The Beginning
"Push them back sisters!" Captain Luna shouted as she shot back with her Storm Bolter, clad in Terminator Armor she led her Battle-Brothers and Sisters against the Chaos Legion adorned in Blood Red armor, the sign of Chaos Undivided blazened on their shoulderpads. The bear-headed Chaos soldiers were scarred and deformed, horns growing from their skulls and their fur left in patches on their heads, their eyes sunken in and turned completely black and totally devoid of life.
In the devastation that was taking place at the gates of Canterlot Twilight was guiding a group of tactical marines. Wielding her librarian staff keeping her Battle-Brothers and Sisters protected as she led them against the onslaught of Chaos trying to force their way into the city towards the Imperial Palace. Twilight stuck out her hand at the advancing army and focused her energy. Bolts of Psychic energy shot from her hand and arched between the charging Chaos Marines, the bolts cut right through their armor and electrified them from the inside. They fell to the ground and allowed the Tactical Marines behind Twilight to come up along side of her and open fire on the rest of the charging Chaos Infantry, mowing them down with a wall of Bolter rounds. "Push them back my Brothers and Sisters, we can keep them from getting to the Empress!" the violet Librarian called out as she stepped forward with her Brothers and Sisters.
Fluttershy was in the heat of battle too, clad in white armor with one colored shoulderpad of her chapter she was an Apothecary. Wielding a bolt pistol she fought as hard as the rest of the combined chapters. She kept watch over her brothers and sisters like she did on her farm before all of the Chaos started. Fluttershy was quickly inducted as a Apothecary with her knowledge on tending to the wounded. She was under the command of Chief Apothecary Redheart. Fluttershy heard the screams of a downed sister and she rushed over to hear. She found that she had been shot 4 times but some of the wounds weren't too deep and didn't hit anything vital. She quickly gave her something to make the pain stop and the marine was right back up and fighting.
Rainbow Dash was also in the heat of things. She was wearing power armor but instead of the standard backpack she had on a Jump-pack. Rainbow Dash was a Sergeant in the Assault Division of the chapter known as the Burning Pegasi, a chapter that specialized in air-to-ground assaults with the help of many flying vehicles from Stormtalons to gargantuan Strike Cruisers. The aircraft that the most utilized was the Stormraven gunship for fast aerial assaults and deep strike missions. Rainbow Dash was armed with a Bolt pistol and a power sword, dodging Chaos Marines and firing or slicing back at them with all the force that she could muster. She used her Jump-pack to out maneuver her targets as she fought them. Her power armor was painted in Bone White and Blood Red. Being one of the most revered Assault Sergeants in the chapter she was quick on her hooves and fast with the counter attacks. Nothing could out Maneuver her.
Applejack wasn't like her sisters in battle, she was not a basic marine, she was a Tech Marine. Like Rainbow Dash she was wearing power armor, painted in the tradition blood red of the Adeptus Mechanicus with her chapter icon on her left shoulder pad, she was apart of the chapter known as the Silver Golems, a chapter that was famous for having a larger number of Terminators than most chapters and were famous for close combat. Wielding a large power axe and her Bolter she stood amongst her Battle-Brothers and Sisters the Terminators of her chapter making up a large number on the battlefield. Her Servo-Harness making her stand out amongst the mass of warriors fighting back the Chaos Marines. While she was fighting she saw one of the dreadnoughts was immobilized by a well placed Lascannon through the leg. She went to the Dreadnought and she examined the damaged. While she was doing this 5 gun servitors were covering her. The servitors were mindless drones, about the size of a regular pony, being vat grown and programmed to work for the Techmarines.
"Almost got it...done!" she shouted as the Dreadnought slowly got back on it's feet.
"Thank you Techmarine..." it replied in a deep almost robotic voice as it move forward back into the fight.
"Don't let up sisters! We can still push them back to the Eye of Terror!" Luna shouted as she and her Honor Guard moved forward with 2 squadrons of Terminators, a Terminator Chaplain with them as well. As the squadrons moved forward at their back was heavy support from 2 Dreadnoughts equipped with twin linked Auto-cannons.
Pinkie Pie was moving with the Terminators, she was apart of a devastator squadron, on her back she had an ammo feeder that fed into a heavy bolter. The squad consisted of Heavy Bolters, Plasma Cannons, and Multi-Meltas. Pinkie Pie was the Sergeant of the squadron belonging to Rainbow Dash's chapter, the Burning Pegasi. "Devastators forward, charge Plasma Cannons!" She shouted as they Plasma Cannons stepped forward charging them up for a powerful burst. "Fully Charged Sergeant." The marines said in unison.
Charging at them was a squadron basic Chaos Marines, snarling and yelling as they charged. The leader was bare headed, the mark of Chaos Undivided burned onto his forehead. It's face deformed and cracked like dying planet. Pinkie waited until they were close. Her eyes shot open wide. "Fire!" She barked.
"Die Heretics!" the Devastators shouted as they fired off their Plasma Cannons. Heavy burst hit every Chaos Marine burning a hole right through them, falling to the ground as their liquidized insides spilled from the hole in their bodies.
Rarity was different from her sisters and brothers, she wasn't Space Marine, she was an Inquisitor. A member of the Ordo Hereticus. Out of all of her friends she refused to become a Space Marine because she said it looked barbaric. She was later contacted by the Empress and she asked why she didn't want to join the ranks of the Space Marines. She gave her reason and the empress proposed an alternative, to join the Ordo Hereticus and fight Chaos while keeping everyone in line. She was the few Inquisitors on the battlefield assisting the Space Marine legions as they fought back the forces of Chaos.
But with all of the force behind the loyal Space Marines they were outnumbered 2 to 1. They were getting pushed back and it looked like they were going to lose this fight and lose the Castle of the Empress. as everything looked grim tremors were felt in the scorched planet below, getting louder and more violently. Twilight looked behind her as a massive shadow was cast onto her and her brothers and sisters.
"TITAN!!!" Shouted Twilight.
Behind them stood a Reaver Class Titan, armed with Volcano Cannon and Gatling Blaster. The Goliath slowly stomped its way out of the castle to join the Space Marines in pushing back the heretics. Inside the castle the Empress could see that the battle was starting to turn in favor towards Chaos and she couldn't let that happen, she had to send superheavy support.
Applejack saw the Titan behind her and she looked back at the castle. "Bless Omnissah."
Luna made contact with the pilots of the Ttian. "Reaver Titan Pilots this is Commander Luna requesting heavy support."
"Request granted Commander, what are your order?" The pilots responded.
"Target the Chaos Marines, wipe out as many as possible!" She shouted back in the heat of battle.
"Acknowledged." The pilot responded back.
The Titan's Volcano Cannon positioned itself and the loud drone of it charging could be heard over the sounds of battle.
"Targets acquired Commander Luna, preparing to fire in sweeping motion." The gunner for the Volcano Cannon chimed in
"Fire now!" She shouted.
"Firing!"
And with the loudest explosion that could be heard the Titan's Volcano Cannon fired, a huge, bright beam of energy collided with the planet. The Titan moving it's arm from right to left slowly. Like an exploding star it wiped out thousands of Chaos Space Marines in one foul swoop. The blast lasted what seemed like an eternity before it stopped, all that was left was one long, smoldering trench. The Marines that once stood there were reduced to nothing, like they never existed.
"Ready the second weapon!" The pilot of the Titan shouted at the second gunner.
"Ready Captain." She responded.
"Commander Luna the Gatling Blaster is ready, waiting for your command." The gunner said.
"Aim for the tanks and infantry!"
"Targets acquired." The gunner responded.
"Fire!" Luna shouted back shooting back at Oncoming Warp Raptors.
"Firing."
The Gatling Blaster of the Titan fired round after round, each shell hitting the ground shaking the planet violently. Explosions shook the ground and leaving gaping craters where the shell impacted. Everything in it's wake was reduced to smoldering remains. The Gatling Blaster continued to fire for minutes before it stopped. With the Volcano Cannon and Gatling Blaster it left the Army of Chaos's forces cut in half in mere minutes. It was Devastating to say the least. Smoke was billowing from the Titan's weapons as the loyal Marines moved forwards destroying anything else that was left after the Titan had reduced a huge chunk of the Chaos Marines.
"Retreat back to the Warp!" The Dark Apostle shouted as portals opened and Chaos Marines flooded back into the Warp, defeated.
What was left of the battlefield was unbelievable, bodies of Chaos and Loyal Marines alike covered the ground, what was once green and colorful and full of life was snuffed out by war and death. The Apothecaries went around the battlefield collecting the Gene Seed from fallen and near death Marines. During all of this the bodies of Chaos Marines faded into Warp Dust. Over time the Apothecaries finished getting the Gene Seed from the fallen brothers and sisters and the legions made their way back to the Castle. Preparing for the next attack from Discord and his legions of Chaos Marines.
Deep in The Warp
"My Lord, We have returned from the Castle of the Empress." The Dark Apostle said kneeling before a throne.
Sitting on the Throne was Discord wearing Terminator Armor decorated in symbols of Chaos and Death. The mark of Chaos Undivided burned onto his face where some arrows of the Chaos Star crossed over his eye. "And..."
"They had a Titan My Lord, we got slaughtered." The Dark Apostle said.
There was a long pause before Discord opened his eyes again, he wasn't pleased. "Unacceptable...You failed me Dark Apostle, you're lucky I don't kill you here..."
"I won't fail you again my lord, The False Empress will fall and I will bring you her head." He responded.
"You better Apostle, or it'll be your head on a spike." he said looking up, the spikes on top of his throne having the heads of those loyal to the Empress and followers of Chaos who had failed him.
"Prepare for another attack, I want the Castle leveled!"
