Madness. Madness has overtaken Twilight Sparkle. The world ends when her spell is complete. Twilight has to die—and Spike has to kill her. But he can't. He loves her. So back in time he goes, learning to hate so he may complete the deed.

Spike has been the loyal protector of Twilight, through pen and blade, but when she sends him on a mission too dangerous even for him, he returns missing an arm. Twilight must come to realize what she truly feels for her dragon.

It hasn't been long since Twilight and Spike moved into town. Spike doesn't feel close to the girls, and because of this, writes each of them a letter—hoping to invite them to his party.

We all want to be liked. If we could, we'd take acceptance and respect, but, for the time being, we'll take just being liked. What happens when a dragon dislikes us? Will we take the time to convince him otherwise, that we all are worthy of being liked, not on what we have done, but on who we are?

Writing is hard, or at least, that's what most writers say. Can their words be trusted? And just what are words? Do they dictate our worth, the quality of our lives? Spike is very sleepy, but he's equipped with a quill in his claw.

Spike and Twilight have been together for their whole lives, but what happens when the time comes when the friends are supposed to split apart? A long walk in the night reveals what the future holds for the duo.

Everyone is filled with their own constant fears that they keep from the world, either because of bravery or fear of reception, but those fears will never be quelled if we do not trust in the voices of our caring friends. Storm King was defeated, but Spike still has nightmares about the opposite occurring.
