... To all! How's it going? I bet you're all warm and toasty enjoying the holidays with family and friends. Or if you're spending it in front of your computer reading this, then I have a Christmas present for you!
A good story isn't measured by how long it is, but by how long it stays with you.
... When I noticed a stink bug flying around my room. He landed at the top of the far left wall and sat there for a while. I paid him little attention, as I was working on the Track and Flight Meet section of chapter 4 and was getting really into it (I think you'll all really like how much more realistic this scene(s) will be). A few minutes later, I looked up for a 2-second mental break, and lo and behold, there he is on the far wall, scuttling to the right.
...Finals week and a mishmash of other things stuff the words you spoke right back into your mouth.
I apologize for my lack of time to work on Transcendence, but as it goes, life just doesn't like me and my desire to write ponies. Next week should bring the time I need, so expect a week or two delay on the rewrite.
Whatever happens, Transcendence will finish as planned—probably a little after the air date of said episode, possibly sooner.
Because I know more than half of you are waiting for this story, I feel it is only right for me to tell you what's going on. You see, it isn't that I haven't been (entirely) leaving it to rot, it's that I'm doing what needs to be done more than anything: a rewrite.
Anyways, just thought I'd preempt 500 followers and post this story as a congratulatory milestone. It's like a birthday gift to me! I'm so happy.
As always, enjoy!
EDIT: It is not my birthday. Notice the word "like" in the sentence.
... if I had mentioned (and linked to) my new story when it was released.
