All of the girls have at one point or another had Spike help them. However, it seems that the little dragon's good deeds often go unnoticed. So as an act of kindness, they all write letters to Spike.
Hello, Spikey! It’s me, Pinkie Pie! Guess what? I’m writing you a letter! But it’s not just any letter! Wanna know why I’m writing this letter? Huh? Do ya? Well, read on and find out!
Well, all of us had this really crazy idea. You see, we all had thought of you earlier today when we were all talking and having snacks at Sugarcube Corner. And amongst the cupcakes and the chuckles, we got this idea of sending you letters! But not just normal letters! Oh, no! These letters are special! They’re special because we wanted to write them to you to say thanks! Wanna know why we want to say thanks? Because you are such a hardworking, little dragon! We never get to say thank you enough to you and your purple and green self!
Just think about all the stuffs you’ve done for us! You always are working hard for Twilight, you run errands for any and everypony, and how could anypony forget when you helped save the Crystal Empire? That was, like, super duper important!
So, yeah, thanks for everything Spikey! And expect more letters from the rest of the gals! We all plan to write you!
Hey, squirt, it’s Rainbow Dash. This ain’t me, but I wanted to write ya and just say thanks. You are quite a brave little dragon. I mean, remember back when Discord was messing up the entire town and all that stuff was going down? Well, I heard about what ya did for everypony, trying to fill in for me when I….kinda left everypony hanging. It took guts to do that, and I think you got quite a lot.
Also, sorry about leaving you all like that. But what ya did was really cool, Spike, and I honestly think you are one of the more awesome creatures I’ve ever met. So, yeah, thanks, dude.

Howdy there, partner. It’s Applejack. I know this might sound odd coming from a pony like me. In fact, it might just be coming out wrong entirely, but I wanna say thank ya.
I’m not one for writing letters or anything like that, especially in appreciation to somepony….well, dragon. Either way, I’ll make this short. I wanted to say thanks. Ya do a lot for all of us. Obviously, ya do a lot for Twi, ya are her assistant of course. But ya go out of your way for many others. I even remembered when ya offered to help me with every little thing cause ya thought I saved your life.
To me, in that small body of yours, ya got yourself a big heart. And that’s why I think we all love ya, sugarcube.
Hello, it’s Fluttershy. I….um….not sure what to write here, but Twilight Sparkle and the rest of us are writing you letters to show you our appreciation to you. It might seem odd, but we really do love and care about all you do for us, both the little things and the big.
Such as when you babysat for all of our pets while we went to the Crystal Empire. You were so thoughtful to watch over all of them. And you even invited the Cutie Mark Crusaders to watch over them with you. It was really nice of you to do that. While the rest of us went to have our own important adventure, you were willing to stay home and have a nice and quiet time at home. To be honest, I wouldn’t have mind such a time at home everyday, but I know you are the kind of dragon that loves adventure and that sort of thing.
To sum up this letter, I want to just say thank you so very much for being a wonderful dragon. Twilight is certainly lucky to have such a great assistant like you. You are such a kind-hearted little dragon, and that is coming from the element of kindness. But joking aside, thank you Spike.
Hello, darling. It’s me, Rarity. Recently, it has come to my attention that you might feel under appreciated. Well, I want to disprove that thought in your head, dear. You see, I understand why you might feel like everypony is taking advantage of you. Being selfless, you offer to help any and every pony that might need it. Whether it be Twilight Sparkle around the library, Applejack after you claimed she saved your life, or yours truly when I need assistance around my shop. You are a truly a gentlecolt….or dragon.
I really do mean it, Spike. Even the little things you do for us mean quite a lot. Such as with serving us girls when we visit the library, you are always there to lend a helping hoof, or in this case, a claw. From the moment you greet us, you offer us tea and hospitality. You are more of a gentlecolt than a number of stallions that I know.
Simply put, my dear Spike, I want to thank you for being a wonderful little dragon. I know for certain that one day, you will make some dragon, or maybe even somepony, very happy.
Hello. It’s me, Twilight Sparkle. I know it’s a bit unconventional for me to do this, but I felt that this would be more fitting. It’s come to my attention lately that you have been working quite a bit more than I have really noticed. I must say that you have done more than your fair share of work and I am really proud of you. And for that, I sincerely thank you.
In fact, that’s one reason why I want to write this letter. I honestly feel like you don’t get enough respect for all the work you do for everypony in the library and around Ponyville. I know first hoof that you are a fantastic assistant to me, but I have seen over our time in this new town that you are more than just my dragon assistant. You are a wonderful family member and friend. While the girls and I go off on all our bizarre and mind-boggling adventures, you stay home. No matter what happens on our ventures, it is just very refreshing and great to know that you are there waiting for our return, ready to welcome us back.
Plain and simple, Spike, I want to let you know how grateful I am to you. I appreciate all the hard work and kindness you put into making everyday wonderful. Not just for me, but for everypony. It was actually the girls who suggested in writing these letters to you to show our thanks and I felt they were completely right about the small gesture of gratitude.
So, thank you, Spike. For everything. You are truly an angel.
