> Would You Like a JellyBaby Princess? > by PoeticJustice33 > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Chapter One: Unexpected Landing (edit) > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Doctor never planned on making any quick stops anywhere other than to his destination but circumstances were forcing him to make an emergency landing on a planet near by. The Tardis was shaking uncontrollably for what must have been minutes but to the Doctor it seemed more like hours. The lights on some of the controls flashed red as if informing him of his obvious situation. He knew that the Tardis as powerful as it was could be damaged severely if he didn't get control soon, but with the amount of shaking and spinning it was doing it was hard for the Doctor to stay on his feet let alone get to the controls. With crossed fingers the Doctor clung to the wall and with a leap managed to make it to the controls giving the Doctor a chance at making his landing a tad less uncomfortable than it would have. Now all he had to do was hang on for dear life and pray to whatever exists out there that when the Tardis landed it wouldn't end up in pieces. As the Tardis spun towards it's target the he eyed the monitor screen showing the planet coming closer and wondering what he might find down their. With a loud boom the Tardis landed knocking the Doctor to the floor. With a small groan of pain he stood up and sighed in relief; The Tardis was still in one piece and nothing seemed to be damaged but it was better to be safe than sorry. The Doctor tried starting the Tardis up but for some reason it just wouldn't start. There was nothing visibly wrong with the thing ,and everything else seemed to be in working order so why wasn't the start up working. When he opened the doors he was greeted by a dark forest. Everywhere he looked trees seemed to loom over him. Most creatures in the universe would feel slightly intimidated but not the Doctor. Considering all he had seen throughout the universe Trees were by far the most average thing he had seen so far. After taking a quick look around he decided that now was the best time to find some sort of civilization and see if they could help him get the Tardis out of the woods. It didn't take very long for him to find the way out. Ever since getting that finder device he got off the planet Mixmasis he could find his way out of any place easily and be right back at the Tardis again. Once out of the forest he could finally see the sun ,and at a small distance a town. The Doctor judged by the sun's position in the sky that it was approaching mid day which gave him plenty of time to introduce himself to the locals. "Spike! Can you get the book on magical spheres for me please?" Twilight's day had been stressful ,and it only seemed to get worse whenever someone bothered her. She had been busy the whole day with reorganizing and making sure everything was in it's proper place. Her issue wasn't the cleaning or the organizing as it was that no one knew that the Library was closed due to a need to reorganize and alphabetize the books. She had even put up the closed sign on the door because of her reorganizing. Applejack had come over earlier asking if Twilight she was free for the day and Twilight had to take a few moments to collect herself before politely telling her she couldn't because she was busy. So busy was she that she didn't notice her assistant Spike right next to her with the book she had asked for. "You know Twilight maybe you need a break from all this work?" Before she had a chance to respond there was a knock at the door. "Hello? Is anyone there?" A voice from behind the door said. Twilight didn't recognize it as any of her friends so she deduced it was just one of the citizens of Ponyville coming to check something out ,but failing to notice the closed sign. With a groan Twilight went to the door and opened it. "Sorry but we're.." She stopped in mid sentence when she noticed what she was talking to. In front of her was a bipedal creature that oddly enough wore clothes including a hat. It's mane was incredibly curly and it seemed to not have much hair anywhere else. What fascinated Twilight the most though was how absolutely strange and exotic it looked to her. Twilight wasn't sure whether to say something ,or runaway screaming so she took the next best approach and stared open mouthed at it. "Hello are you by any chance Miss Twilight Sparkle?" The thing said with a grin wide enough to rival Pinkie's. Twilight wasn't sure what to say to this thing. On one hoof this creature could be dangerous but on the other hoof it could talk and it didn't look all that nasty considering it was polite. Finally she decided to just ask it's name. "Who are you?" The creature smiling down at her said with a notable Trottingham accent, "I'm the Doctor. Would you like a jelly baby by any chance? Usually helps in awkward situations." The creature than put a hand into one of it's pockets and produced a small bag made of some weird parchment filled with what Twilight figured to be jelly babies. "There not real babies are they?" Twilight asked with some disgust in her voice. The creature only laughed and explained that jelly babies were just a treat you ate. With that knowledge Twilight felt a little more comfortable with the things offer ,and (with only a little hesitation) used her magic to reach into the bag and take a single colored little candy and eat it. Smiling Twilight motioned the thing to come inside. "Spike! Can you get some tea started, please?" > Chapter Two: The Meeting of Six Ponies > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Twilight couldn't believe how polite the Doctor was. He seemed to be patient and was not irritated by how she acted around him. At first she had been confused about whether or not The Doctor was male or not. But decided to keep on referring to the Doctor as a he just in case he'd take offense. As for the Doctor himself, he was calm and quite comfortable as he listened to Twilight talk about her friends to him. Finally he interrupted her. "Miss Sparkle by the way you seemed to be talking to me it would seem you have a slight crush." Twilight looked away with a hint of a blush on her lavender cheeks. "Come now there's nothing to be ashamed about. Your young, it's natural to have feelings like that. Although I am quite flattered that you have feelings for me. After all were completely different species you and I." That only made Twilight blush more. She wasn't really sure why she liked him. He just seemed so easy to talk to and didn't call her names for being smart unlike one Rainbow maned pegasus who nearly always had something to say about her reading books. "So Doctor do you mind if I ask you any personal questions?" The Doctor looked at Twilight with a raised eyebrow. "Depends on what these personal questions are?", The Doctor, said in a mock serious voice. "Well, I just wanted to ask a few questions about what you are exactly, and why your here even here. Oh! Not that I want you to leave or anything." The Doctor raised his hand in understanding, "Say no more. I'll tell you what you want to know. The first thing you should know is that I'm a Timelord from the planet Gallifrey. I landed here by accident after my ship started to act up. No, I haven't been here before, but I assumed that someone here must have some knowledge about science so I asked around and was pointed towards you." Twilight could only guess how many ponies must have seen him. Hopefully no pony panicked or else things were liable to get out of control. The best course of action was to allow the Doctor a place to stay the night, and in the morning introduce her friends to him. She hoped she wouldn't get reprimanded for being just a tad bit rude earlier. That night Twilight had the Doctor sleep on the sofa which was usually used by ponies that liked to relax and read at the Library. The Doctor on his part had no complaints and simply laid himself down, put his hat over his face, and went to sleep. The Doctor was a funny dreamer. Unlike his other selves he seemed to have quite a lot of enjoyable dreams. The one he was in now had to do with a giant robot threatening the Brigadier and his men as they desperately tried to stop the rampaging monster of metal. Just when things seemed lost there was the Doctor inside a moving vehicle holding a bucket filled with a strange concoction. Once the car was near enough the Doctor splashed the liquid on to the metal beast. The effects were instantaneous. The Doctor watched triumphantly as the creature began to shrink and shrivel until there was nothing left of it. He then put on one of his best smiles as they cheered for him. But, like most dreams it had to end eventually. The first thing the Doctor heard when he woke up were voices. Five voices to be precise. They all seemed to be whispering something to each other. Out of curiosity he decided to pretend to sleep so that they would continue with their conversation. "I don't trust him. He could be a spy for all we know" "The fact is you don't know Rainbow and if I remember correctly you thought Twilight here to be a spy too," said a more posh feminine voice. " Hey that was totally different then what's going on now. This guy just comes from nowhere and sleeps in your home and you don't even question why?" "I did ask him why and he said his ship needs to be repaired and he'll need help getting it out of the Everfree Forest." "I must say it's good that someone around here trusts me." Twilight and her friends jumped and turned around seeing the Doctor sitting up and smiling at them. Twilight walked over to him smiling brightly. "Hello Doctor. Did you sleep well?" "As a matter a fact yes I did, but I'm awfully curious right now as to who your friends are. If that's alright with you?" Twilight introduced all of her friends to the Doctor who throughout the introductions smiled and nodded his head at each of them. " Twilight hears says you came here on some type of spaceship?" Rainbow said trying to mask her curiosity with suspicion. " The proper term for it is a Tardis. It allows me to travel through space and time to any destination I want. It's quite fun actually. I was on my way to a party on the planet Sol before I ended up here." "When the word party went past the Doctors lips everypony in the room gave Pinkie a wide berth. Already Twilight and her friends could see Pinkie's grin (which was known for never leaving her face) seemed to get a tad wider , and her eyes bigger. Suddenly Pinkie couldn't hold her excitement anymore and exploded. "Ohmygoshthisissocoolweshouldhaveapartytocelebrateandthenhavemorepartiesonanotherplanmmff..." "Pinkie chill out and be quiet," Rainbow said while keeping her hoof over pinkies mouth. Pinkie gave Rainbow Dash a nod, and had the hoof taken away from the pink pony's mouth. "Sorry about that, Pinkie just gets really excited over anything to do with parties," Rainbow Dash said giving a knowing grin back at Pinkie. Pinkie just giggled at the prospect of being able to have parties on another planet. The Doctor seemed astounded by the amount of energy the pink pony had and made a mental note not to give her any jellybabies. "Ummm Doctor? By any chance can we see your Tardis?" said the yellow pegasi pony which the Doctor recognized as Fluttershy. "I don't see any harm in going to see the old girl. After all I came here in hopes of finding help repairing it which I'm sure your friend Twilight here has told you all about." The Doctor said while smiling gently down at Fluttershy. Now it was Rainbow Dash who couldn't hold back her excitement and flying as close to the Doctors face as she could. "You mean we can actually see it!? For real!?" "Yes of course you all can but remember that you can look all you like just as long as you don't touch anything. Also stay within the main room if I'm not there to guide you. Without me there you might get lost inside and that wouldn't be very fun now would it?" They all nodded in agreement. Twilight herself was rather curious at what the Doctor's Tardis actually looked like and was excited at the opportunity to see it. As she listened to her friends ask questions( one of which came from Pinkie Pie asking if he ever fought against giant cupcake monsters) her stomach gurgled. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked her way. She blushed embarrassingly. "I think before we go anywhere we should get some breakfast first?" The Doctor smiled and placed his hat next to him. " Miss Sparkle you took the words right out of my mouth." "Alright then I'll just go wake Spike up to make us something to eat than we can be on our way."
