So, I've never really liked children. As you will be able to tell later on in this new story, The Shadows of Aura. I've never really written a detective-style story, so I hope I do it justice.

I know horror isn't exactly well received on the site, but hey, I think this will be an interesting change for me. I haven't written anything really in a while. Anyway, hope you guys like it.

Okay, so I'm not sure if there is much interest for it, but just so people are aware:

1.) I am almost done with the first chapter. It is looking to be about 10K words thus far.
2.) In a way, I am hoping that it reads somewhat as a children's story; I want it to seem like I am getting into the mind of a colt in regards to overreactions and general observations and fears, etc.

Okay, this one was pretty hard. I had to voice numerous characters: Lemony Cutewhistle, Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Cranky Doodle Donkey, Cheerilee, and Flitter. I know I didn't get them all one-hundred percent (that, and there's only so much lemon ginger tea I can constantly drink for my throat), but I feel it was a good reading. This is my most ambitious reading yet.

So, this is the fifth story I have read, and this one is unique insofar as I am using a first person narrative with this one. It also happens to be the voice of a filly, so we'll see how my voice works with that.
