When Spike begins having flashbacks to a time eons past, memories of a creature named Scorpan and a dragon that looks uncannily like himself, he finds himself with many questions, and few answers to help him piece together their story.
At a loss of how to be romantic, Spike goes to Cadance in order to learn how to treat a mare. Cadance agrees, and sets up practice dates between them. However, after spending time with him, the dates become less practice and more affectionate.
