just what it was that made her into the villainess she is by the time the movie rolls around. After all, nopony starts out wicked.
Chapter 1 is a vignette styled after those in "The Cutie Mark Chronicles", which begins everything.
