Thanks, Next Fic, and On Writing · 2:07pm Apr 28th, 2012
Well, I guess this is sort of a status update post as I gear up, preparing to start writing the next fic, but first I just want to hit the pause button and say "thanks".
Thank you.
No really:
Cloudy writes stories. Cloudy likes it when ponies like each other maybe a little too much and sometimes end up in love. Cloudy writes stories about these things, often.

Well, so I lied a little with the update schedule on Within and Without. The "changes" I wanted to make turned out to be fairly simple to implement, so I'm speeding up a little. Odds are, I'll make the final update of 4 chapters + expanded epilogue before next weekend. Very excited about this!
Well, it's finally out! Thanks to Kits' lovely cover art and the editing/proofreading help of pre-reader-happy friends, the first two chapters of Where Your Heart Is is submitted and approved. I am very curious to see what sort of reception it gets in the coming days given that it's a pseudo-follow-up. The story has been submitted to EqD as well, and I hope that it is as accessible as I think - even for those who haven't read Where Earth
Within and Without is a season 1 adventure-drama-ship fic that goes a little darker than my usual stuff. It is the second pony fic I wrote, and due to sheer length (21 chapters/140k words) it's probably my "magnum opus" - for whatever that term's worth outside of pretentious prattle.
Hello, ponies!
In my efforts to post all my fics up on FimF, I've just uploaded Where Earth Meets Sky - a very slow and deliberate ship-fic of moderate length for those who like deliciously sappy romance.
I am coming to realize I'm not very good at using FimFiction. I hope to rectify this once I have time to breathe, but at the moment I really just spend all my spare hours writing. I want to upload all my fics to DA/FimF/PFA/wherever eventually, but since I'm writing anywhere between one and three fics at once these days, it's a bit hard right now.
Salutations!
As it turns out, somepony made an account with my name on FiMFiction and pretended to be me. That I didn't notice before a full 13 weeks had passed is a little tragic, but also testament to how subtle and ostensibly harmless this impersonator was. He behaved politely, uploaded all my fics (sans W&W/O) and mirrored my deviantArt posts here.
Heck, he did such a good job that when I found the account previously named "Cloudy Skies", I questioned my own memory.
