Chapter One: Cold

View Online

I've been in this new world for four days. The locals called it 'Equestria', the land of harmony and peace.
And why is this so important?

Because in my original world, there were wars all the time. My race wasn't able to stop itself from self destruction.
But this place... it's wonderful. And distressing for me.

As I said, I arrived here about four days ago or around that.
How did I get here? I have not the slightest idea.
My memories have broken, shattered around the time when I left my original world, like as a dream fades if you don't concentrate on remembering it.

This new world's completely different lifestyle was... overwhelming. Of course, there was crime and other things like that, but except these little disturbances, the society lived in a utopia.

It was... too perfect. And that made me think - what drove me into a lethargic state.

And why did I tell you this all?
Because I have to choose now, choose about being happy and live the rest of my life with my love, or go home, to the place where I came from and where I belong.

I can't choose. Am I a monster? The only way you can tell me, if you listen my story.
It all started with a breath...

-Chapter One-
.:Cold:.

Cold. Not just the simple, friendly one what makes you shiver. It was the mean one what freezes you through to the bone.

And I didn't feel anything else, just that cold. All of the little heat-sensors in my skin were screaming to my brain to do something. But my brain lost its interest and thought that it's very comfortable here, time to sleep.

'NO!'

The instinct of survival cried up. Just like if I was shocked by a few thousand volts, I inhaled, a really big one - and regretted it right in the next second.

The cold was real, my limbs were numb and the unbearable feeling of the freezing flooded my brain in a second.

"AAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" My painful shout was loud, but there was nobody to hear it.

Slowly, I opened my eyes, what revealed nothing but whiteness.
After a few seconds I realized that I lie on my back and it's the sky that is white, because it's snowing.

The tiny flakes of snow slowly fell on me, making a thick layer.

"I don't wanna die..." I groaned in pain as I tried to move my arms to put myself in a sitting position.

After four futile tries, I turned over and managed to push myself up to my feet. The view was astonishing.
The place I laid was in a little clearing of a forest. The snow covered everything like a white blanket, making me think about sleeping. It was very quiet. I heard the soft sound of the falling snowflakes.

"Where the heck am I?" I said aloud. Old habit of me, it makes me a bit confident.

As I checked my surroundings again and again I was more and more sure about one thing.

"This can't be Earth. But how?" The lack of sounds made me think this, the place I call 'home' always had sounds of it's own: low rumbles, high pitched beeping, and everything else what the mark of the human machines can give.

After standing still for a minute, my survival instinct signed to me again and I began to move in a random direction.

'Why should I go to a direct way if everything looks the same?' I thought and tried to answer my own question about this unknown land.

Short time later I stopped and looked around again. Further examining followed, I got to know which climate zone I could possible be.

"This is a deciduous forest, these trees are oaks and beeches... aaaahhh, my toes are frooozen! Just like my ears..." Didn't I tell you? I was in a sweater with matching pants and I wore sport shoes. Clearly, not enough for this temperature.

"Alright, it must be winter then, somewhere in the mountains of Europe... Or North-America... Or I don't know, I'm not a cartographer!" I exhaled. My breath was clearly visible and was visible for 10-12 seconds. That means the temperature is around -4°C.

"Oh, great, I'm going to be a snowman soon... no, I can find a shelter or something, there MUST be some kind of house somewhere!" I said and continued my aimless walk into the unknown.

To my bad luck, my trusty cell-phone wasn't with me. But my inner clock told me that I've been wandering around for at least 40 minutes.
That means my core-temperature will sink soon, and I will slow down until I stop - and die.
Knowing this I doubled my speed.

"You will not get me, I gave you a try earlier. You didn't want me, now you won't get me!" I said half-shouting.

Death was close to me and that made me determined.

"No, no, no, nonononoooo!" I began to run... and fell over in a hidden root of a tree.

"Owww..." I moaned in pain, I fell on my knees, making them ache. But the pain was worth it. Lady Fortuna smiled on me, there was a building in the direction I looked.

"Jackpot..." I pulled myself up again and began to wobble to that building.

"Just get... there and I... will take a... hot bath..." Moving meter from meter, limping to my goal, my energy slowly drained. The distance was maximum 50 meters when my left leg gave in and collapsed.

"You want me to crawl? Then I will!" With a new wave of determination I moved closer and closer.
Only 10 meters remained when my last drop of energy was used up.

Then I just laid down again. I knew a catchphrase for situations like this.

"So near yet so far..." I said it, watching the weird little house. I was about to check it more closely when an insuperable feeling washed through my body.

'Oh, so that's the feeling when your body shuts down.' I thought, I wasn't able to move my mouth.
I heard stepping like sounds before I blacked out.

'Why it is dark here?' My mind wandered.

'Is this death? Dark and... warm? Hm, it's pretty comfortable, I think I like it.' But something wasn't right, and this poked my thoughts.

'Hmm... but I was in the snow... white and cold, it can't be... Or what? I'm confused...' I felt something.

'What the heck... So I'm not dead! But then, where am I? I should open my eyes.' Blackness.

'Uhm, okaaay, there must be something with my eyes then, try the other four senses.' I tried to sniffle in the air but I smelled nothing.

'Okay, maybe my nose went offline too. Next one!' I cracked my mouth open (what made my lips hurt) and took a painful, deep breath. I tasted something in the air, some kind of food.

'Is this soup? Yes, definitely it is.' Thanks to my 'special talent' I was able to taste the smells and tell what was the source of it. Quite useful when you are hungry.

'Alright, there is dark and food. Next sense...' I listened my surroundings. I heard the ticking of a clock, the almost inaudible sound of the falling snow colliding with a window and (from an other room, I guessed) muffled
speaking. Unfortunately I wasn't able to understand the speaking, it was too muffled.

'So, I'm in a room, with at least one window, I lay in a comfy bed, there is a bowl of soup, perhaps made from vegetables... hmm, something is missing...' I thought about the missing piece when I heard the sounds of footsteps getting close.

'So that was it. My savior comes to see me.'

I heard a door opening with a quiet creak then somebody came in. Because the unknown person saved my life and put me in a bed, I thought that he or she can't be hostile at the least.

"Uhm, hello?" I said weakly and quietly, my throat hurt too.

"Oh, you are finally awake." It was a young woman's voice, I thought that she could be in her late twenties.

"Erm.. Yeah, I did wake up, but I can't see, can you tell me why?"

'Time to know why my eyes are offline...'

"Your head is bandaged, just like the rest of your body. You got a lot of frostbites." Her voice was calming, but the thing she said made me upset. And why I was bandaged?

"What? Frostbites? Am I going to lose my fingers? Or nose? Nonono, I don't want to be defective!"

"Don't worry, your wounds are healing well, you will be fine before you know it. Do you want to eat some soup? It's still hot."

I thought about the situation. I remembered the last things before my blackout, the little house, the snow, the sound of somebody coming...

"You saved me?" I asked her suddenly. There was a few seconds pause, probably a shocked blinking, then she answered.

"Y-yes, I found you lying in the snow, and I brought you in my home." She was confused and I felt a bit guilty because of this.

"Sorry for startling you, I didn't meant it. And thank you. I would be surely dead by now. By the way, where am I and how long I was out?" Finally I was able to ask these questions.

"You were sleeping for..." She stopped for a second, to check the clock, I thought. "For more than nine hours. And
as I mentioned before, you are in my home."

"Nine hours? Oh, well.. But where is your home? What city?"

"It's in Windystone. But I'm sure you don't know where it is, right?" She asked quietly, her voice was sad.

"Yes, never heard of it... What's the problem? Is something wrong?" I felt that there was something that bothered her, something that she didn't want to tell me - but I must know it.

"N-no..." She sighed. "Yes, there is. But this would probably shock you, so you should see it yourself."

"Alright... I guess? Are you going to take my bandages down now?"

"No. Not yet. You still need to heal. And you should eat too." After all, she sounded like a lonely girl, saddened
by the world, happy because she got something to do (or somebody to take care of?) and sad because of something, something big.

"Hmm, okay, give me that soup." I lifted my arms, just to find it unmanageable, I felt like they were made out of
iron.

"Aaalright, I can't move my arms, greeaat..." I said sarcastically.

The still unknown girl giggled and that was enough to remember me about asking her name.

"Can you help me, dear unkown lady? My name is Martin O'Donell by the way.

"The name is Violet Dawn." She said and giggled again.

"Interesting name... are you a native American?" I didn't know any other cultures what named theirs after the things in the nature. But her name could be that by coincidence.

"American? What is an American?" Her voice said that she really didn't know anything about it.

"Violet... is this planet Earth?" My logic worked fast and this was the only question what I had to say.

"Earth? N-no.. This is planet Equis, and you are in the Kingdom of Equestria..."

All of my thoughts were washed away and made place for one thing. 'I'm on an alien planet speaking with an actual alien.' I don't know why, but this flipped my consciousness switch to off.

I woke up again, this time with a small gasp. The things before my fainting slowly sunk in - I don't remember how, but I've been sucked into an alien world. My biological knowledge told me that this world must be Earth, and not that ridiculous place what Violet said, but I know if somebody is lying and she wasn't.

'Alright, alright, maybe it's just a bad prank or something. Noooo, it can't be, I feel the slight pain of those frostbites. But can it be true? Oh my gosh, what will I do here...'

I groaned quietly. As an answer I heard Violet again.

"Are you alright?" She was worried and I felt her weight on the bed. "I thought something bad happened!"

"I'm fine... you weren't joking, right?"

"Joking? You mean Equis and Equestria?"

"Yeah..."

"No, I would never. You really are in this place." This hit me again, but this time I was able to accept it without blacking out.

"So, you aren't a human. How can you speak my language?" Two important questions - again.

"No, I'm not 'hu-man' and you speak my language!"

'What.'

"Alright. Violet, please take these bandages off of my head, I want to see you."

She didn't answer.

"Violet?" I grew suspicious.

"I... I shouldn't, you will surely freak out and-" I stopped her, I can't stand if somebody think things about me doing things I wouldn't do lest they saw me doing it beforehand.

"No, Violet, I won't, I swear! Please be kind and free me from the bandages."

I heard her breathing, then a weird sound what was like the sound of a high-tech gadget from a sci-fi.
Then I felt the bandages getting loose. Few seconds later the last line of the cloth has left my head, leaving an unpleasant brightness, I had to shut my eyes.
Half minute later I was able to open them and was instantly shocked by the thing I saw.

"What the-" The thing I saw was a gray pony with big emotional blue eyes and violet mane. But the most intriguing part was a single horn on the top of her forehead.

'This is a pony. A speaking pony. Wait, no, it's a unicorn. Am I in a world full of ponies? Some little girls could
kill for this. Awesome, a speaking unicorn... gah, what am I thinking, not 'it', her! She is a speaking unicorn
pony. Okay, I have gone mad or somebody is in his funny mood.'

She just looked in my eyes while I thought these. When I realized that I was staring at her, she frowned.

"Are you... scared?" She was definitely real and definitely worried.

"N-no, I'm just surprised to see a... a... unicorn... you know, you are a myth where I come from?"

She raised her eyebrows and gave me a questioning look.

"I.. I will tell you later, Violet..." I said and began to examine her more.

She was indeed gray, a bit metallic, plain gray. Not too special coat color for a pony. But her mane was different.

As I said before, it was violet, a darker shade of it to be specific, and it was shoulder long, cut in a straight style
so it was of the same length everywhere. Her eyes were almond-shaped with a very beautiful dark blue color.

If I think about it, I handled this new situation better than I should, maybe that was becasue she saved my life. I don't know.

"Can I touch you?..." I asked her finally.

"Y-yes if you want to..." She answered sheepishly.

Somehow I managed to lift my left arm, managing to run my fingers down on her mane, stopping my hand on her cheek. I held her head for a few seconds. As response, she pushed back my hand a bit, just like a pet dog would if she wanted you to pet her. After this, I began to speak, calmly.

"You are the softest thing I ever touched, Violet. First I thought things about you, but you..." She smiled at me.

"Yes? Me?" She questioned quietly.

"You are beautiful..." She blushed, very hard - I don't know how could she blush through her coat but I don't care. "I know that I'm an alien, and stuff, and you are not even my species, but you are beautiful."

"T-thanks..." She said and blushed even more, her cheeks were practically glowing with the reddish hue.

Back on Earth I was able to see the beauty of everything. Some people think that I have a too vivid imagination, but I never listened to them.

'She have a lot of anthropomorphic lines, maybe that's why I think that she is beautiful.' I thought and looked in
Violet's eyes again.

A minute of silent staring later I realized that I made a very intimate contact with her by touching her face. That led me to pull my hand back and ask her the most obvious questions I could ask.

"Humans aren't exist here, right? Heh, how could they, there are no noises everywhere like back on Earth... " I sunk in my thoughts for a moment.

"I wonder why you aren't freaked out by now..." She said in a sad, gloomy tone, looking down at her forehooves.

"What? Oh, well, I freaked out for first, but I have seen so many things, you can't really surprise me. True, my confidence was on its deepest point when I saw you, but heck, you are the most pleasant view since a long time!..." I said, making her blushing again.

'If I keep complimenting to her, she will kiss me sooner or later. Hm, she really looks lonely, I can't even imagine how long she wasn't in contact with anyone, if an alien monster like me makes her blush that easy...' I thought and my eyes wandered off again, just to make contact with her's.

"You are a really weird.. thing, Martin." She said and gave me a happy smile.

'What should I say to this?... Wait a second. I just wake up in this world, almost died due to the winter, then she found me, brought me to her home, and I can totally say that she likes me. An alien. A monster. An outsider. Something is off here...'

Finally, I returned her smile, still thinking about the situation.

Chapter Two: Past

I don't know what a regular man at my age would do. I mean, I was a bit 'special', if I’m even allowed to use that word.
And why? Because I had no life. No, seriously. All of my days were like this: get up, go to work, work, go home, gaming and surfing on the net till bedtime, sleep, then repeat.
And it went on, day after day, week after week, months, years...

I was nearly 29 when I arrived to this world. That means I've been on my own for more than 7 years.
Seven years of this, and I had no friends (not talking about a girlfriend) or anything.
Yes, as every gamer, I had some chat-partners via various programs, a clan for a certain game and so on.
But nothing more than that.
And why have I told you this?

Because I was a hopeless romantic. I’ve always dreamed of being loved by a girl, I’ve had dreams and fantasies... But if I had to act, I would be too timid and afraid of it, nothing could've happened ever.

This drove me to read stories, and comics, and somehow I drifted away into a special portion of the net.
I don't want to say names, but I shortly got into what is known as 'anthro'.

First time I was truely disgusted, but things are changing.

And that's why I was so acceptng of Violet when I met her, right in the first time. After being alone for almost decade, meeting someone who did the greatest thing I can think of, saving my life: it was enough to start the never used hormonic progresses.
And I arrived to the starting statement. I don't know what a regular man at my age would do.
My mind told me to get back where I belong. But my heart wasn’t.
My mind told me that it can't happen, she isn't even my species. My heart told me that love is universal.
My mind told me that I will regret this in so many ways. My heart told me a rhythmical sound. 'Beat! Beat! Beat!'
My mind was silent at that time.

And I was lying on that comfy bed, thinking about this, uncontrollably staring at Violet, feeling slightly weird inside.

-Chapter Two-
.:Past:.

"Sooo, can I get that soup?" I broke the silence that had fell on us after I began to think.

"Oh, sure." She was a bit surprised/perplexed, I thought that she had similar thoughts of her own.

She stepped back and turned to the bed-table, where the soup was waiting, still steaming.
Then she did the thing what made my eyes almost fell out of their place. Her horn had a dark-blue aura around it,
its color matching with her eyes. The same aura appeared on the bowl of soup and it flew off the table, in front of me.
I grabbed it by reflex, and stared at the now auraless bowl in disbelief.
The ache in my arms didn’t compare to the one in ym head, as my mind raced to find the answer to this physics breaking event.

"Uhm.. Martin, is something wrong?" She asked me. But I didn't hear her.

'This is impossible. IMPOSSIBLE! Even if she had a higher brain activity, or her species is special, generating a null-point-gravity field with a magic horn is impossible. Wait. What if this is the answer? Maybe this planet contains a rare chemical matter, like the element zero in Mass Effect?... But still...'

"Hellooo... are you here?" Violet asked, waving her right hoof before my eyes - no answer.

'...So that means that this whole unicorn-pony race is able to do psycho-kinesis or even more... Hmm, I wonder if they have pyro-kinesis too... '

Violet leaned closer to my face. I still stared the bowl of soup which was in my hands. I drifted off so much, my senses shut down and I wasn't able to see her purple maned head getting in my field of view.

'...That means her horn is the transmitter of her psychic powers, maybe an amplifier too... Alright, it IS possible.'

'Wait, something is out of place.' And with that my mind broke the drifting and my senses got online again.
I felt the warm bowl in my palms, smelled the soup, heard the ticking of the clock, and saw Violet's face inches
away from mine.

'What?'

As I focused my eyes on her, I noticed that she wasn’t looking into my eyes, she was looking below, below my nose... she was looking at my lips.

"Violet what are you doing?" I asked her, slightly startled by her 'sudden' appearance in my personal space, and the thought that she almost did something reckless.

"Wha...? Oh, I'm sorry, I just, I thought, you were-" She was blushing with embarrassment and she tried to hide it with her forehooves. I stopped her.

"Violet." She backed away but she remained on the bed and sat down. "I have two things to ask."

"Y-yes?" She still blushed and tried to hide behind her mane, I found it very cute.

"The thing you did with your horn was..." I tried to find a fitting word. "...was that magic?"

"Ye-yes, it was, but why do you ask? Your world doesn’t have magic?"

"Doesn't matter now." I sighed and frowned. The second question was a harder one and I already felt bad because of it. "The important here is that I have to know a certain thing."

She gave a questioning look.

"How long have you lived alone?" Simple question. Complicated consequences.

She blinked at me. Her eyes moved to look at my left then right one then left again. I honestly say that she went a bit more grey. Finally her surprised expression changed into a very sad, depressed one.
She looked down and I saw small droplets of tears forming in her eyes.

"Violet I'm sorry about this, I usually say the things I think, without even considering their meaning to the others, please forgive me, I-I will-" She stopped me with an almost inaudible answer.

"Eleven."

"What? Eleven what? Wait, you mean?..."

She nodded. That even beaten my 'record' and left me staring at her in sad astonishment and respect.

A single tear rolled down on her face, finishing its way on her chin, dropping down, leaving a circular mark on the blanket.

"Ohhh, Violet..." I put the bowl back on the table and leaned forward.
She lifted her head a bit and saw me leaning forward but did nothing against it - I hugged her.

'Wow, she IS soft, and warm, not like a pet dog or a plushie.. I wonder if a human girl feels the same...'

She accepted the hug and embraced me, still tearing. I felt the wet warmth of her tears on my neck as she pushed her face against mine. She held me tight, but not uncomfortable as she began to silently cry.

"It's alright, let it out..." I said and gently patted her back. In response, she tightened her hug.

A few minutes later she calmed down and broke the embrace.

"T-thank you Martin. I needed that..." I smiled at her and was about to answer, when she said something else, but I wasn't able to get it. "...And I need more..."

"Sorry? Can you repeat it?" She looked in my eyes. I saw that she was relieved by the previous cry, but she wasn't fully out of blue.
After a few seconds, she blinked and looked elsewhere, breaking the eye-contact.

"I-I think I will leave you alone now, eat the soup, you need it..."

She jumped off of the bed, making a clopping sound, then she trotted out of the room, closing the door with her
'magic'.

"Well, that was definitely weird. Alright, soup time!" I picked up the bowl again. "Oh, it's barely warm now. Well, whatever!" I said and began to consume it.

While eating the pretty tasty soup, I thought about the situation again.

'I can understand my case: sitting home forever alone...' I tried to mimic the famous meme. '... Hanging on the net and dreaming about... wWeird... stuff...' Mental images. Dirty ones. 'But 11 years of solitude really drives her to feel... this way to a completly unknown person, an alien in her view? Wow, she is REALLY lonely then...'

I began to hum the song 'Lonely' from Akon and slowly finished my meal.
As I ate, I looked at the door. And in that very moment, I realized that something was really out of place.

"WHERE ARE MY GLASSES???"

Before going more into the story, I feel I have to give you my description. I'm 6.07 feet tall, my weight is 71 kgs.

I'm a bit skinny, but nothing serious; I have light-brown hair, green eyes and a bit pale skin. Plus, I'm short-sighted, I can't see the things clearly if they are more away from me than the length of my arm.

As I mentioned before, I wore a black sweater with matching pants and with sport-shoes. My last memories from Earth was still shattered, or morely blurry, but I remembered that I used to jog - and that was my jogging equipment.
Answer for my not season fitting clothing.

My mind raced again - I had to find my glasses. Thinking about the last place where I was able to lose them led me to think about the missing memories of my last time back on Earth.
That ranked behind the problem of missing glasses.

'Why can’t I recall the things before waking up in the snow? What happened to me?'

My thinking was cancelled when Violet sprinted into the room, a frightened expression on her face.

"What happened? Martin? Are you alright?" She scanned my face, searching for a clue.

"I'm fine, but I lost my glasses... and partially my memories too."

"Oh, thanks to Celestia, I thought something awful happened... "

"Celestia? What?" She frowned and made a questioning expression. "Who-hoo, I'm from a different world..."

"Oh, right. Well, I can't help you with amnesia, but I found this in one of your pockets..."

She walked in front of the bed table, then 'magically' levitated my glasses out of the case of it.

"Ohhh, thank you!" She levitated the glasses in front of her, then she gently bit on them, holding them with her mouth.

"Uhm, what are you doing?"

She climbed up on the bed lying next to me a second later.

I gave her a suspicious and questioning look. She put my glasses on my chest and smiled at me.

"Aaaaal-riiight. Weird behavior rules..." I said and picked the glasses up. "Phew, still scratchless."

I would've examined my glasses for a bit more, but I saw something in the corner of my eyes.

"Violet stop staring me."

Chapter Three: Dawnie

View Online

Have you ever felt that strange feeling like someone is staring at you? But when you look at the person, they look away?
Well, it was happening, and made me slightly angry.

Violet was a very special person. I still wasn't able to accept that she had no revulsion to me, with the knowledge of me being a stranger AND an alien too.
But when I finally asked her, she gave me a surprising and simple answer.

-Chapter Three-
.:Dawnie:.

I put on my glasses and looked at Violet. She was so close that my glasses were unneeded, but I like to wear them, doing so gives me a characteristic and serious look. I looked into her eyes and raised my left eyebrow, making a questioning expression.

"Violet?"

She smiled and looked away. There was something in that smile. Something I've seen once, a long time ago.

20 years earlier...

"Hey Marty, come with me, I want to show you something!" Called my classmate, Evelyn.

"What is it?" I asked her. I saw her blond locks moving in the breeze as she waited for me to catch up. Being a 9 year old kid meant endless adventure for me, mostly with Evy - she was like a sister to me, or something more than that.

"Come, I will show you!" She said and ran down from the hill where we were.

Evy was the better runner, the cartilage problems with my knee wasn't helping me either, so she got away pretty fast.
I caught up with her a minute later: she was waiting for me by her home.

"What did you want to show me?" I asked now with a bit of excitement.

"Come inside, you will see!" She lead me to her room.

"Ewww, dolls..." Typical reaction from me to a typical girly thing.

"Marty..." I turned around and found Evy kicking the floor with her right leg. She bit on the index of her left hand, she did this if she wanted to do something but was too nervous to do it.

I frowned as I didn't know what she wanted. "Are you... hiding something?" I asked her as I had no better idea.

She looked in my eyes, and she had a... weird look on her face. I've never seen that expression before.

"Evy, what are you-" She stopped me by stepping closer to me and planting a kiss on my left cheek.
This shocked me, my jaw dropped and I felt my face burning. I saw her blushing too.

Back in the present...

'I knew I've seen this face before... no, that's not right. But still, what if?...'

"Violet, you remind me of somebody from my childhood." I said in a friendly tone.

Her ears perked up which I found cute and funny at the same time. "Really? You know, it’s the same with you."

'What? Oh, come on, really?'

"Seriously?" Out of any good questions, I asked her what was on my mind - another habit of me.

"Yeah, I had a very good friend when I was a little filly. But he had to move to another city with his parents... well, no friends from that point." This... kicked me in the face. Especially the way she said it, like if it was nothing.

"No friends, or anybody to talk to?" I looked at her blinking. "And you talk to me about this so easily?"

"..." She frowned and her happy expression vanished, she looked down at her forehooves.

"Oh, I'm sorry I did it again, can you forgive me?"

"Yes.. you did nothing, just pointed out the obvious..." She sniffed then looked up, just to find me staring at her from a few inches away. "Martin?... What are you-"

I suddenly pulled her in a tight embrace which she accepted without resistance. Why? Because I like her, we have a lot in common and for the first time in more than a decade: she was the first to actually tell me a very personal thing. That's a great honor to me, and she knew that.

"Oh, don't worry Violet, I don't think I can even get out of this world, so I will be here for... you..."

"Call me Dawnie." I heard her whispering, she was on the edge of crying.

"Wha?.. Dawnie? Thats what your friend called you, right?"

She broke the embrace, nodding and smiling.

"I... I should leave you alone now, you have to rest, the doctor's healing magic cancels if you move too much." She said and hopped down to the floor.

"Marty." I said, as friendly as I could manage.

She looked back at me, with a smirk on her face.

"Thank you, Marty."

"For what?" I raised my right eyebrow to highlight my lack of understatement.

"For being so kind to me."

'Oooooh, so that was what she was... I thought she... oh, whatever!'

"Anything for a beauty like yourself!" I said quickly moving my eyebrows up and down, in a suggestive way.

She blushed and trotted through the door, closing it again with her magic.

As she left the room, I fell into my thoughts again.

'So I still have no idea about how I got here, maybe I should... no. I will NOT go home without the memories about how I got here. And that means I should get used to this place, which is... not too difficult, by the looks of this room, the living standards of Dawnie's race is similar to mine... and almost as advanced with technology too. With no electricity. Well, that's a problem.'

I looked through the window, checking the surroundings of the house. I saw a few snowy tree, a cobblestone road in the distance and a clearing, covered with snow.

'Hm. I like snow. And winter... what was the thing I... oh, yes. No way back. And she is cute! What could be the problem?.. What could it be, what could it be... she’s a pony! This breaks my moral. But if I'm alone... the only living human here... then there is no one who could tell me what I should do.'

I took off my glasses and spinned them. It helped me to think.

'Uhhh... she shows that she is interested in me... and to be honest, she isn't that bad... heh, she has a nice flank...' I honestly surprised myself. 'But why should I just merely think this? Say it out loud!'

I nodded in agreement to my own command.

"Yes, she has a nice flank!" I facepalmed right after saying it.

'That sounded sooo awkward...' I shook my head. 'Well, whatever, I'm not one to judge and she does have nice curves just in the right places...'

Suddenly, the dirty part of my mind began to work, flooding my imagination with scenes about me doing Dawnie.

'Oh gawd. I'm a sick person. Hah, nothing new to me!'

I grinned and decided to take a nap.

I dreamed. I knew it was a dream, I’ve always known when I was dreaming. I was at home, in my small flat, surfing on the net.
But something happened, my pc shut down and the lights went out. After I looked around I saw that it was dark outside, but the clock on the wall said it was just 6 – there must be light outside even if it's Am, or Pm.

"What the heck?"

I found myself paralyzed. That was new, I was normally in control when I dreamed, losing that control was an unpleasant surprise to say the least. I felt a dragging force embracing me, and pulling me to the front door.

"What the?! Holy hell! This is my dream, let me go!" I shouted to the invisible force, with no avail.
I was forced to stand up, then I walked to the door. The force made me open it, but instead of a corridor, I found an empty darkness outside.

"What the... heck..." The force suddenly pulled me in.

"Holy Comb of Gramp's, what the heck was that?!?" I awoke from my nightmare-ish dream, sweating and breathing heavily. That hasn't happened to me in a long time, I was seriously frightened.

After a few seconds, I looked around, I saw that it was night time outside. Then I noticed Dawnie lying on the bed, next to me.
She woke up to my loud and scared speaking and looked at me with a questioning expression.

"What happened, *yawn* Marty?" She asked, and rubbed her eyes in a cute way.

"I... I don't know, a nightmare, I guess... but why are you in my bed?" I rised my eyebrows in surprise.

"Uhm... I can explain..." She made a sheepish smile.

I smirked at her and caressed her head.

"You don't have to Dawnie, I think I know anyway." I gave her a warm smile.

"R-really?" Her eyes brightened up and she began to blush.

I leaned closer to her, thinking only one thing.

'I hope I won't regret this...'

Chapter Four: Mind

View Online

I wasn't always alone. But the earlier decades of my life were pretty lonely. From the very beginning of my social life (or should I say the lack of it?), I was a like an outsider. In elementary school I never wanted to do the stupid things like the others, be the part of the herd, like an insignificant worker in an ant hill - I wanted to be unique.
Also, my more mature mentality and logic made me evade the stupidity of the others.
This lead me to be a real outsider, then something wrong happened.

I don't know why, but some of my classmates thought that it would be fun to make me angry.
And they did it. And this went on. Year after year. Even in high school.

These decades of being hurt mentally was more than enough to crash what little social skills I had.
Then you know the story - finishing the university with like no friends, then the always repeating cycle of work and game.

To summ up all of this: I found a way to release my mind, like if you are meditating.
This technique opens your mind. And I can share it.
I know, this sounds stupid, or crazy or both, but hey! It's working!

-Chapter Four-
.:Mind:.

My face was just an inch away from Dawnie's. If I thought about it, this whole leaning closer was pretty deceptive, she closed her eyes. But I had something else in mind for her.
I put my palms on the sides of her head and hold her still.

"M-marty, what are you doing?" She asked, surprised.

"Relax. And look me in the eyes." My voice was calming so Dawnie did what I asked for.

She opened her dark blue eyes and looked into my right, green colored one.
I concentrated and opened my mind. The progress was successful.
She stared in my eye, then her pupils began to grow.

"Good. Let me enter your mind. Feel what I feel." Doesn’t this remind someone to Mr. Spock's mind-unification?

"I see..." Her pupils were as large now as her irises, the blue circle of her iris had almost completely disappeared.

And the sorrow of the so familiar loneliness of those years reached me. I heard her cry for help, to find a companion... a mate...
and she must have felt my mind's scars, the decade long pain, the loneliness - she began to tear up.

This was enough, the few times whenever I actually used this on someone (like my older sister, she was the first 'test') it wasn't this.. powerful. It must be in connection with this world's 'magic'.

"This is too strong I will break it now!" I said as I felt a massive headache building up in the back of my head.

As I removed my palms from her head, we both fell back like we were blowed back by a wind.

"Marty, w-what was that?" Dawnie sweated and breathed heavily, then she rubbed her temple.

"Basicly a mind connecting and opening technique I created years ago." I sighed and frowned. "Dawnie, I know what you feel now... do you really think this?..." I felt other feelings than loneliness in her.

"I... I think so. But why are you so..." I finished her sentence.

"Hurt?" I raised my right eyebrow and a sad expression creeped on my face.

"Yes. Did someone hurt you? Tell me please!" She pleaded and made puppy-eyes. After another sigh, I replied.

"Yes. And no. I've been hurt, mostly mentally, for the biggest part of my life, by my classmates in various schools.
But I don't want to talk about it..." I remembered my mental breakdown. And it still hurt, even if it was a decade ago.

"But that is over, right? Marty?" She leaned forward and tilted her head, still wearing a sad expression.

"Yeah. Yes, it's over, I managed to end with falling into solitude." I smiled at her. "Better than crying, isn't it?" I let out a nervous chuckle.

"Nooo.. this is wrong..." A teardrop rolled down on her face as she looked down.

"It's alright, don't shed tears for me." I gently put my left hand under her chin, lifting her head up. "I'm damaged, but hey, I'm still alive!" I smiled at her kindly.

She smiled back, then blinked, like if she had a sudden idea: she quickly moved closer, giving me no time to react - and kissed me on the lips.

'Wha.. What? Why would she?... No, this is not right... But she is so fragile, I can't let her break... Oh well...'

After the last thoughts in my mind, I accepted her kiss and relaxed. By her acting, she enjoyed it and you know what? She was a good kisser!

I don't know how long it lasted, but at last we broke the kiss. After leaning back a bit, we just stared into eachother's eyes. Several seconds later I broke the silence.

"Well.. that was surprising and pleasant." A warm smile crept on my face, and I felt my cheeks burning. "Dawnie, I had some doubts but..."

She giggled, and began to blush, similar to me. She acted like a little girl - old memories came up.

"Want to get some more?" She asked quizzically.

"What?" My eyes went wide in surprise - but she giggled again and continued.

"Just kidding, Marty, everything have its time."

'So she really wants to have a relationship with me, a total stranger. And Alien. I said and thought this too much in the last day.'

I leaned back, still thinking about what she said, then (because I knew that this is the best available option) I spoke up.

"Yes." Simple and short, but perfectly fine and fitting.

Her face lighted up and she began to grin. Then she wrapped her forehooves around me, embracing me in a hug, whispering two words: "Thank you."

This whole situation was very new to me. But being kissed was too. I don't know what to say, the decades of solitude meant that I had nobody to be in relation with. Not too hard to conclude the meaning of this.
I knew that it's forbidden back on Earth, and the mob would torture me - but she wasn't an animal! She was a sentient, intelligent and emotional being, just like a human. Except that she was a weird colored unicorn-pony.

Still thinking about it made a few questions in my mind, but I put them aside as I imagined the possible future of our relationship.
A meme-face appeared before my eyes.

ME GUSTA

Half an hour later...

I was still caught in my thoughts. Dawnie was satisfied enough with that kiss and after the end of her thankful hug, she laid next to me, nuzzling me up. I put my left arm around her (she was on my left side) and hold her cozily. She fell asleep almost instantly.
If I think about it, it was like holding a life-size doll, but she was real.

My thoughts wandered off and I looked down at her. She was like a little grey angel.

'SOOOO CUUUTE!' My face twisted in a maniac-like smile as my heart wanted to jump out from my chest due to cuteness-overload.

She moved a bit, snuggling me more.
I closed my eyes and emptied my mind. I knew, there will be a lot of things to speak about tomorrow.

The next morning...

I awoke with an unfamiliar, warm pressure on my chest. Dawnie must have moved a lot in her sleep, she was lying on me, on her belly. I just looked at her, thinking about the rare color of her mane, the beauty of her eyes, her sweet smile, and I couldn't help but begin to smirk. I gently caressed her head with my right palm, making sure that she wouldn’t wake up.
She began to smile in her sleep which made me overload in cute yet again.

'Humpfh. She is so peaceful. How could she be with that pain she feels? Maybe... maybe because of me?'

Dawnie moved her head, her eyebrows moving up and down as I caressed her head.

'Oh, she is going to wake up soon. Quick, think about some funny greeting!'

She opened her eyes slightly and looked at me. After a few blinking, she focused and realized that she actually stared in my eyes from a few inches.

"Good morning, my little pony. Slept well?" I asked her mischievously.

As answer, she licked my lips, like a puppy. I don't have to say, this surprised me a lot.

'What the?'

She giggled, then answered, now with actual speaking. "Yes, you are my best pillow so far! Or should I say mattress?" She turned her head and checked if she did really lie on me.

"Uhm..." I was clearly out of words - what would you say now? I had a short sentence in my mind.

'You are being trolled!'

Seeing my loss of words, Dawnie continued.

"You know, I wondered about why you don’t have a cutie mark too." Say what? "You havent found your special talent?"

"Uhmmm.. Dawnie what the heck are you talking about?" I was totally confused.

"Your... cutie mark?" She asked back, like if I knew what that thing is.

"I don't know what that 'cutie mark' is." I punctuated the word 'cutie-mark', I hoped that she will understand my confusion.

"Wait, you say, that your species.. Hu-mans... Get no 'marks on them?" Now she was the confused.

"Eeee-yup!"

"Do your species have even special talent?" She rised her eyebrows in disbelief.

"Nnnnnope!"

"Can you answer me with more than a single word?" She made a slightly annoyed expression.

"No can do! Oh wait..." I said and sighed.

She giggled and planted a kiss on my cheek what made me blush.

"Are you hungry? I’ll make some breakfast now."

My stomach growled deeply as answer. We both laughed, and then she started to get out from the bed, only finding herself grabbed by me. I easily lifted her up after setting my hands under her forelegs, and then I got out of bed (still holding her) and put her down.

"Wow, you are short!" I said after releasing Dawnie - she was around 3 feet tall, maybe a little more.

"No, it's you gargantuan!" She said and grinned at me which I responded with a smile. "But you should lie back, you still need more rest."

"Oh. Right. Well, I will not go anywhere then."

I got in bed again, wrapping myself under the blanket. Dawnie walked to the door, opened it with her magic and went outside.

'She is beaming... did I do that to her?' I smiled with satisfaction. 'Well, who else could have done it? I wonder what will be my first breakfast. And if I can digest it.'

Chapter Five: Differences

When I watched sci-fis, I always had a serious question in mind. How the heck do they avoid getting sick by being on a different planet? Think about Stargate! Also, they speak English everywhere! That's just.. Unacceptable.
But even if we ignore this, then we still have a big problem. What about the food? Our digestive-system can digest various things. But not everything, think about grass or leaves.

And I just realized that, lying on the bed. She is a herbivore after all, what could she get to me to eat?

-Chapter Five-
.:Differences:.

I was in my thoughts as usual.

'I remember speaking with my father about people like her... He said that there is two kinds of lonely people... What was those two?...' I frowned and searched for the crumbs of this old conversation. 'Oh, yeah, the ones who can't open up after being lonely, and the ones who can and will do anything for being loved.' My expression changed into a sad one. 'So she is the second type then. I can't leave her hanging...'

With this I closed my eyes and cleared my mind, waiting for the breakfast. Then I realized that this breakfast could be inedible.

'Oh heck, noo..'

A minute later Dawnie opened the door, magicly levitating a plate in front of her, with... Cereal on it?

"Is this...?" I asked, not sure if the cereal are real.

She blinked. "What? You mean the cereal? Why?" She was confused.

"Uhm, not important."

She levitated the plate before me. I changed my position to sitting and grabbed the plate. It was really cereal, with milk.

'Awesome!' I thought and smiled.

"Oh, you like it, good!" She said and sighed in relief.

"Thank you Dawnie. And now, I will devour this within a minute." I said in a dead serious tone.

Dawnie, like if she wanted me to prove it, sat on her haunches, staring me with a waiting expression.

"You don't believe me? Just watch!" I said and begin the 'devastation'. I didn't realized that she also gave me a spoon, which is impossible, because they have no hands to use it... Oh, of course, magic, what else.
And as I said, within a minute, I was finished: the breakfast was gone: mostly in me, some of it on me.

"I'm impressed, Marty!" She giggled. "You eat like a piggy."

"Thank you very much, Dawnie." I said with a maniac-like expression.

"What kind of look is that?..." She asked and began to frown.

"Hm-hmm, nothing!" Can I use the bathroom?" Quick topic change, always works.

"Uhm, sure, follow me." She said and turned around.

"Aren't I supposed to be in bed for a while?" I asked her, realizing what I've been told.

"Well, looks like you are healing faster than the doctor thought."

I got out of bed and followed Dawnie. She walked through the door. But there was a problem.

"Uhm, Dawnie, this door is..." She looked back at me.

"It’s not the door, it’s you, You are too tall, Marty!" The door was as high is my chest.

"Alright, I feel like I'm in a hobbit-home.." I said, bending to get through the door.

"Sorry?"

"Uh, nothing."

Behind the door was a small corridor, with other doors in it. Dawnie led me to the door on the end of the corridor, opening it with her magic.
There was a small, but well equipped bathroom, with all things needed.

"Ohhh, I could use a shower!" I said and rushed into the bathroom, slamming the door behind me.

Few seconds later I realized what I have done and opened the door, finding Dawnie looking up at me, with an annoyed expression. She frowned, changing her expression into a waiting one.

"Uhm.." I knew there are no good words to say. So I quickly knelt down and kissed her on the lips, surprising her completely. "Sorry Dawnie." I said and stood up, turning back to the bathroom.

But when I grabbed the knob, the previously seen blue aura covered me and made me unable to move.

"D-dawnie, what are you doing?" I asked, a bit frightened. She had magic afterall!

I got no answer, but the magical grip moved me to face Dawnie. Although I was unable to move myself, except my mouth and eyes, and I saw her smiling, in a different way.

"Dawnie.. What are you doing?" I was concerned. Is she?...

"What? I thought you realized it already." Uh-oh. She gone psycho.

"Wait!" Last effort: activated.

"Yes?" She raised her eyebrows, making a questioning look.

"I really have to use the bathroom!" She blinked in surprise.

"Well, alright. But be fast."

'She’s totally gone nuts...' I turned around, walked into the bathroom closing the door behind me.

'What am I gonna dooo?...' While using the WC (they have water closets?) I thought about this thing, once again.

'Well... This isn't that bad! She is just going to rape me! Wait, that's bad.'

I heard Dawnie's impatient knocking.

"Almost ready!" I shouted. 'This is it.. Bye innocence...'

I washed my hands, dried them with a small towel I found, then opened the door.

"AAAAAAARGHH!!!" I shouted in fear. But something was off - I was still in bed and I had to go to the bathroom. "Was it just.. Just a dream?"

Dawnie opened the door, and rushed to me with a frightened expression on her face.

"Marty! What happened?" She asked after jumping up on the bed, stopping just a few inches before me, staring into my eyes.

"Nothing... I fell asleep while thinking and had a bad dream... Anyway, where is my breakfast?"

"Oh, good, I thought something bad happened. And about your breakfast.. I don't know what can you eat, I have seen that you have different teeth, so" She looked away from my eyes, like if she felt guilty.

"Well, what can you offer me? And you didn't tell me that you are this smart!" I caressed her head, she really liked it.

"Uhm, do you like eggs?"

"Eggs you say? You have chickens? Wait, are you living in a cottage?" Whohow, new information!

"Yes, no and no!" She smiled.

"Aaaaal-riiiight..." I wasn't sure what she meant, but then I realized. "oh, you mean that yes, eggs, but not from your chickens and this isn't a cottage! Riiight!" I slapped myself on my forehead.

"If you want to know, this house is near to the edge of the town, and I have to buy everything, as I have no animals or garden." Understandable. But why do they eat eggs?

"Hmmm... Oh, well, a few fried eggs would be wonderful. Oh, and I would like to use the bathroom, if it's possible.

"Alright, you should be in bed, but you heal fast, so follow me." She said and hopped off the bed.

'This is familiar... I hope it’s not the same.'

I got out of the bed, noticing that the only thing I was wearing was my underpants.

"Dawnie, did you..." I asked her, looking down at my only clothing. She stopped in her tracks and looked at me.

"Uhm..." She began to blush.

"Oh Dawnie..."

'Okay, that's it. I love her.'

Chapter Six: Fate

If you live in isolation for a while, and then think back to the time before, you will see how much you’ve changed. And if you leave this state of solitude, your friends or family will see that you have changed as well.
I don't know how Dawnie lived before, but in the little time I knew her, she changed a lot.

If I think back to the moment when I first woke up here, near death in the snow, I know, that I hadn’t really cared if I died or not. My life was meaningless, worse than an ant's - those little animals at least live and die for the sake of their queen (all ant workers are female).

But now... After this relatively short time...

-Chapter Six-

.:Fate:.

After a few seconds of awkward silence, I thought that it would be a good time to change topic

"So! How does your home look like then?" I already knew that the room where I've been was a relatively small one, with wooden floor and ceiling and yellow-ish walls (and some decoration). But one room can't describe the whole house, so my attention got higher.

"Uhm.. Oh, my home.. Right, follow me, I can show you around, and you said that you want to use the bathroom anyway.."

'Alright, my topic changes are horrible. Uh, whatever!'

I stood on my legs for a few more seconds, making sure that I wouldn't fall on my face. Then I took one step forward, and again - Dawnie was already at the door, opening it when I took these first steps.
Following her through the short door, lead me to a very familiar corridor with doors in it. Dawnie walked to the door in the end and opened it, revealing a small but well equipped bathroom.

Seeing all the too familiar things I stopped in my tracks and just stared at the bathroom, with a unquestionable expresssion, thinking one thing.

'Dafuq?'

Dawnie noticed my pause and looked up at me.

"Is something... Wrong, Marty?" I looked down at her, seeing her tilting her head cutely.

"N-no.." The only possibility that could answer this nonsense was that I could see the future in my dreams. Uh-hum. Suuuureee...

"Alright, I’ll go, make those eggs for you." She said and left me alone, thinking.

'Weird magical land with speaking technicolor minihorses, also with horns, using 'magic'. Now I'm seriously damaged, lying on a hospital bed in coma, or this is the reality and it apparently wants to make me crazy.'

I walked inside the bathroom, sitting down on the WC, in the same pose of Roden's statue, the Thinker.

'I can feel everything... This must be reality then. But this dreamy stuff is above any logic.'

The flashing words of 'cannot compute' filled my mind, breaking the thoughts.

"Oooo-Kay, I'm here to do the serious business!" I said and.... You know...

Twenty minutes and a shower later I felt like a new man - some parts of my body were still quite sore, but nothing looked bad on me. I wondered about the fast and almost flawless healing (healed frostbites?) and opened the door of the bathroom. The delicious smell of the eggs was everywhere. I sniffed in the air deeply and began to search the source of my breakfast.
After checking two doors (finding a storeroom and another bedroom, possibly Dawnie's own) I opened the door of the kitchen-dining room and saw Dawnie sitting at a table, waiting for me.

"Oh wow, awesome!" I said, surprised by the well equipped kitchen. There were several machines (I had no idea how they worked without electricity ---> magic) and the decorations were nice too: hand(?) painted plates, dishes and other stuffs, silver-looking cutlery and so on. But the best part was the table in the middle, with Dawnie sitting next to it. She smiled at me, and magicly levitated a topper up from its place, revealing a small stack of fried eggs.

"Bon apetite!" She said and leaned back a bit, staring me.

I don't have to say, I devoured the surprisingly delicious eggs within a minute, and frantically searched for more when I finished with the last one.
Realizing that there is no more I made a pleading look at Dawnie.

"Do you want more?" She asked and giggled on me.

"More. More! MOOOAARRR!!!! Uhm, sorry." My weird reaction made her cringe a bit, but she blinked a few times, then smiled again.

"Alright, I’ll make 'moar'!" She said with a cute smile, making me grin like an idiot.

A half dozen of eggs later I was full, first time in many years.
After thanking Dawnie, she suggested to get on some clothes (remember, only underpants) and go outside so she can show me her home and the city too.

Fortunately my sweater and pants were in good condition, and with some extra rugs under it (don't ask) my protection against the cold was acceptable.

"Hmm, I think I'm ready! Shall we?" I asked, trying to imitate the Spy from TF2.

"Yes we shall!" She answered happily and led me to the front door.

She gave me my shoes, and while I put them on, she wrapped a scarf around her neck and slipped in four boots (obviously made for her own kind). As finish she levitated a saddle like thing in front of her, then she put it on.
I made an uncomprehending expression.

"Why are you wearing a saddle?" I asked her finally.

"Uhm.. I don't understand." She frowned.

"This is a saddle you just put on."

"Yes. And?"

"Is there any kind of beings who use your species as a mount?"

She fall silent and blinked for a moment, then answered.

"No.. Why would you think that?"

"It's a saddle." In my point of view, it was more obvious than the sun-glasses on the sun itself, from the coke bottles.

"Alright, sure Marty. Let's just take this situation never happened." She was right. Moving on!

Stepping outside was pleasant, I had to stretch my legs anyway.
After a second I began to make some warm-up exercises, finishing with a few jumps, then began to run around Dawnie's home.
While I did this, she looked very surprised and, she started following me, keeping the pace.

I looked back, seeing her slowly getting tired after the sixth circle.

"You don't have to follow me, you know!" I said half loudly.

"But!.. But why are you running?" She asked, panting.

"I'm not running, I'm just jogging! Big difference. And because I don't want to lose my condition!"

She began to fall behind, after the twenty-third circle I reached her - from behind.
Thinking that it was enough, I stopped, slightly tired from the little jog.

"H-how.. Could you not be.. Tired?.." She asked me, sitting down on her haunches, heavily breathing.

"I used to jog around four to five miles daily. Anyway, you have a nice little home. The view is good from here."

"Y-yeah.. *huff* Do you want to go to the city?.." She slowly caught her breath.

"Hmm, why not?" Then something popped in my mind. "Wait, what happens if the other ponies see me? I'm still an alien here, you know..."

"I told them that I found you and the doctor who took care of your frostbites wasn't freaked out either, so I don’t think there will be a problem." She finished her sentence with a smirk.

"If you say so... Ooo-kay, to the town then!" I said, pointed to a random direction and began to march.

"Maaarty..." Dawnie's voice was slightly annoyed. "The town is that way."

I turned to her and saw her pointing the opposite direction.

"Whoops."

She facehoofed.

'Hm-hm. I already began to annoy her. If she can accept it, then I will have made my choice.'

Dawnie stood up shot me a serious look, then she laughed up, making me laugh too.

'Looks like it must be fate. She is the one for me.'

-Chapter Seven-

.:Outsider:.

As we walked, I was able to take a better look at my environment. The snowy landscape was beautiful: white hills, small groups of leafless trees, covered in snow, a frozen lake and the cobblestone road where we walked.
Even after ten minutes of walking I was still able to find something new and exciting about the scenery.

"Dawnie, you didn't tell me that you live in a paradise." I said as I looked down to her. She was on my left side, quietly walking at all times. While watching the landscape, I noticed her staring at me, but I didn't try to stop her, I don't know why. This situation was a tad weird.

"Believe me, this isn't a paradise at all. Life can be pretty harsh here. Especially now, in the winter. But if I think about it, it's not that bad." She began to smile, making me raise my right eyebrow.

"And why isn’t it that bad?" I suspected something.

"Well..." She never finished her answer.

We just walked slowly on the snow cowered cobblestone road, and the cold rain of the winter began to fell on us.

"It's snowing again." I said matter-of-factly.

"Yes, it is." She was in her thoughts, or something like this, when I looked down at her, her face was unreadable.

"You know Dawnie, I love winter. It's my favorite season." To prove my statement I stopped, searched for a bigger pile of snow, then jumped on it. With my experience of snow-building I quickly made a comfortable couch out of it.

"Marty, it's a bit cold to sit on it, you will get sick... Please come, we should go." I had no idea why she had changed her mood like this. I totally expected her to jump in the snow and play a snow fight with me, but this...

"Alright... If that’s what you want.." I shook my head in resignation and got out from my freshly made snow-furniture, following Dawnie.

Five more minutes later she stopped. I was surprised; we were walking like 2 mph, so she couldn't be tired. So something was on her mind what else could make her stop. What could it be?

"Marty?" She looked up, into my eyes. My answer was a raised eyebrow and a questioning expression. "I need to tell you something."

'Uh-oh, now comes the slap on the face!'

"Yyyes? What is it?"

"The town where we are going..." She sighed, then continued. "The ponies who live there.. They made me live alone."

This new information was shocking. Why would she go to the place where the people hate her?
I thought about this, but she continued her speech.

"But it's not their fault, it's because of me, I-" 'Not their fault? Not Their Fault?!?'

"Dawnie, how the heck couldn't it be their fault? If you aren't a creep, and you aren't, because you are the sweetest girl I know, then they have no right to say a thing about you! How could there be anyone this mean, to practically exile someone else, and how could it be an entire town? What is wrong with them?" My outbreak of speach was answered by an almost crying Dawnie. She sat on her haunches, and sniffed time to time while I spoke to her.

"You don't understand. I have a 'special condition'. And this made them act meanly to me." Her eyes started to tear up and a single teardrop rolled down on her sad and beautiful face.

"Wh-what special condition?" I had no idea what it could be. In my point of view she was totally normal. Heh, she was more than just normal to me, I had feelings for her.

"I thought you would figure it out by yourself."

'Wat?'

"Dawnie, I don't know what you are talking about." This all ‘I-know-something’ thing was annoying every single time, but this time it was just surprising.

"You don't know?" She frowned and made a slightly surprised expression. "But you don't have one too!"

'Have what?'

"Sure Dawnie. Would you please tell me what are you talking about?" I asked her and sat down, in front of her. She blinked a few then turned a bit and pointed to her flank. "I see nothing on your flank, Dawnie. Why do you point at it?"

"This is why. It's blank." Her expression saddened even more.

"Oh. Ooooh!!!" I realized what she was talking about. It was that cutie-mark thing that everyone gets if he or she finds his or her special talent. "Do you want to tell me, that they look at you like if you were a criminal, just because you don't have a weird tattoo on your flank?"

"Basicly... Yes." Now that's new. "Nopony needs a blank-flank. Not for a relationship or even as an employee."

"That's... Disgusting!" I spoke my heart, looking at somebody because of a thing like this... "Alright Dawnie, if they begin to take looks or something I will break bones if needed." And I was serious too. Also, if Dawnie is a full grown mature, then the biggest from her species can't be much bigger.

"No, Marty, it's... Just no, I can ignore them."

I know why and when would a girl say a thing like this. I leaned closer her, gently caressing her head.

"No. It leads to nowhere. Stand out for yourself. And if you can't, then I will."

There were tears in her dark-blue eyes, but she smiled. Looks like my skills with comforting people are still working.

"A-alright. But you don't have to break bones, you know!" She gave me a weak grin.

"Oh, Dawnie.. " I hugged her, then we continued our way, now in a faster pace.

"We are very close now!" She said - a few seconds, and a turn in the road later, we spotted the outskirts of the small city. "Windystone!..."

"Why would anyone call a city Windystone?" I asked and shook my head as I wasn't able to understand this.

"Hmm, I don't know. Anyway, I used to come here in every week for supplies, except the fact that they keep looking at me, the ponies here are nice."

"Really? Well, let’s see if that’s true." I thought about the possible reactions. If they react to Dawnie like this, what will they say about me?

"It should be okay, I told the doctor and he has probably told everypony about your presence."

"Oh? So they know that we are coming! Awesome..."

We reached the edge of the town.
As I looked around I saw a LOT of ponies everywhere, doing their business. What I wasn't prepared for, is to see different kind of ponies. Pegasi and 'normal' ones (without horns or wings), to be exact. I would've thought more about it, but I noticed them staring Dawnie and me.

"Hey.. Dawnie.." I said to her, quietly. "Do they act like this every time or?..."

"I'm afraid it's because of you, Marty." She gave me a sad smile.

"Alright. But if any of them is going to say a word.."
And like if the fate wanted, a punk-like stallion yelled at us.

"Hey look everypony, the blank-flank got a pet!" The ponies looked at us, now with full attention.

Normally, I never use violence. Making me angry is also hard work. But this guy... He made me mad immediately. Luckily I was able to hold myself back for a little more. So I walked over him, crouching down, slowly.
Once I was in his eye-level, I asked him.

"Why would you say this to her.. And me? Do you think that you will be a cooler guy?" I sounded more than dead serious. Years of practice. "You know, if there is anyone who could be called a pet, it’s YOU. And why?" As I spoke, I raised my voice so everyone was able to hear me, even from a bigger distance. "Because if you KEEP BEING SUCH AN ASSHOLE, I WILL PUT A COLLAR ON YOU."

After I shouted this at him (what made him cringe) I realized that this was almost the worse scenario to introduce myself. The punk-ish stallion was nowhere to be seen, and the other ponies were scared as well.

'Oh, heck no, what do I do, what do I do?!?'

I rose back to standing and began speaking again.

"Excuse my insulting and more than loud words, but I can't let myself and my friend be abased by some less intelligent individual. If any... Pony have some doubts, then I want to clear it: I'm friendly and I will not harm anyone."

By the looks, most of them accepted my presence. Some of them kept whispering to each other.
Ignoring them, I walked back to Dawnie. She cried.

"Oh, Dawnie, I'm sorry, I-I just-" She interrupted me.

"N-no Marty, I cry because of happiness."

"What?" Now that was an unforeseen possibility.

"Yes, nopony ever stood up for me. I can't be more happy now!"

"Really?" I hugged her.

We remain in our little embrace for a few more seconds, until we realized that everyone is staring us, yet again.
The difference was that they were smiling now.

Chapter Eight: Knowledge

View Online

As you already know, love is blind.
But what is love? (Baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more!)

The answer to this question was partially answered later on that day, and I also got an answer to my other question.
That question was the usual: why me? I'm an alien!...

-Chapter Eight-
.:Knowledge:.

"They are watching us and smiling, Dawnie." I whispered in her ear, and looked at the indeed smiling ponies.

"That's good, isn't it?" She broke the hug and looked in my eyes, tilting her head - and making me chuckle. She was so cute.

"If you say so!" I stood up, towering above everypony. I felt a kind of proudness being this tall. "So Dawnie, what happens now? Any exact ideas about what to do?"

"Well, yes, I wanted to show you the library now that we are here, I can do the other things that I planned later." She smiled at me and signed to follow her.

As we walked through the town, we were met with both smiling and whispering ponies, but I couldn’t be bothered to catch their quiet conversations. The important thing was to prevent myself from looking at Dawnie's flank.

'I wish I had sunglasses now!' I thought and imagined myself in them, biting on my lower lips.

Shortly after, we arrived to a large wooden building. It had a stylized book on its front, telling that this IS a library.

"Here! The Windystone city Library!" Dawnie announced cheerfully.

"I've seen bigger ones..." I looked up, to the top of the building and remembered the gigantic library back at my home city. Then I remembered other memories, but none from the last two weeks.

"Hm, I think there is a bigger one in Manehattan, but in this part of Equestria, this is the biggest." She said and walked inside the building.

"Uh-hum.." I was still in my thoughts.

In the library...

The interior of the library was organized and well kept, also it had the familiar smell of a library - tons of books, you know.
As we got inside, Dawnie's mood rose, and she almost immediately trotted to the librarian, who was an elderly unicorn stallion with silvery mane and pallid yellow coat (like the color of a very old newspaper). His cutie-mark (it's called this, right?) was a stack of books. Amazing.

"Good day Mr.Pages!" Greeted Dawnie with an ear to ear smile. Looks like he was the only other person in this town who accepted Dawnie as she was.

"Well hello, young one!" His voice was a bit hoarse.

"I want to introduce a new... Friend of mine, Mr. Pages!" She signed to me with her right forehoof so I walked to them.
When I stopped in front of him, the old stallion looked at me, carefully watching every little detail of me. Then he darted his faint-blue eyes to mine, looking in my soul.
Not knowing what to do, I lifted my right hand, offering a hand/hoof shake.

"Uhm, hello, my name is Martin O'Donell... Nice to meet you..."

After a few seconds, he responded finally, shaking my hand.

"Pages. My name is Yellow Pages. Pleasure to meet you, O'Donell.

'Is this guy serious? YELLOW PAGES? Dafuq??? What will I find next time, a pony with two hearts, and a clock or something cutie-mark, called The Doctor? Or maybe Doctor... Whooves?'

"Just call me Martin." Fortunately, my expression didn't change.

"Alright, Martin. I have a few questions for you." He wrinkled his eyebrows, making a serious expression.

"Uhm.. Okay?"

"For first, what are your species? Second, how did you get here? Third, what did you do to Violet?" His voice was calm but a bit threatening.

"One, I'm a human. From planet Earth. Two, I have no idea, I partially lost my memories. Three, I think I gave her something she missed for a long-long time."

He slowly raised his left eyebrow, questioningly.

"And that is?..." He asked.

"Love."

His expression changed from suspicious to happy. Looks like he cared about Dawnie, like a father. Or sort of.
When Dawnie heard my answer, she looked up at me. I noticed this and when I checked that what is she doing, I found her crying again. I crouched down and opened my arms, invitingly.
She jumped at me, by the word, almost tackling me to the floor.

In the next few hours the trio of us had spent the time discussing about the happenings in the city, then Mr. Pages gave me the short version of Equestrian history. When I asked about the very beginnings, he told me that he didn’t know, the oldest artifacts were weird unnatural contraptions, made out of various materials - all of them located in a valley a few hundred miles away from Windystone.

Noting this up in my memory, we continued the conversations, until nightfall.

"Looks like we’ll have to go home in the dark." I said as I looked through a window. Mr. Pages has lit the candles all around the library, giving it an intimate look.

"Yeah... We should go before it gets even darker." Dawnie stared through another window, then she blinked and looked at Mr. Pages. "I really enjoyed talking with you again, Mr. Pages." She smiled at him.

"I'm looking forward to see you again, young one." He turned to me. "And I could show you some other things if you are still interested, Martin."

"Yeah, yeah, I would love to hear more info if I'm gonna be stranded here!" I smiled at him, then extended my right arm again. "Until next time, Pages!"

He snorted, then responded to my hoof-shaking offer. Smiling my courage to call him just Pages.

"Have a safe trip back home!" He said, then waved a goodbye.

Dawnie and I left the library, finding practically no one in the streets.
As we walked on the snowy road back to Dawnie's place, I noticed the sound of multiple foot-(or in this case hoof) steps.
Turning around my suspicion became true: a small gang of punk-like ponies were behind us, 20-30 meters away, giving us angry looks.

"I have a very bad feeling about this." I said and prepared myself.

Chapter Nine: Courage

View Online

If you see someone that needs help, what do you do? Go up to him/her and ask about the problem?
If no, then what if the one who needed help was you?
Think about it.

When standing in front of a bunch of angry punk-ish figures, the only thoughts I had were to save Dawnie and don't let anything happen to her.
I was alone, I saw faces in the windows... But I was alone. No one would come to help.

-Chapter Nine-
.:Courage:.

The seconds passed like hours. Finally, the leader of the small gang stepped closer. He was the same pony who got a little shouting from me. And he was clearly more than upset.

"You think you can just yell at me?" He asked, half-shouting. "You don't know who you ar-"

His idiotic speech was interrupted by my right foot in his chest.
Normally, I would choose diplomacy, but this kind of man, I mean pony won’t have any sense to it, also, I had a little chance to scare them.

The force I used to kick him was big enough to send him fly - he tackled the biggest member of his group and because there was no screaming in pain, he could've fallen in unconsciousness.
Seeing my extremely quick reaction and, well, power, the other 5 members of the gang (there were 7 of them) just looked at me in surprise.
Then one of them cried up and tried to kick me with his back hooves (like a horse would) - no avail. His pathetic yell alerted me so I had time to step back and when he kicked out his legs, I grabbed them.

The sudden change of the attacker's role made its effect.
I swung the previously attacking stallion around, throwing him at another one.
At this point all of them jumped on me.

Have I told you before? I can switch off the pain in me for a short time. But it has its cost.

The first one tackled me, sending me to the ground, where the second one would stomp on me - but I rolled away and got to my feet quickly.
I don't know how, but a baseball bat suddenly appeared in the mouth of one of my attackers.
Thanks to having five digits, when he swung it to hit me, I grabbed the bat and punched him in the face. He let the bat away, with a few tooth of his.

"Dawnie! RUN!" I yelled at her. She was standing in the same place all along, probably because of the shock. Fortunately my shout snapped her out of it and she gave me a very anxious expression. "NOW!!!" I yelled again. She waited for one more second, then turned around and ran away.

The situation was this: The 7 membered gang had heavy losses: an unconscious leader, three on the ground, getting up, one who got a fine punch in his face and two others ready to attack. And there was me, with a base-ball bat and bruises because of the close encounter with the ground.

Something popped in my mind. With all the danger I had to handle and pain to ignore, the funny part of my mind worked. And I imitated the Scout from Team Fortress 2.

"Who wants some-a this? Bonk!" I imitated his moves too.

The 2 attack ready stallion was surprised and confused by this, but they charged at me a second later.
I cried up.

"Eat my dust!" I turned around quickly and began to run.

Running in a city at night was almost an everyday routine for me. The air was cold, my lungs burned, my throat had ice-crystals on it, but I kept running. The 5 remaining members of the punk-ish gang still chased me, but I was (I don't know how) faster. By a sudden idea I imitated the Scout again.

"Wanananana..." The empty streets echoed my voice so it was more cool than I expected.

"You can't run forever! We will get you!" one of them shouted. They were beginning to fall behind.

'Looks like jogging every day is really paying off!'

After a minute I still heard their rushed hoof-steps somewhere behind me, but I was out of their sight.
Looking for a good hiding place I realized that I was in the market-place of the city. Quickly climbing on a wooden stand's top, I sat down, and tried to rest a bit.

To my usual bad luck, half minute later one of them trotted through the market-place, but he didn't notice me.

'Oh-hoo, idea!'

When he got close to me, he stopped, panting. You can imagine my face. Evil grin.
Climbing down like a ninja wasn't enough. I walked behind him, then poked his head with my bat (yes, I stole it, it's mine) then said.

"Yo, what's up?" He slowly turned his head, looking at me.

"You sonov-" And he was cut short by a nicely sent bat-hit on the head.

"Two out, five more!" I thought for a moment. "Do I even have to deal with them?"

As answer I heard several hoofsteps coming in my way.

"Ohh, not again.."

I began to run, not leaving my trusty bat behind.

About five minutes later I was back at the place where I last saw Dawnie. Because my chasers totally lost me, I followed Dawnie's trace. To my luck, those punks were dumb enough to not follow her before.
Not too much time later I was in the middle of the way, back to Dawnie's distant home.

The cobblestone road was still surrounded by snow, the grey clouds and the full moon behind them gave a pretty good lighting. And this was the moment when my pain-lock went offline.

The pain in my side was big, but the freezing limbs were even worse.

"Oh, not again, I don’t want to be in bed for days again!" I said aloud and quickened my pace.

In the distance I saw the lights of the little house. She was in her home, waiting for me.
A word formed in my mind.

'Home.'

Chapter Ten: Home

What is the first thing you think when you hear 'home'? Most people would think about the house where they grew up, some think where they live at the moment.
But if you get to a new place and you have the home-feeling, and you call that place a home, then there has to be something, something that made you go there. Destiny? Faith? A transcendent being? None or both? Who knows...

-Chapter Ten-
.:Home:.

I was just a few steps away from the front door when it opened, revealing an anxious Dawnie.
When she saw me, her face lit up, then she jumped on me, almost tackling me. Thanks to my fast reflexes I was able to catch her, so I hold her in my arms as she hugged me.

"I thought you would never come back!" She said, burying her cute face in my chest.

"What kind of man would I be if I left you alone, huh?" I joked and let out a small chuckle.

She loosened her embrace and looked up at my face. Her expression was mixed.

"You aren't hurt, are you?" She asked and let me go fully. After her last question she backed away a few steps, inspecting me and noticing the dirty hoofprints on my sweater.

"No, nothing serious, don't be afraid." Spotting her yet again anxious expression wasn't too hard. True, my side, where those bastards hit me, was in pain, but I was able to impersonate the Scout, and I also got a baseball bat.

'Totally worth it!'

I crouched down and looked in Dawnie's eyes.

"Hey, check this.." I showed her the bat. "They can't hurt me, they are the ones who's been hurt." The smile I gave to her reassured her a bit.

"Alright... Did you really hit them with it?" She raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"Uhm... Yeah?" Now I was the surprised.

"Do you want a better bat than this one?" She tilted her head and smiled .

"Well.. Yeah, this is a very crude one, and it's not even for my hand. You can make a new or what?"

While I answered her, Dawnie turned around and walked back into her house. When I finished my question, she was inside, and waited for me to follow which I did, in slowly paced steps.

"I'm an unicorn, I have magic." She pointed to her horn with her right foreleg's hoof. "I can refurbish your bat in seconds."

"Wow. What's next, teleport?"

As answer she disappeared in a flash of light and appeared behind me.

"Yeah, I can do that too."

"Whataff-" This teleporting thing surprised me enough to trip in my own leg, so I fall to the floor. After a second of close examination of the hardwood floor, I sighed and spoke up. "Thanks Dawnie.."

"Oh Celestia I didn't wanted to scare you! I'm sorry!" She rushed to me and turned me to my back.

As she looked down on me, her dark-purple mane fell on my face, gently tickling me. Her beautiful eyes were so close I was able to see my own face in them, but in the second, something else was in my head instead of looking at myself.

"Dawnie..." I took a big breath. "You don't have to apologize."

I put my hands on the sides of her head and drew her closer, then kissed her.

We were in the kitchen, I sat on a chair, while Dawnie was making tea. Being outside, in the cold with no proper clothing made me cold so when she offered to make me some tea I accepted it gladly.

"Marty, you should put off those clothes, they look wet." She said as she turned to me and levitated the steaming pot of tea with two mugs to the table.

"It's not that wet, I'm sure they will be dry within an hour." I took my mug and Dawnie poured some tea in it. "Wait..."

I realized that there could be two meaning behind Dawnie's words.
I looked at her with a suspicious expression and a raised eyebrow.

"What?" She asked grinning then she sipped from her mug of tea.

"You want something, rrrriiight?" And I already know what it is.

"Maybe. Maybe not. You'll see in time." She giggled then looked away.

'Omg, what to do, what to doooo?'

"Oooo-kaay, I-I will just go in my room, taking these clothes off.. Uhm.." I stood up and blinked by the awkwardness of the situation. Before turning to the door what led to the small corridor, I took a last look on Dawnie.
And she was different. She was.. Lighter.. Her coat was alabaster instead of grey, and her mane was almost pink. Also, her eyes were sky-blue.

'What the.. Heck happened to her?' I thought and went through the door, closing it behind me.

After walking in my room and sitting on the bed, I thought about all things about her. Then I realized that I should really take off the clothes, as the unpleasant wetness started to annoy me. Yeah, rolling in the snow is not the best idea. But for my life...

Taking off the sweater and the pants wasn't too hard, it only took half a minute. Then I lied on my bed, thinking and staring at the ceiling.

'What if.. What if her change in color have connection with her mood or something? Hmmm...'

I closed my eyes and thought about the mood-rings back on Earth but got nothing useful.

'Uhh, let's just put it under the big folder of magic.' Easiest way.

"Yeah, whatever." I said finally.

"What is whatever?"

Dawnie's voice come from mere inches. This surprised me so much, I practically jumped out of the bed, landing on the floor between the bed and the door. But my landing was as unfortunate as myself in the most times - I had a chance to see the floor getting close in slow-mo before fainting. Yes, I hit my head, pathetic, I know.

I awoke. First I didn't know where I was, but opening my eyes ended this. The room's ceiling stared back at me, so I was in my bed. Or on the floor. Looking down cleared this too, I really was in my bed.
Looking down also revealed a peacefully sleeping Dawnie next to me. My first reaction was a D'awwww themed smile. Then I saw her face (she faced me, hugging my left arm). She smiled, cutely. This made me D'awwww aloud, what woke her up immediately.

"M-Marty? Are you alright?" She asked as she focused her eyes on my face.

"Yes, I'm fine. Just.. Don't surprise me again, okay?" I smirked after finishing the sentence.

"Y-yeah, and sorry about that.." She blushed (probably in shame) and looked away.

"Dawnie it's okay. Nothing serious happened."

'Well, I have a headache, but it's not that bad.'

"Alright.. Hey, Marty.." She looked in my eyes again.

"Hmm?"

"When you were unconscious, I thought about this thing between... Us.." She blushed yet again.

"Aaaand?" I smiled at her warmly, I knew that she wanted to say something big.

"Uhm... Do you think if we can?.. You know?.." She gave me an innocent expression.

"What? You mean?.." She nodded. "Oh Dawnie.."

'Now this is new. And I don't know if I want to handle the consequences.'

.:Defense:.

Dawnie acted immediately and climbed on top of me. I made no resistance, honestly I wanted to do it too, but I had some doubts about the rightness of this whole thing.
She tried to pull off my underpants and she would have done it, but a sudden, noise stopped her.

"What was that?" I asked, surprised and slightly annoyed.

"It came from the front door... I think somepony broke in!" Dawnie looked in my eyes. She was frightened.

"Where is my bat?" I asked determinately.

"Uhm, here, after I put you in bed I improved it." Her horn got covered in the familiar, but now lighter magical aura and she levitated a brand new looking metal baseball bat to me. I grabbed it out from the thin air.

"Wow. How did you?.." She slipped off of me so I was able to get up. "This is amazing!"

"Magic, I told you..." I swinged the bat before me, then looked at Dawnie.

"Now I will bonk the heck outta them!" A grin creeped on to my face. "Just gimme my clothes."

"She hopped off the bed and grabbed my (now dry and clean) clothes with her magic, giving them to me.

After fighting myself in them, I walked to the door, quietly opening it.
The little corridor was empty, but the door which separated it from the small room of the front door began to open.
I knew that I had to be fast. Luckily I managed to get at the door with two big jumps so I was behind it, waiting for the intruder.

The door opened halfway and a familiar head peeked in. He was the same punkish gang-leader who got a nice kick from me earlier.

"Peek-a-boo!" Perfect imitation of the Spy again. He had no time to react; I swung my bat and hit his head, sending him into the blackness of unconsciousness.
Dawnie heard the loud clanging sound followed by the thud of the collapsing body, so she peered throught the door of my room, and gasped when she saw the gang-leader on the floor.

"Stay calm Dawnie, I'll handle this!" I said and walked through the door (and the leader) just to see the big one from his gang. "Well hello!" He growled at me. I would be frightened by an almost equally tall blood-red stallion, but not with a metal baseball bat in my hands.

"AAAAAARRGGGHH!!!!!" He charged at me, giving me some time to swing my bat yet again.
Don't need to tell, he lost a few teeth and consciousness as my well-aimed strike hit him on the head.

"Oh come on, it's too easy!" I shouted, expecting the remaining members of the gang. The front door was in two piece (with hoof-marks on it) so I could have looked outside, but I didn't seen anything.

"Marty, are they gone?" Dawnie asked me - she walked behind me in the meantime.

"I don't know. I think they are planning something. Oh, can you tie these two idiots up with a strong rope or something?" I poked the side of the big one.

"Sure, just give me a minute and they will b-" She was interrupted by the shattering crash sound of the window in the kitchen.

"How lame... Alright, take care of these two, I will take care of the rest." She nodded and I walked to the kitchen's door. Opening it revealed three more gang members. "You guys again? Just give up and no one will get hurt!"

My offer found deaf ears and all of them charged at me. With a quick side jump I got out of their way. The kitchen was small but I managed to get a relatively big distance between them by rushing behind them, to the window. Also, I spotted a stainless steel pot on the furnace - I put it on my head and hit it three times, yelling a battle cry.
The three attacker after their missed charge and short recover was surprised by the thing I just did.

"This is my territory and you are NOT welcome in it!" Soldier, who else, the imitation was almost perfect yet again. But the reactions were different this time, they just charged at me.
Kicking the table at them was easy, one of them wasn't fast enough and crashed in it, breaking through the not too thick wooden table-top, losing consciousness immediately. The other two simply jumped up - the left one jumped through the window, leaving the kitchen, the right one had a nice meeting with my bat.

"Bon voyage!" I said and laughed.

"What the?!?” Said the one who had jumped through the window. I looked at him, he spinned around and had a very confused expression. It made me burst into laughter again.

"Why don't you just give up?" I asked him. His blue-coated face went red in anger and he almost began to attack again when I shouted at him. "HEY! Listen to me blue one! All of your friends is out thanks to me so I would really just go away in your place. For the sake of your teeth and consciousness."

He gave me a confused look, but then he thought about what I said. Few seconds later he shook his head and ran away.

"Clever."

After this little fight I walked back to the corridor, finding Dawnie still tying the knocked out punks.

"How you doing?" I asked her, smiling.

"I never had this much action in my life!" She said excitedly.

"Well.. You don't want to see the kitchen. And the front door."

"Let me guess.. Everything is in pieces?" She sighed. "Nice hat."

"Uhm.." I looked up at my shapeshift hat of the stainless steel pot. "Yeah, protects my cranium and heats soup. Comes in handy!" I chuckled and put it off.

"Are they gone finally?" She asked with a little fear in her voice.

"Yup, definitely, the last one just ran away a minute ago."

'That look on his face, PRICELESS!!!'

"And what should we do with these?.." She poked the head of the leader.

"I have an idea..."

The leader woke up. The still intense waves of pain hit him immediately, but he managed to suppress it. He opened his eyes finding everything upside down.

"Wha?.. Where am I? Hello?" He asked quietly.

"Welcome in the land of failed revenge, moron!" I said, walking in his sight.

"Let me go or I will-" I interrupted him.

"You will what? Think with that peanut sized brain and look around! I'm the one who rules now!"

He blinked and looked around, finding the other members of his gang hanging down from.. Tree branches? They were outside and it was daytime already.

"See? Now, promise me that you or your pathetic gang will not come back or try anything!" I shouted in his face, inches away.

"You can't force me!" He said angrily.

"Nooo? Then say goodbye to your BALLS." I emphasized the last word intentionally as I raised my right arm, the trusty bat in my hand.

"OKAYOKAYOKAY!!! I promise just don't hit me!" The sudden change of mind made me smile.

"Good! But if you try ANYTHING... I will find you. Dawnie, let them go."

Dawnie nodded. She was there all along and watched my almost dramatic performance. With a single flash of her horn, the ropes disappeared and the gang-members fell on the snowy ground.

"Now.. Get your pals up and go the hell outta here!" I said menacingly.

He got on his hooves and tried to wake his comrades. Dawnie and I just walked away and when we got out of earshot both of us burst in laughter.

"This guy is hilarious. I don't know how he could become the local tough-guy!" I said, and let out another burst of laughter.

"Me neither.. Maybe you are just simply tougher than any of them?" Dawnie looked at me and when I turned my head to look back, she stopped me and pulled me down, to her eye-level.

"Dawnie, what are-" She interrupted me with a quick kiss, then she looked in my eyes, blushing.

"I guess the action with them made you want the other kind of action, right?"

She nodded.

As we walked back to Dawnie's home I fall in my thoughts as usual. Bringing the gang in the middle of the frozen forest was a good joke and they honestly deserved it, but I felt a slight remorse.

"You know... This thing with the ropes and stuff was fun but..." I said to Dawnie who were smiling and beaming in happiness. The white snow made her bright colors even shinier.

"You mean we shouldn't leave them in the forest?" She asked and cutely tilted her head.

"Yeah... Ah, they came to our place, they..." I just realized what I said. 'Our' place. Dawnie noticed it too.

"Did you said our?" She asked and her smile turned into a grin.

"Y-yes..." My mind spinned up and made up almost all possible outcomes.

'Well... This is not that bad...'

Soon we reached her friendly little home.
The damages caused by the gang was completely repaired thanks to Dawnie - I have no idea how could she do such a thing like she did, I thought it had something with time reversing.. Well, magic, whatever.

When we got inside and I closed the front door, she stopped in front of me (yes, I let her in first, I'm a gentleman) and slowly turned around. She had a weird expression on her face.

"Dawnie you scare me!" I said and truly, she looked like a maniac.

"Heh-heh-heh..." She took a step to me.

Her horn lighted up in the familiar magical aura and I felt my right hand grabbed by it. I knew what will happen.

'The resistance is futile...'

She led me into her bedroom. It wasn't too different from mine, the things I should mention was a picture of (probably) her parents on her night-stand, it was two unicorns, smiling, holding the little Dawnie in their hooves. The other mentionable thing was a gigantic bookshelf which occupied an entire WALL.
After this quick looking around she magically yanked me to the bed - she got on it while I checked my surroundings.

"Marty. I think you know what to do." She warmly smiled at me and gave me the 'bedroom eyes'. (You know what is that!)

After a few quick blink I answered. "Yes. I know. And you know what? I'll enjoy it!"

Hours passed after it.

Dawnie was in an embrace with me, sleeping peacefully. If I could, I would smoke a cigar, smiling satisfied.
Well, what do you expect for a first timer?
I looked down at her.

'So beautiful... So innocent.. Hmm, well, no longer innocent but still beautiful.'

Leaning closer I kissed her forehead then took a more comfortable position and began to sleep.

When I woke up in the next morning, I felt like my life was complete.
A place where no one can beat me (heheh), a nice home and someone to love... What else could I wish for?
I let out a big, satisfied sigh.

"Mmmmmhh?..." Dawnie shifted her position and looked up in my eyes. By the looks she had been awake for a while.

"Good morning sunshine!" I kissed her on her nose, almost mockingly.

"Morning!" She rubbed her nose and gave me a beaming smile. "Do you want some breakfast or should we stay here for a bit more?"

"Well.. You took a lot of energy out of me so I say that we should make an agreement between the two: staying in the bed for twenty more minutes, then breakfast!" Sometimes I can make a good idea like this.

"Sounds good!" She began to cuddle me which I responded.

After around twenty minutes I began to slowly get out of the bed, stretching. When I heard my bones making satisfying popping sounds, I smiled and looked back at Dawnie. She just hopped down from the bed, and was on her way next to me.

"I could eat cow... Do you have cows here in Equestria?" I looked down at her, finding her making a 'seriously?' face. "Alright-alright it was just a joke... Dawnie?.." I spotted something on her.

"Yes? What is it?" She asked, rising her right eyebrow. I slowly moved my right arm, pointing to her flank. "What is.. It..."

There was a heart like symbol on her flank, a cutie-mark. It was a small purple heart in the middle of a lighter and bigger purple one. When Dawnie realized what just appeared on her, she began to scream and jumping around like a little kid would.

"I got it I got it I got it!!!" She screamed and jumped on me. Because I wasn't prepared for the sudden tackle-hug, she sent me down on the ground. "Marty! I got it!" She squealed like a little girl and hugged me almost painfully.

"Yeah.. You got it.. I need air.." She stopped for a second then loosened her death-grip like hug. She looked in my eyes. I swear I saw sparkles in them, she was happier than ever.

"Marty.."

"Yes?"

"Thank you." She kissed me on the lips, passionately.

I just sat in the kitchen, munching on an unearthly delicious apple, thinking about the things that just happened.

'Well, this world is way better than anything I could wish for... Still I will miss the internet. And TF2. I worked so hard for those hats.'

Dawnie walked into the kitchen, smiling and humming a nice tune.
"What is this song?" I asked, interested in the catchy tune.

"Oh, nothing, me and my parents used to sing this in the end of the winter, when we got rid of the snow and other things."

"Interesting. So, what we are gonna do now? I have a few ideas to-" A knocking could be heard from the front door. "Do.. Who can be it?" I was surprised; Dawnie lived alone with little to no visitor.

"I don't know... Come, let's see." She turned around and walked to the door and stopped at it, waiting for me.

"Right." I stood up and followed her.

The few seconds of walking to the frontdoor later, the unknown visitor repeated the knocking.

"I'm coming!" Dawnie said, happily.

She magically opened the door and revealed somepony, somepony very unexpected.

Sometimes life can give you big joys. But sometimes these joys come with things which you don't want to even think about.

-Chapter Thirteen-
.:Consequences:.

Dawnie's jaw fell when she saw the unexpected visitor. I was surprised too, but obviously for other reasons.
What I saw wasn't more than a (compared to the others) big unicorn mare with… Wings. Her coat was white and her mane was the negative colors of the rainbow - and to increase my surprise, it flowed in an unexistent wind. She was almost motherly in appearance but intimidating in a level.

"Uhm... Hello?" I said, trying to break the awkward silence. Luckily that was enough to snap Dawnie out of her shock, so she spoke up.

"P-p-princess Celestia!" Her eyes were still as wide as possible.

'Oooh, so she is that princess! Riiight.. Wait.. Why is she here?... This can't mean anything good.'

While I thought about this, Dawnie bended herself in a deep bow. I only noticed it when the princess began to speak.

"Rise my little pony. You are Violet Dawn, aren’t you?" She tilted her head and put on an almost quizzical smile.

'Wow. Is she... Trolling? Really?'

"Y-yes princess it's me." Dawnie's voice was as frightened as herself.

"Then you must be the human." She said and looked in my eyes. She was around my tallness so it wasn't exactly hard for her.

"Yes, I'm a human, but the only one here so, yes, the human. My name is Martin O'Donell." I finished my introduction with a nod. I never bow to anyone.

She looked through me, inspecting every little inch of me, like if she searched for a hidden weapon or something like this. Then she hummed and her horn lit up in a magical aura.

"Uhmm.. What are you doing?" I asked her, by the looks nothing got levitated like when Dawnie used her magic.

"Searching through your memories and mind." She said flatly.

"Wait what?!?" My anger began to build up. If I could bite for anything, then it was my personal thoughts and memories. "Who do you think you are! I gave you no permission 'princess'! Get out of my head!" At the end I almost shouted.

"Marty please calm down.." I heard Dawnie speaking but her message didn't got in my head. The princess' magic still worked and I actually felt something in my head, like a headache, but it moved around.

"Alright, you wanted it, now you got it!" I concentrated on the goriest things I've ever seen and imagined to rummage through it like if it were sand or something.

"Bwaah!" The princess' reaction was almost immediate. Her expression turned to a disgusted and slightly angry one.

"I told ya!" I crossed my arms on my chest, sending her warning glares.

"So you are truly as violent as they said." Her expression went flat.

"W-what?!?" This was stunning. "What the heck are you talking about?? You were the one who just jumped in my head without permission!!!"

Like if she understood what I wanted to say, she raised her head a bit.

"Hmm. Sorry about that human, would you be so kind and let me in then?" She was annoying.

"No."

"And why not?" She said raising an eyebrow.

"Because you act like you have the rights to do anything. I heard that you are the ruler of this place, Equestria, but I'm not from here, I'm not even from this world so you have no power on me." I sighed. "But, I heard that you are kind and stuff." I remembered the things we read about Equestria, back in the library. "So prove me this fact. And don't look at me this pissed."

It was another foolish habit of me, making fun of a superior even if it could lead to harsh consequences.
But all along I didn't noticed Dawnie's inefficient tries to stop me being.. Well, me. She poked my leg, called my name and so on: no avail.
As her final attempt she cried up, surprising both me and the princess.

"ENOUGH!!!"

"Wow. Dawnie... Why the shout?" I looked down at her. At the moment I had no idea. Then I looked back up on the princess, finding her looking at Dawnie too.

"Alright, that's it, I won’t stand out here anymore, princess, come in." Sudden change of topic - always works.

The princess blinked then looked at me, slowly moving inside. I thought that she were in her own thoughts.
Caressing Dawnie's head I lead her and Celestia to the kitchen so we could sit down.
After taking the seats, and rearranging my attitude, I began to speak.

"So, princess.. Excuse me and my bad behavior before, I don't like to be controlled." I said and put on a friendly smile.

"It's alright, I would do the same in your place." She said and responded the smile.

'I doubt that...'

"Why, If I can ask?"

'Wat.' I blinked in surprise. Mind reading? Alright. 'Very funny princess. Get outta my head or I'll spam you with something you don't want to see.'

She made a 'prove me' expression.

'I warned ya!' I thought about the most hardcore sexual things I've ever seen. But the reaction was... Uhm...

*Pop!*

Her wings unfurled with that weird sound. Also, her face went red.

'What the... Ewww... What kind of princess are you?..' I thought and because she read my mind, she made the equivalent of the 'awesome-face'.

About Dawnie: she just sat there, watching our faces and getting more and more confused about what's going on.

"Soo... May I ask, why are you here? I can only think of two reasons." One: the punkish gang went to cry to mommy; two: she needs to do something to me, like sending me back to Earth or something.

"I'm here because several subjects of me reported that you harassed them, and in finals, you attacked them."

"Just as I thought. Let me guess, it was a gang of seven stallions?” I closed my eyes and rubbed them.

"Why yes, how did you know?"

"Because they were the gang who attacked Dawnie and me. In the end, thanks to Dawnie, I beat them. I want to emphasize that THEY attacked US. Dawnie can prove it if my word isn't enough."

"I have no doubt in this, besides I’ve already read her mind." At this, Dawnie's face went red. Probably she thought about last night. I just facepalmed.

"Right... Anyway... If you know that I'm innocent, then why are you here?" I looked in her eyes, waiting.

"Because I can send you back."

Minutes passed. It felt like millennia’s.

'Back to.. Earth? Home?...' A sudden wave of homesickness flashed through me. Then I realized. 'No.. I have no place there. This is my home. But..' And the 'epic' fight began in my mind. Old home vs. new home.

"I’ll give you a day to decide. Farewell, Marty." Celestia stood up, then in a flash of light, teleported out of the room.

"Marty?" Dawnie was frightened. She saw my face, the emotions waving through it. And she knew what it meant.

I just looked at her, not knowing what to say. I felt guilty.
She began to sob, tears appeared in her eyes, then she ran out of the kitchen, leaving me alone, feeling worse than ever before.

'What should I do?...'

Author's note: Thanks to Clockwork for the proof-reading and for BotB who did all the proof-reads before.
2nd note: you'll notice that it's in present - think about the beginning of the story. Get it now?

It has to come. You can't do anything against it. The end... Will happen. Nothing matters.
You can do your best, be the boldest, but it isn't a matter when the end comes.
My story is coming to an end. Here I am, sitting in the kitchen in Dawnie's house. She ran away and I have a day to choose.
Life is just... Not fair... I can do a lot of things back on Earth that I can't here... But she is here... I have to clear my mind.

-Chapter Fourteen-
.:End:.

Silence has fallen. I'm unable to hear anything but the sound of the falling snow outside.

'It's snowing again.'

I have to think. Suddenly, I get an idea. What if I go to the place where I woke up first?
This sounds reasonable, I stand up and leave the kitchen, get my clothes on and get out of the house.

Finding my own, old footprints in the snow was a bit of a challenge, but I found them.
Now, I walk on the path to where I came from first. The forest isn't too familiar, maybe because I was about to die when I struggled through it first time.
As the time passes I remember the things from my past. I had no life, but I know I have things to do on Earth.
Important things. Then I arrive where the tracks start.
A little, snowy clearing. The snow is falling, and I look up. Greyish, white clouds, same as everywhere else.
I’m cold. I shake myself a bit and rub my hands together, I didn't noticed the real coldness until now.

"How did I get here?" I ask to no one in particular. There is absolutely nothing here, just the snow and the sleeping vegetation. "Why am I here?" Now I'm a little louder. I feel the emotions roaming through my mind. Looking around once more, I notice the spot where I had originally lain when I woke up first. I lie down on the snow.

"Why has all of this happened to me?" I have no idea. I close my eyes. The hidden emotions erupt and I began to cry. All my memories are coming up, and I can't do anything against it. I want to go home.

About fifteen minutes passed. I'm covered in snow now. It’s familiar. I get up, and begin to move, back on the way to where I came from. My fingers and toes are screaming in pain, the freezing cold has taken its toll on me.

'I have to get back, fast.'

I switch from walking to jogging. A few minutes later, I'm at the front door of Dawnie's house, staring at the
doorknob. My thoughts are about Dawnie herself. Should I leave her alone? No. But I'm not the part of this world. I can't stay.
Opening the door, the warmth of the house relieves me. I put off my shoes and walk to my room. I have no courage to speak with her now. My room is all the same, nothing changed, but what would? I just walk to the bed and collapse on it. I don't want to think.
The time passes. Seconds, minutes, hours. At some point, I could fall asleep, because now it's dark outside.
I turn my head to see the window. Faint, greyish light. Darkness everywhere. I have a sudden idea. I get up and walk to the door. Taking a last big breath I open it and head to Dawnie's own room. Opening it I find
Dawnie in her bed, sleeping. I walk to her and notice that she cried, a lot. There are tears in her eyes now.

'I can't leave her... There’s no way I can... But...'

I just silently lie next to her, embracing her and falling in a sorrowful sleep.

The pain of the morning has come. I open my eyes and get a mini heart-attack. Dawnie is staring in my eyes. After realizing what the situation is, I blink a few times.

"Uhm... G-good morning... Dawnie..." I say to her, very nervously.

"Morning." She answers. Her voice is emotionless. But there is something else changed too.
Her colors... Are those dark, grey ones? The vividness is gone. Just like her happiness.

"Dawnie I-" She stops me, quickly getting up and leaving the room. "What have I done..."

The rest of the day happens eventless. I tried to speak with her again and again, but she doesn’t even listen to me. At one point, she closed my mouth with magic.
I... I think I was right. This isn't my place. It never was.
The hour is coming. Celestia should be here soon.

I walked back in the kitchen. She was already there, waiting.

"Princess?" She nods, and then opens her mouth to ask, but stops. She sees that I'm a wreck. Finally, she speaks up.

"Marty? What is your choice?" I look in her eyes. She looks so motherly, so understanding...

"I... I think I have no place here."

Her expression changes into a sad frown.
I look down, to the floor, then up in her eyes again.

"I need to go back to Earth. I have things to do."

"Then... Let it be." Her horn begins to glow in the familiar magical aura. In the last second, a thing pops in my mind.

"Wait!" I cry up. Celestia give me a questioning look, and her magic dies down. “I want you to do something for me..."

I woke up in my own bed, in my own apartment, in my world, Earth. I look around and see that nothing changed according to my memories. Maybe there is a bit more dust but whatever, I'm not the cleaning type. I get up and check my mail.
Surprisingly, there is just a dozen. Surprising, I think I was in Equestria for a longer amount of time.
I walk to my PC and turn it on. A few minutes later, I'm on the internet, checking the mail and other stuff.

"Well... Nothing happened." I think for a moment. "It's time to get a paper and a pen."
I search through my table and, after a bit of rummaging, find the aforementioned items. I have a message to write, a message for everyone I know here.

Ten minutes later, I'm done. The letter is finished; I fold the paper in half and leave it on my table.
I need my cell phone now. It's in the usual place, on my night-stand. I check it: just 27 missed call.

"Awesome. Boss is gonna be crazy. Wait... Hah." I start to write a SMS to my parents to come here.
As soon as I finish, I send it. They will arrive seven hours later if they start now, so I have time.
I lean on my bed, watching the ceiling. Plain. Just like my future here.

I don't want to think so I get up and make my way to the PC: there are games to play with!
I start up TF2, and enjoy the funny quotes of the Scout when I dominate a noob... Poor kid..

Hours pass. It's getting dark again. Soon my time comes.
I look on the clock.

"Five fifty-five. Hmm, it's just November here, but around January there.. Different timelines?..." My thoughts are broken when the electricity goes off. "Time has come...."

I turn around and see a little sparkle in the middle of my room; it's in thin air. After a few seconds it begins to make a sizzling sound and grows. A minute later it's around a meter big. Then it stops, like if it froze or something.
I feel the air filling up with electricity; the tiny hairs on my arm are standing up.
The sparkle begins to widen. Then in a blink of an eye, it becomes a disk, pulsating in different shiny colors.
I look around for one more time.

"Good bye cruel word. Wait, not good bye, I don't want to see you again."

And I jump in the disk. All I can see is pure whiteness and immense pain in every point in my body, then...

I wake up. Opening my eyes reveals that I'm in a familiar place. I'm in Dawnie's home. In a bed... In Dawnie's bed. I feel a pleasant warmth at my left side. I turn my head and notice Dawnie lying next to me. And she is... Happy... Her colors are the bright ones again. She have even has smile on her face, and she is asleep.

'So she forgave me.' I think and begin to smile.

'Yes she is. But it wasn't an easy thing to convince her about your trip to your world!' My favorite troll princess' voice sounds up in my head.

'Where are you princess?' I ask her, imagining her making a troll face.

'In the kitchen! You won't believe what stuff she has here!' Her voice sounds excited, as if she found a treasure.

'Hey, get out of the kitchen it's the woman's place!' I say to her. 'Wait a second...'
Strongest. Mental. Facepalm. Ever.

I chose to wake Dawnie up. After a gentle poke on her side she wakes up, rubbing her eyes damn cutely.

"Nice to see you again..." I say and smile. After she focused her eyes, and sees my smiling face, she begins to grin.
Then with a sudden move she kisses me on the lips and doesn't let me go.
After like a minute she breaks the kiss.

"Don't you dare to leave me ever again!" She says, but her voice is more frightened than commanding.

"Never. You know, I have a special plan." She raises an eyebrow. "All I need is the help of a CHEEKY PRINCESS!!"

My shouting makes Dawnie cringe, but when Celestia opens the door a few seconds later, she is just confused.

"Yes? Do you need me?" Celestia asks, like if she is innocent.

"Yes..." I switch to mental conversation. 'Do you remember the plan?' She nods. 'Good. But if it doesn't works, then you are a dead princess.' She begins to grin and turns her head. Trollestiaaaa...

"Marty? What's going on?" Dawnie asks. She is still confused, but her confusion is needed for this process.

"You'll see my love, just wait a little." I caress her head as she likes it. She gave me a smile and I get out of the
bed.

"Are you ready, Martin O'Donell?" Celestia asks me. She tries to hide it, but she is excited. Just like me.

"I was born to be ready!" I say and walk in front of her, looking straight in her eyes. Her horn begins to glow in magic and she lowers her head, touching my forehead with the tip of her horn.
I feel the almost unbearable pain again and the soft darkness covers me again.

My awakening is different this time. When I open my eyes, everything looks bigger. I turn my head and regret it
immediately; I have the biggest headache I’ve ever had in my entire life. But the desire to look at Dawnie is bigger, so I move my head and see her, lying next to me, awake. She smiles and greets me.

"Welcome to my world, Marty." She says. She looks very happy.

"Uhm... Hi?..." I say, not sure about what I should say in this situation. But it doesn't matters for Dawnie, she begins to giggle then kisses me on the lips, it feels... Different this time.
Struggling with pain, I feel a raise my right arm... And see a hoof on the end instead of a hand.

"It worked." I look back on Dawnie. "Celestia isn't here anymore, right?"

"No, she is still in-"

"TIIIAAAAAA!!!"

Dawnie made so funny of an expression, I wanted to laugh my head off, but the pain I felt prevented it.
A few seconds later the princes opened the door and walked in.

"You know Marty, I'm still the ruler of this world, and you are the part of it now." She says with a mischievous smile.

"Yeah-yeah, sure, whatever. Can you please stop my everything to be in pain? It's killing me." She tilted her head then the usual magical aura glowed up on her horn. A second later all my pain was gone.

"Good enough?" She asks, rising both of her eyebrows.

"Yes, thank you princess, I owe you one." I give her a thankful smile. Then I hear her voice in my head.

'I think you can pay that to me in a way...' My eyes are widening when I see her expression. She licked her lips.

'Ewwww... Seriously?' She nods slowly. 'Aaaarghhhh, get out of my head!' She begins to grin.

"Marty, what's going on again?" Dawnie is as confused as she used to when I speak mentally with the princess.

"Nothing, nothing. Hmm, Celestia wanted to leave, I think we should show her the way out." I say and with a quick move I hop out of the bed, just to faceplant on the floor.

"Ow... Right. I'm a pony now. Four legs." I say sarcastically.

"And two wings!" Cheers Dawnie, when she sees me lying on the floor.

"Wait, what?"

"Yes, you are a pegasus." She smirks. "And a handsome one, I have to say!"

"How... How do I look like? Colors?" I can't really see myself, what do you expect? New body and stuff...

"Well, your coat is dark-tan, your eyes are light-green and your mane and tail are blue.. Hmm, royal-blue if I want to be accurate."

"Oh? What the heck? I look awesome!" I try to stand up. Surprisingly, I can stand upright on the first try. "Alright, let's just walk slowly." I move my right foreleg and the left hind leg. "Uhm..."

To learn walking again wasn't as hard as I expected. Actually, it was like riding a bike after a few couples of years, you know the basics and just have to practice a little, then it goes easy.

After I relearned it, we said our last 'thank you'-s and 'goodbye'-s to Celestia, who (probably) teleported back to her castle.

"So, what's next?" I ask Dawnie. She answers with a smile. "Dawnie...tell me what is in your mind..." She smiles even wider, then she... Winks... "Really?" She nods. "Heck yeah!"

More than a year passed. Dawnie and I decided that we need a bigger place to live in, so we moved in a large family-house in the town. And you can imagine... Being a dad made me proud and happy more than I could ever hope for.
We named the little one after his maternal grandfather. His name is Sunbeam. He is one hell of a little colt, just a few months old and already able to do magic!

By the way, my name is Zephyr Verve. And this was my story.
