A mixture of MLP:FIM and Kid Icarus. Pit is ordered by his goddess to help train up Celestia's army. Let's hope he can train them fast enough to stop Discord and Pandora.
Taking place after "Kid Icarus: Uprising" and "MLP:FIM season 2" and changing the FIM world into a Human/Angel/Gods/ect. world.
Pit, angel of Palutena, needs to train Celestia's army; but when Discord and Pandora take over the thrown, Pit needs to team up with Twilight and the girls to stop the two and save Celestia. The story will mostly follow around Pit as he interacts with the girls.
Within a dark room, a door of opens showing a burst of sunlight as a boy jumps through the door and spreads his wings. The boy starts falling and is suddenly flying through the sky, wearing a white tunic that matched the color of the sword he was carrying, it's also covered with dark blue and gold rims.
"Look like your eager to do another mission." A voice said in the boy's mind.
"Of course, after resting in bed for the past week, who wouldn't be eager?" the boy spoke out loud.
The boy's name is Pit and he's actually an angel. He serves under the Goddess of Light, Palutena, to fight of the forces of darkness. Pit is the leader for Palutena's army, but despite the strong role he has he lacks the ability to fly. Right now though, he is flying with the help of his Goddess.
"Well even so, we'll start off small and work our way from there."
"Come on, really? I want to do something exciting, like taking out a few Kometos."
"Sorry Pit, but I don't want you back in recovery because you over strained yourself on the first day."
"Alright... so, where are we going Lady Palutena?"
"You'll be going to the land of Equestria, watched over by the Goddess Celestia."
"Celestia of Equestria, sounds like they really like her."
"The proof is usually in the pudding."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, have you ever played Sim City."
"A little, it was really boring."
"Well, Celestia is a big fan of the game. So much that she actually made a kingdom and is ruling over it."
"Really! Man, I hope she's a Pokemon fan too."
"Anyway, you're going there to help train her army."
"Me? Doesn't she have a captain of her own?"
"He's on a honeymoon."
"But why me?"
"I owe her a favor, and besides, this will help you get back into shape."
"Alright fine, I'll do it; I still think fighting some underworlders would be a better plan."
"You'll be there for a few days so I won't be watching over you all the time, but don't feel obligated to call me for help. I'm expecting you to take good care of her army."
"Don't worry, when I'm done with them, they'll be able to take down any boss one-on-one."
Pit is flown high into the sky, passing clouds left and right of him until he could see a town made entirely out of clouds, pouring water and rainbows from the floating city.
"Whoa, a city made out of clouds." Pit said in astonishment.
"Which is why this place is called Cloudsdale." Palutena informed.
"It's amazing."
"Why, thank you." a new voice said in Pit's mind.
"Celestia, there you are. I brought Pit just like I promised." Palutena greeted.
"So you're the one that took on Hades." Celestia said "For facing off against the Lord of the Underworld, you must truly be strong."
"Eh it was no big deal." Pit boasted.
"No big deal?" Palutena confronted "If I remember correctly, it took a Weapon master, two gods, and an enemy to you take him down."
"But still, I was the one doing most of the fighting."
"That may be true, but I would assume that needing so much help would be considered as 'no big deal'."
Celestia started chuckling as Palutena and Pit continued on arguing.
In the distance, Pit could see a long road strip with what appear to be huts on the left "Your almost at the runway" Celestia said "I'll get my angels ready."
"WHAT, ALREADY? Oh man, how does my hair look, this robe doesn't look that filthy, does it?" Pit said frantically.
"Calm down your fine." Palutena consulted him "Just make sure don't screw up your opening speech."
Pit gently lands on the runway with various angels in size all lined up in front of him. One looked like a Centurian Strongarm, he's even caring a barbell as though it was a club. The only difference between him and a Centurian Strongarm is the fact that he had wings, small ones, but wings none the less. Another angel was very odd, everything about her appearance was fine, except for her eyes. They looked off centered, but the question was which one of her eyes were off centered.
In any case Pit started his pep talk "Um... hey... how's everyone doing? *clears throat* My name's Pit, commander of the army for the goddess Palutena, and I'm here to help train you." The other angels just stood there in silence. "Well um..., why don't we start by having you show me your basic routines. Company engage." The other angels fly off into the air and start pummeling on various cloud with their weapons. The strongarm one is swinging his club around, that lazy eyed one was shooting bubbles out of her cannon. "Fighting clouds?" Pit wondered "Doesn't this place have any monsters to fight?" Pit watch and saw many flaws that those angels could work on, like working on charge shots and concentrate on enemies instead of eating muffins, but one angel caught his attention. This angel was quick, faster then any of the others, this angel had claws for a weapon. Each of it's talons had an individual color,like a rainbow, which ironically matched her rainbow hair.
"Hey you" Pit shouts, getting her attention "You should really pace yourself."
"Don't worry, I got plenty of energy to keep me going for days." she said gloating over that statement.
"I don't care how much energy you have, your going to wear yourself out."
The girl flies straight towards Pit and stops near his face "What right do you have for judging my potential?" the other angels looked over at Pit and the girl arguing.
"Well, it's just that." Pit was getting flustered, but he put on a concerned smile "Everyone needs time to rest, even in battle, and if you don't rest you'll get tired and might even be an open target for an enemy."
"Peh" she smirked "Somebody getting the jump on good old Rainbow Dash? That will be the day."
"Well, doing this will make sure that it will never happen."
She put her hands on her hips "Alright then wise guy, why don't you show us how it's done then."
Pit stood their silently as the other angels watched "Er... maybe you should just do as I say and follow my words."
Feeling that she was winning the fight, Rainbow Dash starts pursuing him "What, can't live up to your words?"
Pit was starting to sweat "No, it's just that... um..."
"What, spit it out."
"I um... can't... fly."
Rainbow Dash stood there in silence as Pit stand vulnerable in front of his new army, now knowing his embarrassing secret, until a little voice started to come out of Rainbow Dash. "he... he... BWA-HA HA HA. A commander angel that doesn't know how to FLY?"
Pit just stood there feeling that he was finished, he knew that not knowing how to fly is a real embarrassment and having Rainbow Dash laughing was just salt in the wound.
Hours past as the Moon reached it's highest point of the night as a woman can be seen flying through the air. She lands in front of a statue of an old man giving an expression of fear in his eyes. "So this is where you were Discord" the woman said "no wonder you never return any of my letters." She starts walking around the statue in a fashioned like style "Just look at you, you could never take good care of yourself." She stares the statue right in the face "I guess I should help you, Ding-a-ling." She lifts up her arms as an orb of sweet blue and pink/purple started to form and then threw it at the statue bringing it to life.
"Oh shut up Pan" the now revived Discord said
"That's how you greet your big sister, right after she saved your life?" Pandora said as she folds her arms "Your manners still haven't changed."
"BIG SISTER? Look at you. You reverted to a younger age. It looks I'm the oldest sibling here."
"No matter my appearance, I'm still the older sibling."
"And it seems she still is an old blob." Discord thought "So what do you want Pan?"
"What? Can't I just come by for a visit to see how your doing?" she started to look all innocent.
Discord just stared at her with a blank expression of irritation.
"Okay, okay, I came by looking for a place and hoped you could spare a room for me; but it seems that you even have a place to rest either."
Discord gave a sly expression "I have plenty of room Pan, just let me move a few things out."
Minutes later in the throne room of Celestia, the doors to the room throw open revealing Pandora at the entrance.
"What is this? What do you want?" Celestia says as she puts herself on guard.
"Oh my, this is such a nice place" Pandora said "But this style of interior is so 1st gen."
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?" Celestia said sternly.
"Do I need to spell it out for you, I want you out of here honey."
"Give up my kingdom? Do you take me for a fool?"
"Oh no, I take him for a fool."
She points over Celestia's shoulder, Celestia gives a little glance and sees a familiar face that she saw not once but twice. "Hello Celestia."
The next morning, Pit was raring to go. "Okay, now that I know what my troop needs, I can start training them; and if that rainbow girl gets on my nerves again I'll make her do fifty laps around the camp" Pit said to himself to psych himself up. He marched towards the door, kicked it open, walked right out and said "This is going to be a great morning" to the shimmering night sky. "Wait, it's still nighttime?" Pit said "That's weird, I never get up before the sun." Suddenly the moon falls over the valley and the sun appears in its place "Ah, that's better... wait?" Pit stared confused at the sudden change, not just with the time of day, but with the way the world looks. The puffy white clouds are now sticky pink cotton candy, the waterfall falling to the earth is now made of chocolate, and the rainbows are now just ribbons with a tacky pattern on them.
Looking around some more, Pit found a gathering of angels talking to one another, Pit decides to join them.
"What's going on, what happened to this place?" Pit asked an angel.
The angel turns his head to glance at Pit "It seems like Discord has broken free again."
"Discord?" Pit started scratching his head.
"He's a fella that likes to cause chaos across Equestria, but Rainbow Dash and her friends stopped him last time."
"Yeah she did" said someone in the crowd "Can you help us again Rainbow Dash?"
"Of course I can" she said at the center of the crowd "I'll make sure Discord will learn his lesson once and for all."
She flies up into the air and as the group cheers her on, she flies off to a tree house on the earth. As she starts flying away Pit takes chase after her, "Hey wait" he said "I'm coming too."
Rainbow Dash turns her head around looking at the young angel running below "What? No way, I'm not going to let some pipsqueak slow me down." She starts to fly faster.
Pit does the same with his feet "I promised Lady Palutena to take care of the troop, and I'm not going to let one of my officers go into a battle without me."
"Don't worry, I dealt with him before, he's a push over."
"I'm still not going to take any chances" Pit said as he got to the edge of Cloudsdale.
Rainbow Dash stops and flies in front of Pit "Well it look like you can't come along, unless you know how to use those useless wings of yours" she starts to hackle as she flies away.
Pit grit his teeth in frustration "D... D... DO FIFTY LAPS AROUND THE CAMP!" but Rainbow Dash was just to far away to hear him.
"Grr... if only I could fl..." Pit stopped his sentence as his eyes started to widened "OH DUH, how could I forget."
Pit starts yelling into the sky "LADY PALUTENA I NEED YOUR HELP TO FLY", there was no answer.
"LADY PALUTENA, DISCORD IS CAUSING HAVOC AND I NEED YOUR HELP TO STOP HIM, PLEASE, LET ME FLY" Palutena still did not reply.
"... LADY PALUNTENA!" nothing but the wind replied.
"Why isn't she answering?" Pit said as he started to lose his cool "What am I going to do now?" He stared off into the distance at the changed world, trees floating, fields of grass are now checker patterned, and even the animals have changes. Rabbits as tall as giraffes, buffaloes dancing, and even pigs flying "Even pigs taunt me" he said in a shallow tone. "I have to do it, I have to fly" the angel coached himself as he made a fist pump "If a pig can do it then so can I." Pit took a few steps back and prepared himself, he spread his wings, he felt the wind on his feathers, he felt the cooling breeze on his face. He took a deep breath, charged forward, and jumped at the edge. "I'm doing it, I'm flying, I can't believe it" Pit said just before he started to fall like a rock.
"AARRGGHH, I WAS RIGHT, I REALLY CAN'T FLY, THE PIGS ARE FAR MORE SUPERIOR" Pit whined as he fell through the air.
"Twilight, this is Discord's doing isn't it?" Rainbow Dash said as she bursts through the window of the tree house.
Within the tree house was Twilight, wielding a staff with a sparkle at the top, Applejack, carrying an arm shaped like an apple, Rarity, holding a bow studded with jewels, Fluttershy, surrounded by two orbitars shaped like butterflies, and Spike, the dragon.
Twilight looked up at Rainbow Dash "I believe so, but unfortunately Lady Celestia has yet to communicate to me about the situation." she replied as she looks back at some papers she's holding "That's why we're going to try to sneak into the castle, get the Elements of Harmony and stop Discord; and now that you're here we can finally go over the plan to infiltrate the castle, Applejack could you get Pinkie?"
"Sure thing Twi" she said and starts walking towards an open door "HEY PINKIE, WERE GOING OVER THE PLAN" she yells.
PInkie is standing underneath a raining cotton candy rain cloud, drinking the chocolate rain drops it was pouring "I'M COMING" she yelled back. She picks up her cannon and was heading for the house until a blue haired woman, carrying a purple box that had gold tapestry lines over it, as well as it's edges, stopped her.
"OK" Twilight said "If Discord doesn't have the elements, then there's a good chance that this plan will work. Rarity, Applejack and myself will enter into the castle from the front, getting Discord's attention while Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy and Pinkie enters the back of the castle to look for the elements, they should be-"
"GOT THEM" Pinky said as she holds the box that the woman was holding.
"Got what?" said Twilight
"The elements" lifting up the box to show off.
"How did you get them so quickly?"
"One of the guards came by saying that Celestia sent them to deliver the elements to us." Pinkie replied as she placed the chest on the table.
"Really!" Twilight said in astonishment, she start to give a worried face "I guess Lady Celestia is really in trouble if she trusted a guard to carry them to us."
All of the girls gathered around the chest as Twilight opens the box. A bright purple light shines out of the box.
Falling back to the falling Pit, we see that he is about to hit the ground. "Alright, that little subplot that the story took should've given me an idea... SO WHY DIDN'T IT?" Pit yelled just before he hit the ground face flat. "Well at least I can move forward now" Pit mumbled into the ground. This wasn't the first time he made a crash landing, but still, he never could get used to these falls.
"Are you okay?"
"Of course, that little fall won't slow me dow..." Pit stopped in confusion and looked to see who just spoke up. In front of Pit was a young girl that was probably a few years younger then him. She was an angel with orange wings, purple-red hair, had a palm weapon, and was riding a scooter. "Yeah, I'm perfectly fine" Pit said as he was staggering to his feet.
"Why didn't you fly?"
Pit had just about had it with that question, after being made fun at by his soldier, seeing an adynaton come to life to be rubbed in his face, and having to fall a large drop from the lack of his default he just didn't care anymore. "I can't fly, okay. An angel commander that can't fly, alright." Pit was ready to be ridiculed, but the most unexpecting thing happened.
"REALLY! Neither can I" replied the girl with a smile on her face.
Pit was expecting anything but that. He stood there stunned, listening as the girl continued on.
"Everyone in my class knows how to fly but me and it's really irritating, especially when they make fun of you. By the way, my name's Scootaloo."
"Er... I'm Pit" he said as he tried to get himself back into gear "Um... tell me, have you seen an angel with rainbow hair fly by here?"
"Your looking for Rainbow Dash, too!" she exclaimed "I've been trying to find her so I can tell her that Discord's back."
Pit looks around himself to see the bizarre world "I'm pretty sure she knows, in fact she said she was going to take care of him and began heading off towards a town."
"Then she must be going to see Twilight, I'll go see her off" she said as she turns her scooter.
"Wait, could you take me with you" Pit asked.
Scootaloo looked at Pit for a moment, she was probably thinking about whether or not to help a stranger, but she eventually spoke up "Well okay, get on" she said as she jumped off.
Pit look at her a bit confused, but he does what he's was told "How do I ride this thing?"
Scootaloo jump on and locked her arms around Pit's waist, Pit was stuttering for a moment "Hold on" Scootaloo says with a grin and starts to flap her wings, giving them momentum on the scooter.
Pit was a wonky at first but he got used to the scooter in no time, "So are you a fan of Rainbow Dash?" asked Scootaloo.
"No, she's just one of my officers."
"Really, I would think she would be in charge of things, it's just she..." Scootaloo went on glamorizing Rainbow Dash. Pit began to tune her out. "What do all these people see in her?" he thought "She's rude, stubborn and egotistical; but she has people that count on her and she even has a fan. It just doesn't make any sense." Pit kept on steering and Scootaloo was directing him until they reached Twilight's tree house. "Hah, it literally is a tree house" said Pit. Scootaloo jumped off and opens the door of the tree's "Hey Rainbow Dash, I..." Scootaloo paused, she started to begin laughing. Pit walked through the door and saw what was so funny, apparently she was laughing at the girls. Oh, they were okay, nothing wrong with them; I mean, for a group of walking eggplants, they seemed okay.
"EGGPLANTS" Pit said in shock "What happened here."
The eggplanted Twilight looked at Pit with her now invisible eyes "Scootaloo, who is this guy?"
Scootaloo was still laughing on the floor, "Geez Scoots, you've been laughing since the last chapter, how long do you plan on keeping at it?" said Applejack.
Pit decided to speak up for himself "I'm Pit, servant of the Goddess Paluntena, and temporary commander for Lady Celestia's army."
"Commander! Then I suppose you also know him, Rainbow Dash" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, but he's no one special" she replied.
Pit looked over to the eggplant Rainbow Dash and begins joining with Scootaloo as they both laughed uncontrollably.
"This is no laughing matter" Twilight lashed.
"Don't worry" Pit responded, both angels calmed down "I've been an eggplant a bunch of times, you can return back to normal easily."
"Really, how?"
"You go to the hospital."
"This is the first time in Equestria history that this condition has happened, we don't have a cure."
"Umm, Lady Paluntena could cure you, but she's not answering me, can your goddess do it?"
"I don't know, and she's not responding to me either."
"Then we're in trouble."
"Wait, I think I know someone who can help us. We should go see Zecora, she helped us with odd diseases before, so why not see her now?"
"Okay, we'll go to Zecora's for a cura, where does she live?"
"She lives in the Everfree Forest, come on girls, let's go see her."
The girls began walking towards the door, but just when they took their first step, they started falling over and crashing into each other. "This really is your first time as an eggplant, huh?" Pit said "With a new body, it'll be like learning how to walk all over again. Tell ya what, I'll go see her and get a cure for you."
"We can't ask you to do that." Twilight responded
"I promise Lady Paluntena to take care of Celestia's army; as such, I need to show a good example for my subordinates to follow, which is to help the Goddess and her people."
"Do you know how to get there?"
"Uhh... could you show me Scootaloo?" said Pit, getting a nod in return from her.
"Then I guess we'll leave the rest to you two, be careful."
"Don't worry, its just a small errand" said Pit "Just don't bruise yourself till we get back."
Pit and Scootaloo get back on the scooter and started rolling on out to the Everfree Forest. "Are you sure you want to put everyone's fate in a boy you just met, darling?" Rarity asked
"No, but in this condition, I don't see a way for us to to save Equestria." Twilight admitted "Besides, he's a commander, he should be able to get to Zecora's place and back without any trouble."
"Great" Rainbow Dash moaned "were trusting our fate in a couple of chickens."
"So you were once a eggplant?" Scootaloo asked Pit as they road the scooter.
"Yup, and even a Tempura as well."
"WHAT?!?! HOW?!?!"
"Well the forces of darkness are a difficult bunch, and many of them have unique skills and powers."
"The forces of darkness?"
Pit explained to her who the forces of darkness were. He went on by telling her some of his fights that he went through; like fighting a lord of darkness, a two headed dog, and even a god of death. Pit went on about his tale which in turn dazzled Scootaoo. They eventually arrived to the Everfree Forest, but unfortunately Discord's shifting changed the trees of the forest into feather dusters. Even in this condition, the two ventured onward until they finally made it to Zecora's place. As they were getting off the scooter, Pit stared at the house; getting a witch doctor feeling from it. Scootaloo knocked on the door and in seconds the door opens revealing a colored skinned woman wearing an odd dress made of stripes that looked like a zebra pattern. "Huh, she looks pretty odd. Maybe she's a foreigner?" Pit wondered.
"Why if it isn't Scootaloo,..." spoke Zecora "...it's always nice seeing you." Pit starts to questioning his logic about Zecora being foreign or not, with the fact that she can make rhymes with his language.
Scootaloo replied to her with a smile "Hey Zecora, we need your help with something."
"Come on in, I'll see what I can do, but first tell me, who is that behind you?"
"Oh, his name's Pit, he's an angel that's going to help us beat Discord!" she said in excitement, flattering Pit.
Zecora take a sharp look at him "He seems like a fine young man." she then whispers to Scootaloo "Bet he's gotten most of your attention span" in a sly way.
Scootaloo starts blushing "It's nothing like that."
Zecora starts laughing and lets them into the hut. Scootaloo tells Zecora about what happened to Twilight and the gang. When she was finished, Zecora starts looking through the books she had with her. "I can help you with the greatest of ease,..." Pit and Scootaloo's faces started to brighten up, but started to sink when she turned to them and pointed to a picture in a book "...but first, I need you to get some of these."
Pit and Scootaloo got closer looking at the image. It was an image of what appears to look like an egg with three lines on both sides coming out of it with two longer lines coming out from the top. "What is it?" asked Pit.
"A beetle, is what I need. With this, the potion will succeed." The angels looked at each other, then back at Zecora, she knew what they were going to ask. "You can find them in the land of the frog, look for them in Froggy Bottom Bog."
"Ok, we'll get them in no time." said Pit. Receiving an empty box from Zecora (used to keep the bugs in), Pit and Scootaloo left the hut and started heading to the swamp.
About ten minutes later, the two angels had reached a swamp of Froggy Bottom. Because of Discord's magic, the land was changed; from mucky water to carbonated soda. "Alright, lets start looking Scootaloo" Pit stated before they both started looking for those little buggers. Scootaloo was a real pro at this, she was able to catch the beetles easily. For Pit, that was a different story. He just couldn't get the jump on any of them. They would always jump away before Pit had a chance to strike. After a few attempts, he started to lose his temper and decided to chase after one instead of sneaking up on them. He ran into the lake, getting close to his target and he almost got it too, but a sudden brown rock, came out of the water and made him trip right into the soda. Pit sat up from his fall and looked over to see what he tripped over and saw it starting to move around before it began to raise. As it rose up, the rock revealed itself to be a giant head with an extremely long neck. Three more heads exactly like it, started to also to rise out of the lake, showing that all of them are connected at the base with a large scaly body. The heads stared at Pit and each of them gave a war cry.
The other heads looked at the fourth head in a manner of disappointment for ruining their threat. Scootaloo looks over to the cries of the creature and sees Pit running from it before it gave chase.
"WHAT IS THAT THING?" Pit yelled in terror.
"IT'S A HYDRA!" Scootaloo yelled back in fear "GET OUT OF THERE!"
"Did she just say Hydra? I could've sworn she said Hewd... WAIT!!!" Pit got out his sword "Almost three full chapters, about time I used this." Pit turned his body and started shooting bullets at one of the creature's heads, which seemed to do no effect. He decided to leap right at the head's neck and was able to sliced it off. Pit was feeling pretty slick and turned to face the creature "Alright, one head down five more to go... FIVE!?!?!" The creature started to grow two heads in place of the one that was just cut off. Pit, once again, started to run in terror "Crap crap crap crap crap." The Hydra's heads were snapping their jaws at Pit, but he kept on dodging everyone of them. Eventually, one of the heads bit one of the other heads' neck. The head that was bitten started to tear up, the head that bit it was feeling guilty, and the other three were laughing at it. Pit watched as these events went down and got an idea. "SCOOTALOO, SHOOT THE HEADS THAT ARE LOOKING AWAY FROM YOU."
"WHAT?!?!" she replied at ridiculous statement.
"TRUST ME." she staggered for a moment, but soon starts shooting shot from her palm weapon at the heads that were looking away. The heads turned over giving a glare at her, but another hit nicked the back of their heads. Pit was also hitting them with their heads turned; making the head that was shot focused him. The situation started to become more like a game of monkey in the middle with each head stretching itself to the person that recently hit them. The heads were crossing each others paths and ultimatly tied their necks up. The creature eventually fell over as it tried to pull itself together. Pit bolted towards land and Scootaloo grabs the box of beetles. They both jumped on the scooter and hightailed it out of there.
"That was awesome," the astounded Scootaloo said "we took down a Hydra."
"A real pushover." Pit agreed while they drove into the feather duster forest with their important ingredient.
At Twilight's tree house, the girls were all sitting around in their current eggplant form; talking with one another. "So tell me Pinkie," Twilight asked "this guard that gave you the box, what did she look like?"
"Well, she had long wild blue hair, a bizarre revealing dress, and I think she's a demigod; just like you Twilight" Pinkie replied.
Twilight started to ponder "What did she say when she gave you the box?"
"She just asked 'where does Twilight lives?'. I was going to bring her in with me but she declined and just gave me the box saying 'the Elements of Harmony are in here, give it straight to her', then she just flew away."
"Really." she said in an intriguing tone "It doesn't seem like it was Discord in disguise. He knows where I live, he wouldn't ask for directions. We're probably dealing with someone new that is most likely working with Discord. Very few demigods can fly, so maybe were dealing with another god entirely, but what would she get out o... *knock* *knock*.
The girls looked over at the closed door waiting for another response. "...oh right, eggplants don't have hands." said a familiar voice. Pit enters into the house with the potion while Scootaloo trailed right behind him.
"Your back!" Twilight said, her hopes rising "Did you get a cure?" Pit lifts up the bottle and the girls start yammering on how great it will be to get back to normal. Pit goes up to a eggplant and sprinkles a bit of the potion on her. She begins transforming into an older girl with dark blue hair and streaks of mild purple and bright pink. She was wearing bright purple clothing in a style that just ringed 'wizard', it rang even louder with the bright blue staff she was holding (it even had a shimmering star at the top of it). "Glad to see that your okay, I'm Twilight Sparkle."
"I told you not to worry, and I'm Pit" he said as he went to the next eggplant down the line.
He sprinkled the water on the next one and it turned into a girl that had long blond hair tied up at the end, topped off with a brown cap. She was wearing a orange skirt dress that seemed to be a little bit dirty; in fact, he skin seemed to be covered in dirt as well. She was also holding a bizarre arm weapon, it looked like a giant apple and seemed a bit old, an heirloom maybe? "Thank ya kindly, Applejack" she said as she tipped her hat.
"Your welcome, Pit" he said as he gave a nod.
Pit's next volunteer was a bit timid at getting cured. She had long bright pink hair that would seem like a hassle to take care of. She was wearing whitish robe that seemed to have a creamy yellow tone on it, maybe it was caused by her creamy yellow wings (which then made Pit wonder, 'wear was she during practice the other day?'). Lastly, she had orbitars shaped like butterflies floating around her. "Th-th-thank you, I'm Fluttershy" she said, as her voice drifted away.
"Don't mention it, I'm Pit" he said feeling guilty for whatever he did to make her so shy.
Next, Pit got an odd one, it wasn't human, it wasn't even an angel, it was... a dragon. Pit never really seen a dragon before, but he had seen creatures that could be related to one. He had purple scales and a green belly, those were his main features, well... other then the fact that he was short, REALLY short, he seemed to reach about knee high to Pit. "Thanks, Spike" he said a he looked up.
"No problem, Pit" he said as he looked down.
Following him was someone that could be best described as a model. Her hair was curled and was also purple colored. She was wearing a white dress that looked elaborate and was somewhat trying to state that it was meant to be worn by a goddess. She was also holding a bow weapon with diamonds embedded into it (possibly to make it more fancy). "Thank you darling, you may call me Rarity" she said in an aristocratic way.
"Just decided to lend a hand, and you may call me Pit" he told in a patrician like way.
After Rarity, the next person came at a bit of a surprise to him. She had dark pink poofy hair and a bright pink dress that had an odd bottom. In place of a skirt were pant legs that stopped short, above her ankle. She seemed as though she was a walking 'candy cane' with all that pink on her, but her weapon of choice (a cannon with balloons for ammo) made her stand out even more, in a bizarre way. "It's great to have my old body back, I'm Pinkie Pie" she said gleefully.
"Happy to help, I'm Pit" he said, cracking a smile.
The last one, Pit knew well. A rainbow short-haired girl, with a white tunic that had a bright blue tone cast by the color of her wings. As she was looking at her restored body, she was wearing her claws with rainbow colored talons. She looked at Pit with a smile, but quickly shifted her expression into one that was irritated. She turned her head to the side "took you long enough."
"Your welcome" Pit replied with a snooty face as well.
"Okay guys" Twilight spoke up "now that we got our bodies back, lets go with the plan of obtaining the Elements of Harmony and defeating Discord."
"Elements of Harmony?" Pit asked "Are those sacred treasures or something?"
"Yes they are, they will help us at defeating Discord."
After going out of his way to get a cure and fighting a monster, Pit was feeling pretty upbeat and felt he could take anything on. Against his better judgement, he decided to try and change the plan "You know, I had to fight a goddess named Medusa with my own sacred treasures one time. She eventually returned, and I was able to beat her without the usage of those sacred treasures that time around."
"What are you getting at?" Twilight said, knowing full well on where he was going with this; she was just hoping he wasn't suggesting what she was thinking.
"I'm saying, even without your elements I'm pretty sure that you can take Discord on and win."
"What?!?!" Twilight said in shock as her hope proved fruitless "Discord's magic is powerful and we need the elements to seal him up again."
"Well I'm sure you've gotten stronger since the last time you met him."
"Pit's right" Rainbow Dash said as she started to enter the conversation "We've gotten plenty stronger since last time, besides I really want to take him down now."
Twilight was about to protest but a soft voice was heard, "Our friendship has gotten stronger as well" Fluttershy added.
"And we even have an advantage" Applejack announced "Discord had us turned into eggplants, and I'recken he still thinks we still are."
Twilight was losing them, so she... "Plus" said Rarity "you're not even positive that Discord hasn't found the elements."
"So why sidetrack when we can take Discord down now?" Pinkie Pie ended it.
Twilight was definitely talked into a corner, having all her friends siding with Pit, even Pit felt cornered by the fact that he turned the tables; not by himself, but by the help of Twilight's friends. Twilight gave up and agreed to enter the castle to take Discord out. She tells everyone to head outside while she goes and brings her air balloon outside. Spike helped get a fire going for the balloon and it began to inflate. Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie Pie got into the basket while Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash were given ropes to help them drag the balloon through the air. Pit was given a rope as well, but once he confessed that he couldn't fly, the girls accepted his reasoning and let him in into the basket; along with another traveler. "Scootaloo" Twilight asked curiously "what are you doing?"
"What does it look like, I'm coming with you" she said, but she was then lifted out of the basket by Applejack.
"Sorry sweetie, but it's too dangerous" Applejack said.
"Oh, come on" she sternly said "I helped so far, so why can't I help now?"
"We just don't want you to get hurt" said Twilight.
Scootaloo looked at Pit with an expression that pleaded for support, Pit walked over to her saying "Don't worry Scootaloo, we'll be alright and be back here before you know it" she gave a disappointed look towards the ground as Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy began to fly away with the balloon.
The gang finally made it to the castle; they flown at a low altitude to avoid being spotted as they reached the entrance of the fortress. Everyone was preparing themselves until Twilight spoke up "Alright, this is going to be a sneak attack performance we'll be doing on Discord. I want us to stay in a group and to stay silent as we make our way through the castle." Everyone agreed to the statement and Twilight lead them into the castle.
Inside the castle was a bizarre world. The outside looked just like what you expect from a castle (stone structures, maple wooden doors, ect.), but the inside, it was simple and plain with a cold presents in the air. There were structures that were made to form primitive shapes, like squares and triangles; no curving surfaces, just sharp edges. Not only were the shapes simple, but the colors, too. They didn't blend with one another, they didn't gradient with each other, they were just one color and one color only on each surface. It felt like walking into a computer program without any textures within it. "I know that Discord is a little bit off" Rarity whispered to the others "but, he really needs a woman's touch in decorating". As they moved through rooms, they reached what was most likely the throne room. It was a long room that had rectangular columns on its sides and had picture frames between each of them. The pictures weren't anything special, just as bizarre as anything else around here. One of them actually caught Applejack's eye, it was a picture of a corn on a cob being served for dinner, she just stared at the picture with great focus as the others made it to the end of the room. At the end, there was a chair that was meant for the master of the castle to sit in, Rarity was getting antsy as she saw the chair and just had to sit in it "I feel so royal" she said with glee.
"Theirs nothing here?" Pit said out loud.
"That's what it seems, but castles are known to have many hidden passages to help you move forward" Twilight replied, but before she could do anything, the chair to the throne (along with Rarity) vanished.
Everyone started to freakout "Settle down, guys" Twilight reassured them "this is probably another one of Discords tricks, lets just stay together and find Rarity."
"I think I found that their secret passage yer talking about Twi" Applejack said as she still gazed at the portrait before she started to walk backwards.
"You did, where?"
"I saw this in a video game once" Applejack then started running towards the picture and jumps into the frame leaving small ripples on the picture.
"What happened?" the timid Fluttershy asked.
"She went into the picture" Rainbow Dash said "and if she can do it..." she starts to fly back and charges toward the frame "then so can I."
*BAM!*
Rainbow Dash hits the picture face flat, she didn't go through it. She starts to slide down against the picture until she hits the floor. "What happened?" the dazed angel said "She went through it, so why can't I?" She picks up and throws the picture aside and starts pushing against the wall "Did she literally went through the picture?" She pushes and suddenly falls forward, fazing through the wall.
"AAHHH!!!" Everyone went as another one of their friends disappears. Pit runs to the wall and pushes at it, but the wall was solid and showed no sign of budging. "It's solid, I can't get through it" Pit says as he starts pounding on the wall. Fluttershy was starting to get scared, she felt like she was being surrounded by fears that wanted to terrorize her. She started to walk backwards by this emotion and was able to find support as her back laid against the wall. Pushing up against it caused the wall to rotate, flinging her into a new room as she shrieked.
The other three looked towards her scream and sees her entering into another room before the wall seals itself shut, blocking the group from her. Pit ran up and proceeded with what he did just a moment ago, pushing and pounding the wall, but that too didn't make a form of budging. Suddenly a trap door opens below Pit's feet, dropping him through to a new location before the door closes itself, blocking from any others to follow.
Twilight catches her falling head into her palm, rubbing her index finger and thumb along her nasal canal in frustration. She wanted everyone to stay together in a group, but now everyone was gone. She suddenly realized Pinkie Pie was still there, she glaces over to see her standing with a smile. She then suddenly disappears from sight in a flash, leaving only a *ting* of what would probably be a tiny bell ring. Twilight just roles her eyes with a groan, and continues her nose rubbing.
After a few moments of admitting the situation that she's in, she lifts up her head and continues to proceed what she was planning on doing before Rarity's vanish. She walks up to the wall and starts pushing on it "Lady Celestia's secret passage should be somewhere around here" she kept on pushing but she was getting nowhere. "Did Discord change this passage along with the castle?" she thought, but lucked out as she was able to push part of the wall, causing a passage to form in the wall. "YES!" she cried in her mind. As she begins running down the new route, she starts hoping that her friends are okay and that they'll meet up. Unfortunately, each one of them are going to have to face a challenge as they make their own way through the castle.
Rarity flashes into a room and jumps up in shock at her sudden transportation. Looking at her surroundings, she finds herself at the end of a hallway with no doors at her end. She soon started to connect two and two together and made the judgement that she was transported here by sitting in the chair. She tried to transport back by sitting in the seat again, but nothing happened. "Well, I guess I only have one way to go" she admitted and begins walking down the hall.
Fluttershy starts pounding on the rotating wall, hoping to get back to her friends, but it won't budge. "Oh no," she panicked "What am I gonna do?" She turns around, looking at her bland, harmless path. The trembling angel gulps and start tip-toeing her way forward through the horrifying path.
Rainbow Dash rolls forward from the fake wall. "Hah, I knew I could get through, come on guys~" she slowed down her speech when she looked behind her to see the wall still there. "WHAT?" she starts pushing on the wall, it was solid, "Someones messing around with me, right Applejack?" she looks around hoping to catch AJ trying to pull a prank on her, but no one was there, only a stair case. "She's not here? She wouldn't leave us to go on ahead, so did she disappear to someplace else?" she said out loud "Well in any case, I should probably move forward" and shoots like a rocket, as she literally flies up the stares.
Applejack was tapping her foot while she was staring at the picture frame that she came out of. The frame's image was different from the one she went in, this one had the corn on the cob, but it was eaten. "What's taking them so long" she said in irritation. She walks up and puts her hand on the image, it had a smooth feel to it "wha, it's solid!" Realizing that their was no way back; she shrugged, turned, and started moving forward.
Pit was falling through the hole until he eventually hit the ground. "OW..., great job Pit" he lectured himself "out of all the traps you could get yourself into, you had to have fallen into a pit. WAY TO LIVE UP TO YOUR NAME!" Pit got up and looked around himself, seeing where he landed. He was in a dim lit room with doors for him to proceed through "At least I found a way forward. I hate to leave the girls behind, but I'm pretty much stuck here" he reassured himself and started to enter the next room, hoping to find a way out.
Rarity was making her way through the hall until she was seeing something moving in the distance. "What on Earth is that" she said squinting at it. It was swaying left to right in the air, and it was heading towards her. It appeared to have two blue eyes, half open, a green mouth with big lips and sharp teeth, and the biggest nose she had ever seen. Rarity was a bit freaked out by this weird creature, but she tries to hide her fear (not to insult the thing) and starts walking up to it. "Excuse me good sir, but could you tell me where I could find the lord of this castle?" she said in a polite manner, the creature just floated there gazing at her "I'm really sorry to intrude, but I must find Discord. Could you be a lamb and help me out?" The creature stuck its tongue out, the tongue stretched far, just missing the dodging Rarity. "How rude" she scolded "sticking your tongue out is bad enough, but trying to lick me, that's down right despicable." The creature started to shoot projectiles from its eyes, Rarity ducked avoiding it and got an arrow ready on her bow. "You cad" she preached as she started to shoot a variety of arrows at it. The creature splits itself into four separate parts; two eyes, one mouth, and one Marx brother. The eyes and mouth were shooting orbs out of their eyes/mouth, leaving Rarity to dodge them by shifting from side to side. Suddenly that big nose started to inhale in an odd way and sneezes out two bombs towards Rarity. "EIWUG!" she let out and hit the bombs back at the creatures, blowing them up in the process. "What a rude, disgusting creature." she said out loud "I hope the others don't have to deal with something like that."
Fluttershy was walking (it that's what you want to call it) from room to room searching for her friends. She entered a decent sized room holding someone inside, their back was turned towards her, but she saw that the person was wearing a purple robe and was holding a stick (perhaps a staff). Fluttershy's face was starting to lighten up as she approach the figure "Twilight, oh I'm so happy I found you" she said in relief, but that shine she had started to fade away. The figure turned and stared at her with solid yellow eyes that had a red glow around them. Its face looked like a skull, the actual bony types you would see from a skeleton, but this one seemed to have a red streak-backed hair on its top. Lastly, the staff it was holding was in fact a big sickle that didn't have a smooth edge on the inside or outside. Fluttershy's legs were wobbling in fear as she saw the creature giving her the most evil of looks. The creature decides to make the first move, by freaking out. It makes a piercing scream as it jumps around while having its hair extended out. As the reaper screams, Fluttershy gives a scream of her own. She crosses her arms over her chest, closes her eyes, bends her knees and shoots her orbitiars. The bullets hit the reaper, blowing it up, leaving only a puff of smoke. She stays in that scared position for a few moments until she peeks open her eyes to see what happened. She starts to calm down as she looks around to see where the reaper went "I guess he was scared of me" the unknowing angel said as she continued her slow pace forward.
Pinkie Pie was skipping through the rooms of the castle searching for her friends. "TWIIILLLLLIIIIIGHT! PIIIIIIIIT! WHERE AAAAARRRRREEEE YOU GUUUUUYYYYYSSSSSS!" her voice echoed through the halls. She looks into a room "nope" she checks another room "nope" she looks into another room "Hey, have you seen a few people around here?" She spoke to a creature that was wearing... a hula skirt? It had pom-poms that seemed to have a eyeball in the center, a blue-purple feather, and a mask on with a red and apricot swirl on it. It starts to dance, chanting and shaking its pom-poms. Pinkie pie gives a grin and joins in with the creature's dancing rave.
Pit was sliding on the wall in a stealth like mode, peaking at the corner edges to see what's to come. He eventually found someone within one of the rooms, it was an old man with a white beard floating in the air. His wardrobe was something else though, it looked like a suit meant for a ruler but it had patches all over it that made it impossible to identify what the original suit looked like. He had one glove on while his other arm had a long sleeve, one shoe on while he had a longer legging on his other leg, and was playing with a harp. Pit psyched himself up as he entered the room "You must be Discord."
The old man looked at him, not even fazed by the sudden appearance of the angel. "Oh no no no, you want 'Dis cord' *Pling*" he plucked one of the cords to the harp.
"...was that a joke? Cause it was a little bit... shallow."
"Yes, it's really the type of humor that my sister would make, I really can't understand her humor. Anyway, who and what are you doing here?"
Pit starts making various types of poses, "I'm Pit, servant to the Goddess Palutena, and I'm here to stop your rain of chaos upon the people of Equestria."
Discord wasn't impressed, instead he was rubbing his head "Palutena, Palutena" he was murmuring "Oh yes, the goddess of light, correct?" Pit confirms it, leading Discord to continue "I know her quite well. She fights of the forces of darkness in order to protect humanity, whenever she feel like it."
"Lady Palutena helps those who asks for her help" Pit lashed out him.
"Please" Discord said in disgust "She never helps others. She usually doesn't respond to them or she usually gets someone else to do it for her."
"NO SHE DOESN'T!" Pit yelled in frustration "She helps protect humanity, like a mother to her child."
"Only to gain something out of it. She's known for denying pleads from others if she can't profit from it, shes even known to deny her own angel's pleads."
Pit's pupils shrank at that comment, he suddenly remembered a moment that happened earlier that day. "LADY PALUTENA, DISCORD IS CAUSING HAVOC AND I NEED YOUR HELP TO STOP HIM, PLEASE LET ME FLY. Why isn't she answering?" Pit was starting to break down, shaking at how true the statement was. "Sh-she... she wouldn't do that" he tried to lie to Discord and himself.
Discord flew up to him "You know what I think? I think you need to start doing things that you want to do, and stop following what others want you to do."
Discord then placed a finger on Pit's forehead. Pit's body started to change colors, making his skin turn into a more pale color. Pit just stared at the ground, admitting defeat and turns around walking out the door "Your right, I should."
Applejack was now walking in a hall, feeling a bit uncomfortable. The room had standing knight armors on both sides, they were dark blue, made of copper, and seemed like they were honoring her by making a pose like a guard's. Applejack never really liked being honored like a princess, so it made her feel a bit unease. *clank!* Applejack stopped and searched for what made the sudden clanking sound, nothing seemed off to her. Giving a confused look, she continues walking down the hall. *CLANK!* She turns around more quickly this time but still sees nothing out of the ordinary. "WHO'S THERE? SHOW YOURSELF!" she yells down the hall, but still nothing responded. She decides to play it smart and started to walk backwards, hoping to catch whatever was making the sound in action *CLANK!* and she did. One of the armor suits jumped towards her, Applejack was setting her self up for the worst by getting her apple-arm weapon ready. "Leave me alone, this is your only warning" she focus on the head of the armor, their was a red eye looking at her through the slits of the helmet. The armor suddenly spinned towards her, bashing her back a bit, "I warned ya" she then punched the suit with her arm, but it only made her weapon bounce back. The monster once again spinned at her, giving a bruise in the process. As she fell back, she could've sworn that she saw a purple flash coming from the creature. She guarded one more time and waited for the monster to attack again and sure enough, it rotated at her again. She saw that flash again and realized that the back of the armor was missing and was revealing the back of the creature. Catching the creature spinning towards her again, she dodged around it and saw the weak spot. With her strongest punch, she hit the creature with her weapon; knocking the creature over and it vanished into a puff of purple smoke, armor and all. "That little varmint" she said as she rubbed her bruise.
Pinkie Pie was still dancing with the mumboing creature, but as much fun as it was, she had to find her friends. "I'm sorry, but I need to go now. It was fun hanging out with you, though." Pinkie said to the party animal. She walked towards the door, but the creature jumped in front of her path. "You still want to dance with me?" she was surprised and began to give it some thought. "This guy is really fun to be around with. Maybe I should stay a little bit longer?" she shook her head "No, I need to find my friends. We can dance later." she then once tries for the door again, but the creature gets in her way again. "I said no, so let me through" she starts pushing it aside, but it wouldn't move. She takes out her cannon and aims it at the monster "let me THROUGH!" blasting her balloon cannon at it, making the creature to dissipate into a purple cloud. "My friends need my help" saying to herself while moving forward "I should be more persistent, just like Rainbow Dash."
"I GIVE UP" Rainbow Dash yells, falling on the stairs she was climbing. She looks up and it just kept on going, she then lays as flat as she could on the stairs, resting for a bit. Maybe Pit's right, maybe I do over pace myself? thinking to herself, she then starts sliding down the stairs and hits the bottom floor. Her eyes open up in confusion "What? I've been flying up these stairs for hours and I hit the bottom in less then five seconds?" She looks up at the stairs and starts flying up it again, but this time she looks at the bottom of the stairs, and at a curtain point she was not proceeding. "This makes no sense" she lands on the stairs and continues to look at the bottom floor. She starts walking up the stairs, she still was not proceeding any farther from it. Dash stopped and ponders on what she could do "I know I'm climbing up steps. Hmm... I wonder." She eventually decides to take a feather from her wing and places it on the step beside her. She then starts walking upwards, while staring at the feather getting farther away from her. The room starts to wave about as she continued her accent. "The room can keep me from moving any further,..." she looked up then back at the feather "...but if I'm in two places at once." When the feather hit the bottom floor, the room flashed; Rainbow Dash found herself at the top of the stairs, revealing with a door in front of her. She smiles and throws a fist into the air with a jump and a spin in the process "you can't keep me down" she happily said as she enters the next room.
Twilight was making her way through the rooms in hope of finding her friends, unfortunately she finds a fiend instead. "Is that... an Erinus?" she said out loud, making the monster to look at her. The Erinus had a purple-blue robe on with purple-pink edges and had a blue eye that stared at Twilight. "What's a member of the 'Forces of Darkness' doing here?" the creature lifted up his hands and shot some kind of spell towards Twilight. She responds by shooting a spell of her own, nulling each spell out "You'll have to do better then that" she said as she shoots another spell at it. It splits the monster in half. Twilight was feeling pretty up beat for handling that situation easily "You have no right being here" telling the creature as she past by it. "Still... I guess I did went a bit over board on it" she starts to think at why she had to defeat it so quickly "What was the reason again? They're dangerous because... because... what was it?. Suddenly she gets a scratch and kick on her back. She falls down on a knee and looks behind her to seeing the Erinus floating in the air, and having it's legs dancing next to it. "They're creatures of revenge!" she remembered as the legs began to kick at her again. She rolls to the side and swipes the planted leg of the creature, causing it to fall. She aims and destroys the flying torso with a spell before it got a chance to attack, giving time for the legs to get back up. The legs started to charge at her and sense she had a long staff and given the opportunity, she did what every girl would do in this situation of defending herself,...
...she strikes him in the groin.
The creature fell over in pain and Twilight did a mercy kill on it with a spell, poofing it into purple smoke. She looks onwards toward the next room "it won't be long now."
The front doors to the castle opens and Pit is seen walking out of it, looking deadpanned and pale from the lack of loyalty. He was greeted by someone at the front door. "Scootaloo? What are you doing here?"
Scootaloo was indeed in front of him, out-of-breath and sweating from riding her scooter all the way to the castle "*pant* *pant* You weren't going to *pant* leave me behind *pant* so easily."
Pit was surprise by her determination, but it didn't inspire him do the same. "Well if you want to help them out, they're inside."
"What! You didn't defeated Discord yet? Then why are you out here?"
Pit starts walking down the hill, passing Scootaloo "I'm not going to help anymore."
Scootaloo's pupils shrunk in her open wide eyes "WHAT?!?!"
"I'm tired of doing thing for others, I'm only going to do things that are going to help me."
"You're going to abandoned a mission your goddess wants you to do? Your just going to leave us during our time of need?" Pit didn't answer and just kept on walking, but a sudden pull around his waist stops him in his tracks. Scootaloo, holding Pit like she would on the scooter, was starting to tear up "Please don't leave us. You always kept on going, never losing hope, always believing that things would work out in the end." Pit closed his eyes, tilting his head down to listen to her words. She continues and lays her head on him "You showed me that even a flightless angel can do so much. You help me at facing off danger. You gave me faith that things would be okay" she rubs her face into his back with tears before she mumbles through his tunic "You're my Guardian Angel."
Pit was silent for what seemed like minutes until he broke the silence. He takes a deep breath, feeling the wind blowing at him. He lifted his head and spread his wings, feeling the air lifting his spirits. His pale tone started to fade away, being overtaken by his original color. "Come on Scootaloo" he said in a calm voice while glancing at her. She peeks up with tearful eyes "lets go help them out" he said with a smile. She stops her tears by rubbing her eyes with her arm and gives an approving smile. Pit extend his hand out to her, and she responds by grabbing it with her own. He leads her into the castle and a bell from a tower can be heard, from miles away.
Twilight, making her way through the castle, had enter into a crossroad. To the left of her was a hall that branched out into more hallways, the same can be said about the right, but in front of her was a large french-door archway. She was mentally preparing herself while she stared at the door. No doubt Discord is behind this door she told herself I just wish my friends were here to back me...
"TWILIGHT" a blaring voice said, scaring Twilight in the process. The voice caught the attention of four other ears, but let's stay on the current moment at hand. The voice that scared Twilight was the energetic Pinkie Pie, who proceeded her thrill by hugging Twilight. "I'm so happy I found you" Pinkie said with a smile, she suddenly gave a serious look to her "don't you go vanishing on me like that again, young lady."
"I'm happy t-to see you too, Pi-Pinkie" the hug-strangled Twilight said. Those four other ears revealed themselves by entering the hallway Twilight was in from the ends of the hallway, it was Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash. "There you all are!" she said in relief "Let me guess, you heard Pinkie Pie and went towards the sound." Everyone nodded, Twilight broke the hug given to her by Pinkie and straitens herself up once again. "Now that your all hear, I feel much more confident about moving on ahead."
"Shouldn't we wait for Pit?" Rarity said
"I'm sure he'll meet up with us sooner or later." Twilight answered "But right now, we need to stop Discord before he causes any more problems." She turns towards the doors and opens it slightly to peek inside.
The room was a pretty decent size, like a small ballroom or even a dance floor with windows on on the left and right sides of the room. At the end of the room, Discord was arguing with a new face to Twilight; but not to Pinkie. He was arguing with Pandora while they kept pointing to a map on the table in front of them. "No, I think sugar would be more appropriate for the Frozen Nurth" said Discord.
"Sugar? You must be joking" Pandora said, ashamed at her brother "We're trying to cause havoc to the people; not trying to give them a tasty treat. Come on think about it, ash starts falling from the sky, the people will be sneezing for years."
"True, but what if they go to the Feather-Duster Forest, you wanted so badly, and decides to swift away the ashes with the trees?"
"Ashes would be falling everywhere, they could never clean it all up."
"I still think a Peppermint Forest would've be better."
Pandora snapped "I AM NOT GOING TO HAVE AN ASSOCIATION TO THAT BOARD GAME!!!! You got your 'soda fountain' and your rainbows pouring out skittles. What are you planning on making this world into, the 'Thirstquencher Empire'?"
"I was think of making it into Candy La..." Pan stops Discord's sentence by grabing his goatee and dragging him to her face.
"I TOLD YOU, I WILL NOT HAVE ANY REFERENCES TO-"
"CANDY LAND!!!!!^w^"
The two gods turned their heads to see that it was Pinkie Pie that made the outburst. Her friends were standing by and stared down the two siblings. Pandora started to give a deadpan look at them while Discord was giving an irritated look at Pandora. "Pan" Discord said in a calm but irritated voice "Why are they here?" Pandora shifted her eyes up, looking at her eyebrows, then turned to her brother.
"I don't know?" putting on a fake smile "They looked defeated when I finished them."
This time, Discord lost his temper "YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING AT ALL!"
"Now that's not true, I sent the last of my minions to deal with them and I even put a spell on one as well."
Discord face-palmed "When will learn to do things yourself."
Twilight spoke up in a fierce voice "Where's Lady Celestia?"
Discord slid his hand off his face "Please Twilight, there's no need for that tone."
"That's right" Pandora agreed "We just decided to trade domains with her, so there's no reason for you to lash out at us."
Twilight pointed the staff of her's at the two "You will bring her back and return the kingdom back to it's original form."
"My, she's quite demanding..." Pandora said, getting a glare from Discord as if he was saying 'If you confronted her like you said you would, you would've known that'. "...I think she needs to learn a lesson."
Discord got up "It looks like we have to clean up a mess that you made again" he said before he vanished. Pandora got up to summon bombs and threw them at the girls. The group jumped every-which-way, avoiding the bombs as the exploded.
Twilight was getting up from her fall when Discord made his appearance in front of her, giving a mocking look at her. She replied by shooting a spell at him. Discord simply snapped his fingers and turned the spell into a cotton ball, he struck back with a lightning bolt coming from his palm. Applejack got in front of Twilight and blocked the bolt with her weapon.
Rarity, who was thrown to the other side of the room, was facing Pandora. Pandora was shooting heart shaped bullets at Rarity and also kept dogging Rainbow Dash's swift attacks by vanishing.
"Your just as bad at aiming as you are with your choice in attire" Pandora mocked Rarity.
Rarity stopped shooting and sassed back at her "You did not just insult my cloths!" Rainbow Dash froze in fear, knowing that Rarity was boiling up. "I understand you being jealous, mainly because you're wearing such a skimpy outfit; but that doesn't mean you can insult my attire."
Pandora grit her teeth "Obviously you don't know anything about using natural beauty to your style. I should've guessed by the amount of cloth you have over you."
Rarity gave a gasp "How dare you. A proper lady does not let beauty to be her body alone. She needs to have elegant clothing to help enhance her beauty."
"I can see that. You have so much clothing on that it hardly makes any enhancement on that ugly figure of yours. You obviously don't know anything about fashion."
Rarity was about to erupt "Fashion?" she take a arrow out and pulls it back on her bow "I AM FASHION!!!"
She shoots the arrow with great force and hits Pandora. Pandora falls down saying "You got me."
Discord stops fighting and looks at his sister. He runs up to her to kneel down and lifts up her head onto his lap "You monsters! How could you do this to my sister!" He cried with an overreacting voice. "She had problems, but she didn't deserve death."
He was hamming it up as the others gathered together and watched his performance. Some were wondering if they should feel sorry, others were finding his performance deplorable, the rest on the other hand were baffled that the two were siblings. This sad scene quickly changed...
The faking Pandora quickly got up and both her and her brother shot their bullets at the girls "Just kidding."
As the shots were flying towards the girls, another amount of shots come from behind the girls, canceling out the bullets all together. Looking back, the girls saw two angels standing at the entrance of the door, pointing their weapon at the two gods. The girls were thrilled to see that their friend was okay, not noticing one goddess' hair flying around in rage while glaring at the white-winged angel "YOU!"
Pit looked over to the goddess "YOU!... who are you?"
Pandora's hair was now fully flying. She looked like a human sized torch; her hair being the fire. "The very nerve you have for saying that. HOW COULD YOU FORGET ME? YOU FEATHER BRAINED CHICKEN!!!"
Pit's mind flashed like a bolt of lightning after that outburst. The burning blue hair, the sassy voice, the suppressed rage that she just let out "It can't be... Pa... Pandora?"
She started to settle down a little "What gave me away? It looks like you were lazy too, Discord~" she simmered down to witness another god getting angry. Pandora's rage quickly changed to fear when she saw her brother's rage rising. She knew this rage, this is the type of rage she has seen from her brother before. It's the type of rage where something doesn't go as planned.
"Why are you here?" Discord said with a twitching eye "Weren't you going to follow what you want to do?"
"I am" Pit responded proudly "I'm not here because Lady Palutena wants me to help, I'm not even here to save Lady Celestia. I'm here because I want to protect this society and the people that live within." Pit then starts making poses "And in the name of all of the people that live in this world, I. WILL. STOP. YOUR. TYRANNY!!!!" Pit makes one final pose and all of the girls make a striking pose of their own.
Discord was now losing his temper, shaking the castle around him with tremors. "I hate it when he's like this." Pandora says in fear as she flies towards the nearest window out of the castle.
Discord was growing into a giant, and growing his body parts into many different parts that look inhuman. First, his body stretched out long and skinny with dark brown fur. His right arm turned into a lion's arm, his left, an eagle claw. His left leg turned into a goat's leg and the right became a lizard's leg. He grew horns of a deer and goat's and also grew wings of a bat and angles'. His last changes were adding a tail of a dragon's and his head turned into a horse's. "GRAaAaAaAaAaAaAaAR" Discord pierced out, shaking the room even more.
"SWEET SOUFLEE!!! He's a monster!!!" Pit yelled out. Discord swipes at them with his eagle claws that threw back everyone. They all started fighting him at will; slicing, scratching, perching, bashing, and blasting. Discord countered many of the attacks by swiping his tail and limbs at them, he even rolled around and nearly flattening our heroes. "How were you able to stop him before?" Pit yelled.
Many of the girls gave their own answers "With teamwork!", "With the elements!", "With friendship!". Many were reasonable answers but one caught Pit off guard, "By turning him into stone!".
Pit sparked an idea and started to fight his way to Twilight. "Twilight, can you take away a soul using your magic?"
Twilight was hesitating at the question, trying to focus on two things at a time "Uh... yeah... but, it needs to make itself appear."
"Ok!" Pit replied and charged towards Applejack who was fighting Discord at his side. "Jackie!" she flinched at her new nickname and looked over her shoulder at the approaching angel "I need a lift!" she lowers her weapon in confusion and to her surprise, Pit jumps on top of her apple-arm weapon and jumps onto Discord's back.
Discord feels the angel now clinging onto his back and starts flailing around, trying to throw Pit off his back. The brave little angel held on tighter and slowly started to shimmy his body into a better position between Discord's shake downs. Finally, Pit was riding on top of him like a cowboy riding a bull. When Pit was fully secured on Discord, he lift up his sword and stabbed it into Discord's back. With a cry of pain, Pit was thrown off Discord's back and a beam of light was coming out of the punctured wound. "NOW TWILIGHT!" Pit yelled at her. Twilight started to get the gist of it and began to chant a spell. Slowly, a bright orb started to emerge from the cut. Discord felt his life leaving his body and with one last roar, he started to turn into stone.
With the 'orb of life' now within Twilight's control, the castle, land, even the sky; went back to normal. Everyone gave out a victory cry, happy to have everything back to normal again. Pit got up from his fall and started to smile at hearing the girls cheer. "PIT... PIT..." he was hearing "PIT ARE YOU THERE?" his smile started to fade while he searched for the voice "PIT, ANSWER ME..." his eyes started to widen when he came to the conclusion of where the voice was coming from.
The girls stopped their cheers of the victory over Discord to witness Pit talking to himself. "Lady Palutena!" Pit said in shock "Is that really you?"
With a sigh of relief, Palutena responded back "Thank goodness I got through to you, I thought the worst had happen to you."
Pit was a bit insulted at that statement, and folded his arms "You shouldn't think so little of me."
"What in the world happened here?"
"Well you see, Discord took over Equestria, so me and my friends here decided to stop him. It all started out within a dark room, a door of opens showing a burst of sunlight as a boy jumps through the door and spreads his wings. The boy starts falling and is suddenly flying through the sky, wearing a white tunic that matched the color of the sword he was carrying, it's also covered with dark blue and gold rims."
Pinkie burst his story "For Pity's sake, get to the end."
Pit suddenly felt his life was at risk, so he jumped a couple of chapters forward "We took down Discord."
Palutena started to speak to everyone mentally "All of you took down Discord? Now I feel really guilty for not getting here sooner"
"What kept ya?" Applejack said, looking up at who knows where.
"I tried to get here first thing in the morning, but I found nothing. I knew that this was impossible and I started to think that their was a barrier hiding the island. I tried my best to use my divine powers to break through it, but every time I got close to breaking it, the barrier suddenly shifted on me."
"Shifted?" Fluttershy spoke up.
"Yes, barriers are a lot like safes. You could break through by force, or you could find a frequency, a code in other words, to unlock it. Unfortunately, the frequency kept on changing and left me back at square one."
Twilight gave it some thought "Do you think that this is due to Discord distorting the world around us?"
"That might explain a lot, because from out here, everything seemed to be fine. I guess you could say that Discord made a whole other universe, and everyone of you were in that universe."
Pit and Rainbow Dash's heads were spinning. Dash stop the conversation from continuing before she got sick "Is Lady Celestia with you?"
"No" Palutena said in a worry tone "She's not with you?!?!"
Everyone was silent, worrying about the goddess. "Do you think that rude vixen has her?" Rarity brought up.
"Do you mean Pandora?" Pit asked.
"Hey yeah" Twilight put together "She did say something about 'switching domains'. Could Pandora somehow force Lady Celestia to stay within her realm?"
"It might be possible, her domain is pretty weird." Palutena admitted "I suggest we check out 'The Labyrinth of Deceit', Pit lets go."
As a beam of light was starting to form around the angel, Twilight protest "We're coming too!"
"This is a trip for angels, you'll need to be able to fly."
"We have a balloon outside, we can get there." everyone waited for a reply from Palutena "Please, she's our goddess and Pit's our friend. We want to help."
Another moment of silence filled the room. The light around Pit began to fade away "I really shouldn't risk followers of a different god's... very well. Everyone to the balloon." Everyone started to grin and headed out the door "Oh, and young lady" Twilight stop and looked up "I'll be holding onto Discord's soul. I'll let Celestia decide his fate." With that, the floating orb went up into the air.
The team made it outside and got ready, Pit was even going to help pull the balloon this time around (with the help of Palutena). All of the non-fliers got into the basket; Applejack, Pinkie, Rarity, Twilight, and Scootaloo. "Wha... Scootaloo!" Applejack said, in surprise "How'd you get here?" She picks her up, planning to lift her out of the basket "I thought I told ya it's to dangerous."
"Let her stay!"
Everyone looked at Pit for his sudden outburst "She can take care of herself."
Applejack wasn't satisfied "She may be able to take care of herself, but that doesn't mean she can protect herself from danger."
"Then I'll protect her" Scootaloo blushed at that comment "I'll take responsibility if she gets her."
Applejack's tone changed to an uncertain seriousness "Alright, but I'm holding ya to those words."
Pit, feeling proud of himself, went back to securing the rope around him "Putting up a fight to bring someone along? Pit, did you get a girlfriend while I was gone?" Palutena teased him.
"Aargh, cut it out" a blushing Pit said.
After everyone was ready, Palutena used her 'Power of Flight' on Pit and guided him to the labyrinth. She used an incredible amount of speed on him, due to the fact that the bizarre maze is quite a distance away and time was never on their side when using the flying power. Everyone in the basket was screaming in terror as if they were on a roller coaster, the only one that was thrilled about this ride was Scootaloo. Fluttershy was thrown back by the speed, but Rainbow Dash was keeping up with Pit. They reached a space pocket and charged right on through, they soon found themselves in a room that looked a lot like how the castle looked under Discord's rule. They reached the first peril of the maze "Wait, slow down" Palutena said to the ever persistent Rainbow Dash. Rainbow glanced up, but she didn't catch as to why she needed to slow down.
*BAM!*
Rainbow Dash collided with a false path; the 'path' was in fact a wall that was painted on to make the victim think that their was. With a smearing sound coming from Rainbow sliding along the wall, Palutena hurried Pit to the destination.
Not much later everyone landed safely (this time landing right-side-up). All of the riders were scared stiff, gripping the basket, the exhilarated Scootaloo was the only one that seemed unscathed (at least in the negative way). She ran up to Pit and the face rubbing Rainbow Dash "That was amazing you guys." she said to the two, followed by a look up "You gotta gimme a ride with that power of yours sometime Lady Palutena."
"Oh, you can't fly either?" Palutena replied, everyone hearing her "No wonder Pit took a shine to you."
"I SAID, CUT IT OUT!" Pit yelled in embarrassment.
Everyone made their way through the labyrinth, easier this time around sense Pit was here before. Shockingly, their were no problem going through it, the traps were still there but no 'Forces of Darkness'. The only problem they came across was trying to get Pinkie off of the bouncing floors in one of the rooms (she was just having to much fun).
Finally, they made it to Pandora's main chamber. To their surprise, Pandora...
...was not there, instead a mirror was floating there, and within the mirror was none other then the goddess, Celestia. "Lady Celestia!" everyone went, Pit and Rainbow Dash charged towards her.
"STOP!!!" Palutena yelled, halting the two angels. A good thing too, because a few feet in front of them, a HUGE pillar of fire surrounded Celestia, engulfing her.
Pit and Rainbow Dash started sweating from the flames, plus the fact that they were almost turned into fried chickens.
"Now now" a familiar voice taunted "angels shouldn't get close to the sun." A figure appeared at the corner of the room, being none other then Pandora.
The flames of the pillar faded when the two angels stepped back "Release her Pandora!" Pit ordered.
"Why should I" she provoked "I have an extra frame thanks to you and it seems so perfect to frame her. It really lightens up the room."
"Release her you witch, before I lose my temper!" Rainbow Dash said, ready to attack.
With a flash, Pandora teleports between the two angels and the trapped goddess. She quickly slices them back with her sword "You scrawny little angel" she said in a stern and deadpan voice. The two angels watched her as she lifted up her sword to her head with one hand, giving the most stern glare anyone has ever seen. The pillar of fire appeared again with a shaking boom behind Pandora, it gave her a dark silhouette look as those flaming eyes of hers kept on staring.
Pandora makes a fast strike towards the two angels, forcing them to jump back and guard. Twilight and Rarity shoots their projectiles at Pandora who quickly teleports. Pandora appears around six of the heroes "Look alive" she mocked before snapping her fingers and spinning in circles, sending them back and widening the gap between everyone. Applejack, Rarity, and Pinkie were unaware that they were being pushed back towards bombs, snapped into reality by Pandora, which exploded the moment they touched them. Rainbow Dash charged at Pandora but missed her by a hair. Dash slides on the ground and stops in place before trying again, but she found herself trapped in a "Capture Circle", making her unable to leave from the circle momentarily. Twilight and Fluttershy shoot at Pandora with their projectiles, but the bullets were suddenly shot back at them when Pandora creates a heart-shaped crystal. Scootaloo was shooting at Pandora who was blocking the shots with her sword before she flies forward for a strike. Pit gets between the two and clashes swords with her.
Rainbow Dash was fighting against the capture circle while her friends kept on fighting. "Stupid Circle" the persistent Dash said. She looked at the fight seeing everyone struggling against Pandora, "I feel so helpless" she looks across the room at Celestia "like if I was in the mirror instead of Lady Celestia" Pandora enters into Rainbow's point of view. Dash widened her eyes for a second and gave a clever smirk. She poses into a runner's stance that was aimed towards Pandora.
Pandora was shooting heart-shaped bullets at everyone, hitting many and missing some, Twilight was one of the lucky ones. She launched a meteor at Pandora, but she simply vanished and appeared right in front Twilight. Pandora rises her sword again and strikes at her, but she fails as well, thanks to Fluttershy using her orbitars to make a shield for her friend. Applejack used her apple-arm weapon to shoot seeds at Pandora which, despite their size, gave quite a sting. Pandora took a few steps back and formed another heart-shaped crystal to throw the seeds back at AJ. After that move, Rainbow Dash finally made a move of her own and blasted forward. She rams the preoccupied Pandora right in the side, sending her like a bullet towards the mirror holding Celestia. With a shatter, the mirror breaks and the gigantic pillar of fire engulfs both the mirror and Pandora.
"LADY CELESTIA!!!" everyone shouted in fear, staring at the inferno. No one said a word, they just stood there watching the fire burn. After a few moments, a figure appeared and started to walk out of the fire. The figure appeared as a woman, wearing a white gown with high heels. She had a gold necklaces and tiara that had a purple gem on each of them. She had big, long flowing hair made of four colors; red, green, sky blue, and dark blue; all with a tint of soft blue and sparkles. Last, she was walking with a tall white staff with a sun on the top.
"LADY CELESTIA!!!" everyone shouted with joy as they gazed at the goddess. Twilight ran up and gave her a hug, happy to see that she was safe. Pit was a bit confused by all this; she was inside a giant fireball, but she wasn't burn at all.
Pit just had to ask "Um... I'm glad to see that your finally safe and all, but how were you able to stay in there and not get burned?"
Celestia looked at him and gave him a friendly smile "I'm the goddess of the sun, that big inferno is nothing I can't handle."
"Well I guess that make sense. Wait, goddess of the sun?" Pit followed up with another question. "Say, would you happen to know Pyrrhon?"
Celestia gave an intrigued look at him "Why yes, he's my brother."
"The sun god is your brother!?!?"
"Well, he's really the god of the flame. Daddy gave me the title of the sun since I was born first. I don't mind sharing the title with him; but by the sound of things, he hasn't grown up after all these years."
"Better not tell her what happened to him" Pit thought to himself
"I'm happy to see that your alright Celestia" Palutena said.
"Thank you Palutena and thank you all for your help. With Discord and Pandora defeated, I can rule over Equestria once again." With that everyone gave a cheer at the return of their goddess "Come. Gather around me and I will take you home."
Everyone gathered around Celestia and she forms a beam of light down on everyone. With a quick flash Cele,stia disappears with the light soon after. Everyone stood there looking at each other. "Did she just ditched us?" Rainbow Dash questioned.
"What, your still there!?" Celestia said in everyone's minds "I thought I brought all of you with me. Let me try again." Another beam of light came down on our heroes, then vanished after a moment or so, leaving our heroes still stuck in the labyrinth. "I don't understand, the only way this could happen is if someone was interfering with my powers."
"Now that the 'pain-in-the-butt' is out of the way" everyone looked towards where the voice was coming from, it was the fire Celestia was in moments ago. The fire started to float and formed a flame with a light-green halo above it. It formed two large eyes with the rims being pink, as well as the pupils. It then formed a mouth and gave a evil grin, showing of some sharp pointed teeth. It stared at everyone with rageful eyes "I think it's time for you to pay FOR WHAT YOU DID TO MY BODY!!!!"
Everyone got spooked as they heard her yell, the yell of the revived Pandora. She charges past everyone and burns them in the process. She flies around for another attack "NOW I'LL NEVER GET MY DRIVER'S LICENSE!!!" she wailed at them. Pinkie shoots her cannon at the ball of vapor, but she dives into the floor. Pandora spikes up in the center of the circle everyone was in, throwing everyone apart. She pulls off a new move as she starts spinning around while blowing out flames. Everyone ran away from the fire and tried to regroup for a counter attack. Pandora just cackled and weaved side to side to form two wide projectile heading towards the gang. The group was only able to form two teams on both of Pandora's sides.
Pit being in one of the team saw Scootaloo on the other side's team and formed an idea. "SCOOTALOO" he shouted towards her and lifted up his sword. Scootaloo saw this and knew exactly what Pit was going for. She shoots at Pandora's back side, making her turn to face her, but Pit did the same thing when she turned at him. The pattern repeated itself and the others joined in with the two. Pandora was now flying everywhere, trying to get away from the shoots, but everyone just kept on pecking at her. Pandora had enough and charged at Pit. Pit stopped shooting and wined up his arm. "LIGHTS OUT, PANDORA!" he yells and slices her, receiving a cry of defeat from her. Pandora bounces on the floor a few times before she starts getting bigger and bigger and explodes, leaving flames vanishing into thin air.
Everyone cheered that the fight was finally over (hopefully this time around). "Good job everyone" Palutena said to everyone, Celestia followed up by saying Yes, you all did a splendid job at defeating Pandora. Now that her powers are gone, I'll bring you back home" and with that, the beam of light shined on everyone and vanished them away to Celestia's castle.
Days past in Equestria while everyone celebrated and continued on with their lives. After a week there, it was time for Pit to head back to Skyworld. Everyone gathered back at the castle to say their goodbyes. Pit was standing on a balcony and saw everyone there to see him off.
Celestia decided to say her goodbyes first "Take care of yourself, Pit."
Pit responded with a bow "I will. By the way, what did you do to Discord?"
She gave a grin "Don't worry about him. He's in someplace where he'll make a lot of new friends."
Someplace in the garden of Celestia's, Discord is still frozen in stone. He can barely be seen under a flock of pigeons.
"I'm sure they'll smother him with presents."
Pit was confused at that statement, but Applejack gave him a nudge that made him forget. "Here" Applejack gives him a apple "It's a farewell present." She starts to turn, but jolts back "Oh, and don't call me 'Jackie' again" she gave a stern face at Pit followed by a smile and a pat on the back.
"Here dearie, I to have a present" Rarity said and she gave a wreath that was covered in blue flowers. Pit was a bit embarrassed, it was goofy looking, but he still thanked her "I know it will suit you quite well."
Fluttershy, still being as quite as ever, waved goodbye at Pit. Pit waved back, then was suddenly squeezed by a hug from Pinkie "Don't forget to write."
"I really need to learn how to read first" Pit thought, lacking the air to say it from the strong hug.
Pinkie let go, then Rainbow spoke up. "Hey, thanks for training us" she said to Pit, getting a node from him.
"Thank you" Twilight said to Pit. "Without you, we would still be eggplants right about now." Pit smiled at her then looked at Scootaloo.
"And thank you" Pit said to Scootaloo, who was baffled by his statement. "Without you, I would have never been able to find anyplace without your guidance."
Scootaloo stiffened up. "Theirs no need for that. You would've eventually found Twilight's place sooner or later."
"I'm not talking about that" Scootaloo was now even more confused. "When Discord tricked me about Lady Palutena leaving me, I lost my reason, the purpose for me to go on. I would've probably be still lost, looking for something to go on. But then you told me how much you depended on me, how much you needed my help. That was the reason for me to go on fighting."
Scootaloo was now blushing. She closed her eyes and turned her head "O-o-oh please, I j-just thought I would s-stand a better chance with y-y-you b-backing me up" she folds her arm, trying to act tough.
Pit went up and kissed her on the forehead. Now she was blazing red on her cheeks while she stared at him flustered. Pit steps back into the balcony as a beam of light shines down from the heavens onto him. "I'll be seeing ya around" he said before he vanished into the air, leaving only a few white feathers floating in his place. One of the feathers floats towards Scootaloo and she picks it out of the air. Staring at it, she smiles and gazes her eyes up, to the skies above.
