Mostly that you've taken the fairly standard idea of human becoming changeling and applied a bit more mythos to it, something more along the veins of Love mine but retains enough of the comedic element to overshadow the darker ones and without the looming threat of war.

Though I also admit I'm a sucker for more centralized mythology, especially in works that work in classical mythology into the shows canon.
