Getting back into writing is turning out harder than I thought. I'm going to probably give writing by prompts a shot to get back into the saddle, so to speak (type?).
Now that weird piece of writing. I don't know what brought this on, but I really should do a dramatic reading of it. It sounds much better that way.

I used to write poetry on occasion whenever the whimsy struck me. I was never very good. Anyway, I was inspired by PonyPhonic's Lullaby for a Princess and Mskarlshipper's Luna's Reply songs on YouTube and decided to take a crack at a poem from Luna's Point of View after being sent to the moon. Rhyming isn't usually my thing but it happened. Without further ado (about nothing):
A moment of weakness,
An eternity of darkness.
My mind is split in twain,
Both halves in endless pain.
